Hello,We have been using CANbus as our form of communication for a system with multiple nodes. Each node was individually tested with CAN and all of them work without issue. However, when we started system integration testing, we noticed significant noise on the CANbus channel that caused data to stop. To give more details, we are running 2 battery packs, a power electronics DC/AC converters (to create a 120Vac signal) and a central supervisory controller, which are all using STM32 MCUs to communicate to each other via CANbus. We are using an STM32H7AGI6, STM32F401RE, STM32F303RE. When we send a CANbus command to start the DC/AC converter, that is when the noise appears and we cannot communicate with the MCUs until the DC/AC converter is turned off. We have termination resistors at the end of the bus and I have verified that the 60 Ohm resistance is seen on the bus. Hello ST experts,I configured an STM32H745 dual core to read data from ADC1/ADC2 in dual mode. I dedicated the M7 core to initialize ADCs, timer and DMA. But after running the code it seems that the ADC is not working either DMA.  I used the similar code on the STM32H750 single core. The code is correct.I think I have to configure extra settings for dual core such as managing the memory. Could you please help me.The DMA is in circular mode with "Word" data length.TIM2 triggers the ADCs. 

Hi ST team,Is VREFINT in STM32C011F4P6 internally fixed and stable, independent of VDDA fluctuations?If VDDA fluctuates (for example due to LDO load or battery discharge), will the ADC raw readings change proportionally because ADC reference = VDDA?Is it officially recommended for STM32C0 users to read VREFINT periodically and compute real VDDA to correct all ADC channels, especially when VDDA is not stable? Example : - ADC accuracy change if VDDA fluctuation like 3.3v to 2.9v. ? or it can take ref from Vrefint ?

I am trying to create a signal that changes its frequency in dynamic way using timers  but i am having some issues to do it can anyone give me some tips for easy implementation to do this task

  Couldn't see a definitive answer in the datasheet - What is the source \ sink capability of a USART TX \ RTS pin? The nearest answer I could find was page 128 of DS13313 Rev 5 - "GPIOs (general purpose input/outputs) can sink or source up to ±8 mA, and sink or source up to ±20 mA" but there isn't anything specifically that mentions alternate function pin capability. Can TX and RTS pins directly source or sink an LED via a 220 Ohm resistor (that would be ~15mA each) ? I'm thinking I may have to add external drives like high side MOSFETs otherwise. Thanks.

Hello, I would like to enable overdrive mode on my N657X0. This chip supports 800MHz operation but is usually limited to 600MHz. The manuals specifies to enable overdrive mode before configuring the CPU clock to reach the maximum frequency. I was wondering if there are any - for beginners like me not obvious - ways for the chip or its peripherals to get damaged when enabling overdrive mode. Kind regards, Len

Hello,I have found an inconsistency in the documentation for the STM32U031K8 MCU on ST.com:The Reference Manual (RM0503), Revision 4 is listed on the documentation page, and Table 22 in RM0503 Rev 4 indicates that LPUART2 does not have wake-up capability.

Hi Team,We are currently working with a custom board that uses the STM32H745BIT6 MCU, and we are attempting to connect it to the STLINK-V3SET debugger. However, we are experiencing intermittent debugging issues described below:The debugger successfully enters debug mode only 2–3 times when done the first time.In most cases, the debugger connects and enters debug mode, but after approximately 6–8 seconds, it displays a “Target lost” error (please refer to the attached photo).Often, it shows “Target not responding.” When this happens, we need to power cycle the board. Our Engineering team is currently having difficulties getting our onboard STM32F303RB MCU to enumerate as a USB DFU device when entering Bootloader mode. We require this functionality in order to be able to upgrade our firmware out in the field. We are able to have our application firmware enumerate a USB device but no luck with the bootloader. The STM32 communicates to an Embedded Linux Host via a USB Hub: Embedded Linux Host <-> USB Hub <-> STM32 We have a few questions regarding getting the bootloader to enumerate. On the internet there appears to be mixed messages as to whether the STM32F303RB MCU uses an internal pullup when in the Bootloader. Are you able to confirm whether it does enable an internal pullup for the bootloader? I have set BOOT0 HIGH but there is also mixed messages about BOOT1 being pulled to GND. To enter USB DFU mode does BOOT1 have to be pulled to GND or is it a don't care and can be left floating? Is

Hi! I'm trying to muddle my way through a project in which I'd like to use an stm32u5 MCU. I would like to extend the RAM/FLASH of the MCU by using PSRAM and eMMC; it seems that higher densities of PSRAM require being run at 1.8V, so I am imagining powering at least the digital side of the MCU with a 1.8V rail. My application also involves motor control; I'll be using the STSPIN233, which can also be powered by a 1.8V rail. I would like to perform current sensing, and here's where my question comes in. I'd like to use a current sense amplifier, e.g. TI's INA181 (or similar). These devices need a 3.3V rail for power. I am curious whether it is better to:Power the analog domain of the stm32u5 at 3.3V. The current sense amplifiers + shunt resistors are scaled such that I produce a total rail-to-rail voltage near 3.3V, biased at 1.65V.Power the analog domain of the stm32u5 at 1.8V. Dear,  Can you confirm that OCTOSPI P2 is available only on WLCSP208 and TFBGA216 packages of this series?  I wanted to use both OCTOSPI interfaces in LQFP144, but noticed that there is missing only OCTOSPIM_P2_IO3 line in it, so my conclusion is that LQFP144 supports only one OCTOSPI. Is that right?  Thank you. 

