Hey all, just installed STM32CubeIDE on cachyOS and connected my HiLetGo STM32F103C8T6 dev board (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VKSVM21), and the IDE is giving me the following error when I try to debug or deploy:I tried installing ST-LINK-SERVER separately just to be safe, and it said that it was already installed. (I assume as part of the Cube IDE installation.) Also reinstalled libusb (Version 1.0.29-1.1).I can see STM32x_USB under Removable Devices in the system browser when plugged in, so I know the board is

After updating CubeMX to version 6.16.2, we are seeing HRtimer E and F problems which cause our product to fail.  Reverting back to 6.15 and regenerating the code allows our device to work.  I believe the issue is due to the change in the code database version: MxDb.Version=DB.6.0.161 but I can't be sure as the new version of cubeMX forces values into the HRtimer E and F configurations.Hoping for commiseration and resolution!ThanksRauk

Hi,I am trying to debug STM32N6 program loaded in external flash. When I started the debugger in the FSBL project I can put a breakpoint just before it jumps into application inside external flash. It is obvious I wont be able to see the symbols since it is not loaded. So I loaded my application elf file under debug_configuration/Startup/Load Image and Symbols (See attached image). The UCPD Dead-battery mechanism is a major gotcha in many new STM32, as it creates a surprising bond between seemingly unrelated pins, and is on by default. There cannot be enough warnings to this, as users not intending to use the PD (which is probably the vast majority) have no incentive to actively seek for such bond.As much as I abhor the whole Cube ecosystem, this is the one case where a sin committed in hardware design decision can be made right at least for those who click in the CubeMXes. The above bond can be highlighted in the pin diagram, and auto-generated code can disable DBCC automagically for all who don't actively enable PD.JW

Hello,I generated a project using STM32CubeMX2 for Nucleo-C5A3ZG and I imported the project using the 'STM32CubeMX2 Project' option into STM32CubeIDE. I can compile and link the code without any issues however I noticed that there is only one build configuration (debug_GCC_NUCLEO-C5A3ZG for my project). Can STM32CubeMX2 also create a release  build configuration?My second related question what is the best way to add compile flags? I managed to add a -DDEBUG flag to the flags.cmake file and it works fine. Is this the right way to do it? Would project regeneration be troubled by this change?Finally, if I opted in for 'Assert checks on function parameters' and 'Assert checks on module state' in STM32CubeMX2 HAL System Init is there a way to only have this functionality enabled only for a debug build? Thank you,Gil 

Hello,According to Table 246 in section 27.3.3 Signal Routing of the STM32U3 Reference Manual, I should be able to configure ADC1_IN6 as an ADC input when using OPAMP1, or ADC1_IN13/ADC2_IN9 when using OPAMP2 such that the output of the opamps are routed internally to the input of the ADC.However, in CubeMX configuration for this device, enabling the Opamp in any capacity "red's out" the option to use the corresponding ADC input for any of these combinations. I noticed that STM32CubeMX2 (DEBUG features page) offers only three debug modes: JTAG 4‑pin, JTAG 5‑pin, and Single Wire Trace Asynchronous.In many practical cases, developers use only the SWCLK and SWDIO lines to save pins, so the absence of a simple Serial Wire option (without Trace) seems to be a limitation of the current STM32CubeMX2 release.This option is still available in STM32CubeMX1 when working with similar MCUs, such as the STM32H5 series.Is this understanding correct?

Split from STM32CubeIDE missing “STM32 Project” and CubeMX after fresh installation - that issue was resolved.This is a new issue.The new version 2.1.1 appears pretty useless even after trying to make a project with the separate cubemx. From the IDE you cannot then build the project. It just sits there. I would hope that the IDE is at at capable of building and compiling the project but it appears that is no longer the case.Did you employ someone from microsoft to break it. It was working perfectly before hand. New->STM Project->.....->build->debug. I will revert back to 1.19 to avoid wasting more time and just use an older CubeMX as that was the only reason I upgraded P

Hello everyone!I am trying to get a custom board based on an STM32WBA5MMG to join my existing ZigBee network. As a first test, I have created a basic project in CubeMX, that configures STM32_WPAN to generate a ZigBee project with one OnOff-Endpoint and sets up USART2 for logging. I am trying to download the windows version of the IDE but I can't get it to work. Either the download button doesn't do anything or it's just not there. I've tried with different email accounts, different web browsers, different networks but that didn't do it. I've looked on here and it was suggested to disable browser extensions like ad-blockers and such and I've disabled all of them and still nothing. I would appreciate any help.

