Could I erase rtc backup registers with STM32CubeProgrammer ?

Hello,I just downloaded STMCubeIDE 2.1.1 to generate a simple project for a Nucleo-C562RE board.I am not using CubeMX2 (for various reason, that is not the point).The default empty project generated for STM32C562RE by the IDE has only 1 SRAM element with a size of 64K, instead of 2 SRAM elements of 64K each.FLASH size is correct though.Out of curiosity, if ST were to push a fix for this kind of bug, would it be a new IDE release ? or could it be a STM32C5 pack update only ?

I cannot get USB DFU serial boot to work correctly with STM32CubeProgrammer.I keep getting the error "Please specify Binaries path" but there is no area to specify the binary path.Does anyone have any experience with USB serial boot on the STM32N6.

Hi,I just installed STM32CubeProgrammer v2.17.0 on Linux.When I connect to the board (tried with several different ones), I get the following error;flash loader cannot be loaded. FlashLoaderPath = /home/[yadayada]/bin/FlashLoader/0xI can read the flash, I can do everything, with the exception of flashing. This fails.I first thought it might be a truncated log message. But when I just copied any of the loader files and gave it the file name "0x", I didn't get the error message. So it really looks for a file named "0x". It looks like in the code, the assembly of the file name (all the files match the pattern 0x*.stldr) I tried to do an software update, but this also fails: "The updater package on server is corrupted"  

 Hello,I am encountering an issue with the ST example projects "BLE_p2pServer" and "BLE_DataThroughput_Server" for the NUCLEO-WBA65RI board.After generating the code using STM32CubeMX (version 6.17), the project does not include all the required source files. As a result, the compilation fails immediately, even before making any modifications to the code.I enabled the option:"Generate peripheral initialization as a pair of '.c/.h' files per peripheral".The main issue is that the following file is missing:"stm32wbaxx_ll_utils.c" .It seems that some HAL/LL driver files are not being generated or included properly in the project.Could you please adv

Heyho, wanted to check if C5 might be good for next project and have a first look at MX2. Installed it, started project with C562 / Nucleo - and nothing happens, except for a short error message in the bottom right corner of the window: "error when downloading packs" ( + some file name). Further info: - Windows 11 - started MX2 first as normal user, then as admin, same behaviour - all other STM32 tools running fine (MX1, IDE, Prog)

hello ST Community,Is it possible to generate a binary file that is a *.elf file from a project developed by STM32CubeIDE?Using the correct settings for generating *.bin files.The *.bin file would be used to create a bootloader via UART for one of the STM32 microcontrollers.Thanks for your valuable support.  

Yesterday I was able to generate a cmake project which included main.c/h files. I opened the project in VS Code but had errors trying to build. I had VS code fix the errors so now I am able to build the project. Today, I generated another project but the main.c/h files are missing as seen in the screen shot. I've timed the project generation and it takes 3 minutes to generate a project. Why so long? Why are the IOC files created outside of the project folder?      

I'm having an issue with STM32CubeProgrammer v2.22.0. I'm making an external loader for the stm32U031R8 (on the nucleo board). My spi flash code works fine in the my actual application program. If I strip my code down (removing Read,Verify, instrumentation, etc) and get it under the 8K of SRAM1, the programmer works. when you enable SWD in CubeMX2 it automatically blocks the SWO pin as well (tested using C531FBP6), but I only need SWCLK / SWDIO to debug. please add a way to disable the use of SWO.

Quick question. I am working on two projects:One is a dual-core project, and uses the STM32H755 and CMSIS-RTOS v2 over Free RTOS. I often have to debug two boards simultaneously.Another project is using STM32H573. This uses TrustZone and ThreadX (on the non-secure side).Both are currently managed via ST Cube IDE (Eclipse based of course) and debugging is already quite "complex".I can see advantages with VS Code, but moreover, I would not be surprised if the VS Code route becomes the de-facto standard some day (purely speculative of course), so I think I may need to start looking at it.Before I do, my question to the community is whether the VS Code option is yet mature enough for dual core and TrustZone projects?Many thanks in advance,Nick

Hi,I found an issue when generating code for a BLE application with STM32CubeMX v6.17.0.In particular, I have a service called DataTransferService with three characteristics:DataStreamCommandControlTransferStatusThe DataStream characteristic is configured as a notification with a fixed value length of 100 bytes.When I try to increase its length up to 250 bytes and regenerate the code, the following functions in custom_app.c are removed:Custom_Datastream_Update_Char()Custom_Datastream_Send_Notification()I have attached the .ioc file for reference.

I'm trying to configure and generate a project with STM32CubeMX for the STM32WBA5MMGHx BLE module.When enabling the STM32_WPAN middleware, the ADV_TRACE module gets automatically enabled under Utilities. Hello, This is a pretty straightforward bug report. For F767 Devices, when trying to configure dual boot mode over UART, the nDBOOT Option byte doesnt appear for Cubeprogrammer versions greater than v2.14 The typically workflow is1) uncheck nDBANK2) apply3) restart/reconnect4) nDBOOT option byte appears5) uncheck nDBOOT6) apply.This works on all versions of Cubeprogrammer using an STlink - good! But when executing this same sequence using the UART Bootloader on version v2.15 to v2.22, the nDBOOT option bytes never appears after step 3.  This regression is preventing us from using newer versions of CubeProgrammer. Best,Daniel

In this way, everytime I restart the controller, the RTC date is gonna be overwritten. In practice, I would like to have the bracket at line 9 down in line 21. Hi, I'm using stm32cubeide version 2.1.1 and version 1.15.1/windows11, both are compiling the same project on my PC at slower speed compared to a lab computer.(3min vs 20seconds) Any idea what could be causing the issue? Thanks!

@Mahmoud Ben Romdhane I am still seeing this on ST Cube MX 6.16.1 when generating for the STM32F723E-DISCO target. This is using the latest STM32F7 package, 1.17.4. Attached is my IOC file if that's helpful.I know its a trivial fix but wanted to report this is ongoing.