Hello everybody, I am new here so please let me know, if there is important information missing. Thank you already for you time! I set up a STM32U575I-EV board for communication with CAN. The STM Board, a PCAN-USB dongle and an Oszilloskope are connected to the bus. The Bus is terminated correctly with two 120 Ohm resistors. I use the HAL libraries to interface with the FDCAN peripherie. The jumpers from the eval board are set to connect PB9 and PB8 with the CAN transceiver and to disconnect PB8 from the USB-C PD-interface. To test the setup I send dummy frames (ID: 0x000, DLC: 1, Data: 0x00). The frame is visible on the Bus and also the ACK from PCAN is visibile. PCAN USB has a 200mV higher voltage on CAN High 0 level. Here is the dummy frame on the Oszi: 

I am currently evaluating microcontroller options for our project and need your support in identifying a suitable MCU.Our key interface requirements are as follows:   2× MDIO interfaces,3× I2C bus interfaces If you could recommend an MCU that supports these features or share any relevant technical details/datasheets, it would be very helpful.If not, please also suggest alternate part numbers that can meet this requirement.

I am a fan of STM32, especially the peripheral sets offered are great. Over the years however, one type of peripheral is missing which would be a great help for many projects, this is a programmable logic cell.Such a cell would contain elements like Flip-Flops, Look Up Tables and such that can be configured for specific functions. For instance using the LUT's, it would be possible to create all kinds of logic operations like AND, OR, XOR gates.Using the Flip-Flops, I would be able for instance to create a clock gate, which I needed in my last project. There I needed an external clock signal to propagate to other peripherals and be able to enable/disable this. In the end I manage to create this function with a timer but this unfortunately generates something like 9 clock cycles of latency limiting the maximum frequency of the external clock signal. A basic Flip-Flop solution would probably introduce a much smaller latency.Competing products offer this kind of fun

Hello All,I am current testing STM32U375RGT6Q at 80 degrees and I see that there is significant increase in the average current consumption at 80 degrees C. Average Current consumption increases from 290uA to 1mA. Also note that1) Pull up and Pull down are 1Mega2) MCU is in sleep mode for 50 percent of the time.3) Internal oscillator MSI is used at 3MHz4) Flash memory is 1MB5) SMPS mode is used to reduce the current consumption.Is there a way out to reduce the current consumption at high temperature. I know that STM32L4 series are more stable over temperature but they dont suite the current budget of 300uA

I'm working on a device that requires requires 12 audio output channels and 10 input channels. I wish to do this over 16-slot TDM. Now, I'm concerned about whether this can be done with 32 bits per sample. The reference manual states in section 54.4.6 Frame synchronization "The audio frame length can be configured to up to 256 bit clock cycles". 256/16=16. Does this mean I can only do 16-bit audio with 16-slot TDM? Or did I misread.

I've STM32G474 using the HRTIMER to control a boost converter, each channel has it's own converter. This all works nicely with the deadtime, no issues. When I come to do a pulse skip, (set CMP3 to 0) the deadtime is still being inserted in the the Tx2 output even though Tx1 output is not being pulsed! Is this normal or have I missed something? I've tried a few things to not make the deadtime happen, like disabling the set and reset sources... the only thing that fixes the problem is to also set the falling deadtime to 0 and then subsequently resetting it back to the required value. Tx2 has no set or reset sources configured.

Hi,I would like to know where I can find the SPI controller version of the STM32G491.AN5543 lists features depending on the SPI controller version and says "To identify the version and the available feature set refer to the product reference manual and datasheet". However, I was not able to find this info in the RM or datasheet of the STM32G491 or anywhere else.

Hi, Does anyone know the default voltage level of an LPUART output as I am trying to interface with a device with a UART logic level of 1.8V so might need a level converter? Couldn't see anything about LPUART voltage on the datasheet? 

Hi,I have setup three channels in Timer_2 on an 32F429 MCU and have come across a seemingly inconsistent behaviour with regards to the alternate functions mentioned on the datasheet.More specifically, I have setup pins PA0, PA1, PA2 for Output_Compare, Input_Capture and PWM against channels 1, 2 and 3 of Timer_2 respectively and although the behaviour I observe on pins PA0 and PA1 is the expected one (well nearly the expected one but will ask a new question a bit later as that's probably a separate issue), pin PA2 is entirely dead as I don't get any pulsatio

Hello,I want to generate four 50% duty cycle frequencies up to ~12kHz. It should be possible to enable/disable single outputs. Currently no special high requirements about accuracy, etc. Using a STM32U0 device (56MHz max).My first thought was to use an upcounting timer with four output compare channels where the timer itself is free running (ARR set to max. value). The compare channels are set to toggle on match and on each OC interrupt, the corresponding CCR register value is set to the next equivalent ARR value to toggle again. For example, if the timer is running at 1MHz and 1kHz frequency is needed, 1000 will be added to the CCR. To start/stop the output, I'd modify the corresponding OCxM value between toggle and frozen mode.However, I'm not sure if this is the most efficient way, especially regarding overhead and complexity. Another solution which came to my mind was to use a DDS approach with a (low power) timer, constantly firing interrupts