Hi,I am trying to migrate a STM32F767ZGT6 based project to STM32H743ZGT6. According to AN4936, they should be pin to pin compatible. When I manually compared the each pin, and assigned the state of each PIN as used in STM32F767ZGT6 to STM32H743ZGT6, they seem indeed to be P2P compatible too. But If I try to list PIN compatible MCUs in STM32CubeMx, as of the latest v6.17.0, STM32H743ZGT6 is not listed. Hello, I have a problem verifying the HCLK frequency for Nucleo-C562RE. I configure the clock to 144MHz (see image below). When I start the application I print the HCLK frequency: SEGGER_RTT_printf("---- MCU started at %lu[Hz] ----\n", HAL_RCC_GetHCLKFreq()); I get 48MHz: ---- MCU started at 48000000[Hz] ---- While stepping through the HAL_Init code I see that the code thinks that the clock source is LL_RCC_SYS_CLKSOURCE_STATUS_HSIDIV3 (48MHz)

I’m working with an STM32H533 and would like to generate an SFI firmware using STM32CubeProgrammer.Is it possible to use the SFI procedure without an HSM?In particular, can the license file be generated without the card?

This is also the case for the STM32H745.This is the valid range according to the CubeMX field description (there is also a typo for the Parameter Description "Fisrt"):First Rx Descriptor AddressFirst Rx Descriptor Address must be between 0x24000000 and 0x30047fff.Parameter Description:Fisrt Rx Descriptor address must be only in the D2 Domain AHB SRAM. I do not know what happened. If I double-click ioc file, it used to open inside CubeIDE. But now it will open inside another separated cubemx window. I may have changed some settings by mistake.How to change the settings back so I can open ioc file inside CubeIDE?

I am running the pre-compiled "object Detection" files on the STM32N6570-DK and am in the process of trying to generate my own STM32CubeMX setup project for the fsbl.I am having difficulty setting up the numerous options for the DCMIPP for this project and have read a lot of the recommended documentation but there does not seem to be any specific details for interfacing to the MB1854 camera module on this kit.From what I can figure out the "Object Detection" demo uses pipe1 for the display and pipe2 for the NPU processing but I am lost as to what settings to use for DCMIPP in STM32CubeMX.I need to know what pipe formats, data types etc are needed for each of the pipe1 and pipe2 settingsCan anyone please help me with this?

Hello,I have a custom PCB that uses an STM32L4R9 controller and runs two applications. One is a bootloader and other is the actual app. The files are called boot.hex and app.hex.The boards are made via a vendor and programmed with these files during ICT. We use ST Link programmer and SWD connection to program the devices.I use the ST Link V2 Utility CLI to do this.A batch file is made that runs all the commands that program the option bytes, erase chip, and programs the above files.The problem I am facing is, the batch file fails to execute the first time. It fails after the option bytes step. The second time however, it always executes and programs the applications successfully.I did wonder whether this is because the Read Out protection for STM32L4R is set to 1 from the factory? But again, I tried to revert the option bytes to factory after which I cannot read the flash memory again before setting it back to Level 0.But if I connect

Hi SupportI have experience in STM32 with Zephyr but I am trying out AMP for the first time.So I am trying out OpenAMP example from STM32CubeIDE. I can compile the example but cannot flash the same.I have the following errorThe ST-Link device is present as shown below 

CubeMX Project Manager has a bug, where when I accidentally cleared the "Project Location" field and moved the cursor away CubeMX complains that project location cannot have special characters and cannot be empty. But this popup does not go away and gives you no chance to correct your mistake. Screenshot attached. Host OS: Ubuntu 24.04.4 CubeMX version: 6.15.0  Edit: Turns out there was a new version of CubeMX (6.17.0) where this problem disappears. You click 4-5 times on OK and the dialog disappears. Should I delete the question in this case?

Hi,When I downloaded a .hex file to my STM32H563VGT6 (1MB Flash) using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.20.0, I encountered an issue where it would erase the wrong sector. For example, as shown in the image below, it was supposed to erase sectors (76..91) and sector 115, but I found that the contents of sector 27 is erased.I also try to "Erase selected sectors" (76..116) manually, but sector 27 still be erased.However, I did not have this problem when downloading the same .hex file using an STM32H563ZIT6 (2MB Flash).
