STM32 MCUs Software development tools

I've had a Cube project running for a weeks on a board and it's started behaving really weirdly. It started by crashing when I added a call to read the external SPI ADC. Took it out and it worked. I'd not changed the ADC code so I was bemused by this but started to take bits of code and out to see at what point it would be happy. If then started jumping all over the place when I was single stepping through the code. So, for example, jumping back to the function that had called the place where I'd set the breakpoint and then steppinhg back into the function with the break point. I thought, ah, this sounds like a stack overflow. Tried increasing it to no avail and it was already a pretty big stack anyhow. Way bigger then needed for the amount of functions I'd buried down into. I'm not passing much into the functions. Unplugging and repluging the JLink helped once or twice, but that no longer helps. I still have problems with the STM32 Programmer with USB connection to Controller in DFU Mode! The programming is running through with a verify error and the controller still has the old programm? See LOG from the programmer! Read and Connect is always possible but programming always comes with verify error? I have a project (https://github.com/carlk3/Digital-Automotive-Generator-Voltage-Regulator) that I've been developing in STM32CubeIDE on (Ubuntu) Linux. Now I want to move it to STM32CubeIDE on Windows. I'm using GitHub for source code management (SCM), and also, eventually, to share the project. I've tried a few different ways to clone the project from GitHub to Windows, but I haven't been able to come up with a buildable project in STM32CubeIDE. Most recently, I installed and set up EGit (Git integration for Eclipse), and was able to use it to Import the project, but it won't build. I get 3185 errors, 73 warnings. I'm debugging STM32F767NIH6 on a custom board (similar to F767-DISCO).The program runs in internal RAM (at 0x20000000)When the debugger is OpenOCD, HAL_RCC_OscConfig fails.When the debugger is the ST-Link GDB server, all is good. I tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it but it didn't work. Can somebody help me? Hello ST Community,currently I am thinking about how to ensure that different developers working on the same project are able to keep exact results. Building, linking, debugging and flashing process should be reproducible and identical for my purposes. Any recommendations on this?When using STM32CubeIDE I had the problem that the project files, which contain information about the toolchain etc., are very difficult to manage. (XML files containing absolute paths, .cproject, .project files etc. are changing on every startup of IDE).Currently I manage in a separate GIT repository tools like:- GNU ARM Embedded Toolchain- Make- STM32CubeProgrammer- OpenOCDThe firmware is in a separate GIT repository and relies on a Makefile build process. Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to Git and I'm trying to use it as my firmware version manager for an existing STM32 project. I set up correctly my project directory to work on my computer and with Bitbucket and everything works fine. I created a new branch before doing some big changes to the project, and I did a checkout towards this branch. The problem is that when I modify anything inside Cube IDE, the modification doesn't appear inside the "real" file that I find on my computer inside the directory : for example, if I add "//test" into main.c inside Cube IDE, and then I open main.c with VSCode, this line does not appear. I checked several times that the file path is EXACTLY the same (D:/__Git/MyProject/Core/src/main.c), but it does not work at all. Is it a problem with my setup, with Cube IDE, or with my understanding of Git ? Does anyone have a solution ? Best Regards.

According to the "known issues" post, importing an existing .ioc file from STMCubeMX is currently unsupported.I'm starting a new project and would like to use the IDE for this - but my engineer designed the product using CubeMX.Is there any kind of workaround for this?As I see it, my options are:1) manually recreate his work2) keep using the "old" tools (CubeMX & Keil compiler)Not sure which would be "better".Thanks.

Why? It seems like after 23:59 the clock set to 24:00. To 25:00 one hour later.Is this behavior related to initialization? I'm tempted to just check the TR for values over 23 and subtract 23 when initializing. It would obviously fix the issue, but it seems a little silly ;)

If I set read protection (RDP=0xBB) on my STM32H7 MCU, it seems that both software reset and hardware reset commands stop working, e.g. I type:STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=SWD sn=XXXXXXX reset=HWrst -hardRstand nothing happens. Also, the MCU will not reset after flashing if read protection is set to 0xBB. Is this expected behaviour?Edit. After some experimenting it seems that in the GUI STM32CubeProgrammer it is not possible to run the firmware by clicking Run button in MCU core view if RDB is set. Hi,in cube monitor settings.js file there is a line  //flowFile: 'flows.json',As it is commented, the used flow file should fall back to a default.But when uncommenting it and setting to a certain file name it does nor work, it still uses stm32cubemonitor/flows.json. Is there any way to have several desktop links that each open cube monitor with a diferent flow file?Reading the node red docs this should be possible, but it seems not with cube monitorAny help is welcomePS Which is the right group for cube monitor questions?

I have STM32CubeIDE installed on a lab machine where internet connectivity is restricted. I need to install v1.27.1. I was able to go to the st.com site and download the en.stm32cubef4_v1-27-0.zip file, transfer it to my lab machine, then using Help->Manage Embedded Software Packages to point at the local ZIP file and install the 1.27.0 main version. However, when I try to install the 1.27.1 patch (en.patch_cubef4_v1-27-1.zip) to upgrade to 1.27.1, the Manage Embedded Software Packages option claims that the zip file is not compatible.It appears that the only way to get the 1.27.1 upgrade is to use the Help->Check for Embedded Software Packages Updates option. But, that requires an internet connection. There does not appear to be a local file selection option. So, now I'm stuck because of the lab's internet restriction.Isn't there a way to get the incremental updates without having to use the internet?

when timer mode set as single shot, the timer will not run, but if the event filter is disabled, it can run normally.when event filter enabled, timer mode set as continuous mode wiill run normal.

using CUBE IDE here.I see how to add other header paths but I'm sure I need to tell the compiler I made a new folder off of src and for it to add my source files. Is there a way to tell the linker I have another c file?under the source location , I can only add the debug folder, it does not let me add any others.

This only happens to new variables added to my C code after Oct 2022. "Old" variables still work fine. When I add failing variables to the "Expression" tab I get "Error: Multiple errors reported". Hello everyoneI am using stm32f103ze with jlink plus debug probe and stm32CubeIde1.When I generate the necessary code for my controller and press the RUN button in STM32CubeIde , the program is loaded to flash but does not start running(for example led does not start blinking)But when I power down the controller and power on again the program starts executing(led starts blinking)2. When after programming the program does not start executing , and I press the program button again, The program starts executingMy Question is why is this behavior when the behavior should be identical each time I press the RUN buttonIs it necessary to power down the controller.can we not get the program executing just after flashing it ?
