STM32 MCUs Software development tools

I've just started to learn FreeRTOS on CMSIS and im trying to make an interactive menu on a task and I also have another task with an HAL_GPIO_TogglePin just to coexist and see that both tasks are working. The menu text itself is sent to the terminal with no issues, then I send a character thar corresponds to one of the options available. The character is identified correctly and I've setted an informative message to confirm the option and give more instructions, but only the 2 or 3 first characters of the message are sent, then HardFault_Handler is activated.I've tried some solutions like changing the TIM6 to Systick for the Timebase Source, because some people say that Youtube Tutorials are wrong about changing it to TIM6.On the image below you can see my Transmit_Callback that I've been using in all my programs before starting to use FreeRtos.

When trying to configure ADC with DMA in CubeMx, the code generation for the calls to the initialization functions sometimes end up in the wrong order, in my case, the call for MX_DMA_Init was placed after the call to MX_ADC1_Init which made the adc reading fail. To fix it, I reseted the peripheral configurations for ADC and DMA in CubeMx and configured them again, this led to the correct order being generated.It seems that the order of the steps you take to configure the peripherals can sometimes lead to a wrong code generation. This was tested on STM32CubeIDE 1.9.0 which is the last version at the moment of this post.

I am working on STM32h753zi board i have one main task with the size of 3K inside that i was calling 6 tasks.Task 1 - 5K Normal priorityTask 2 - 1K Normal priorityTask 3 - 2K Normal priorityTask 4 - 2K Normal priorityTask 5 - 1K Normal priorityTask 6  - 3K Normal priority Problem: If comment out one or two tasks then only other tasks are running otherwise some tasks are failed to connect. example: I comment out task 5,6 then task 3,4 is working properly.      I comment out task 4 then task 3 is working properly.->I am not facing any hardfault handler or malloc issues.  ->There is no global variables are there.I dont know how to fix this issue and i dont know how find the reason. Please give your guidance thankyou.

Hello everybody,I just recently installed CubeIDE on my Mac and Windows systems. On both Code Proposals for thinks like HAL functions or user defined functions does not work. Hi. I am using STM32L031 for my project. And I am using I2C to read eeprom. It is reading eeprom properly but if you see duty cycle on SCL(red one in the pic below), it is not 50%.My I2C spped is 400kHz. ON time I get is 750ns and OFF time is 1.96us. Why is this happening?(NOTE: I have nRF52833 connected to the same eeprom as well)I used STM32CubeIDE to generate code.

Hello there,After an update off STM32CubeIde from 1.17.0 to 1.19.0, the compilation of my code generates a lot of undefined references in functions like HAL_Init(). Do you know how to solve this problem? All of the header files are linked in same C file.

Hi,We would like to use the STM32CubeProgrammer API to connect to multiple targets in parallel and program OTP, flash, option bytes etc. Each ST-Link is handled by a separate process.The problem is, that after connecting in direct (non-shared) mode to the 1st ST-Link, the 2nd process is unable to list the rest of them, the getStLinkList function returns with 0.If the shared mode is enabled, then the 2nd process can only see the ST-Link that is already used by the 1st process.Is this a limitation of the library, or are we doing something wrong?

I have a B-L462E-CELL1 board, and I have managed to compile code in STM32CubeExpansion_CELLULAR_V5.2.0 with MQTT client enabled in IAR IDE.Since IAR is not free, I tried to follow its code structure and build it in CubdeIDE.However, the CubeIDE compiled code crashes at HardFault_Handler after running a while. Hi,I want to sample 9 channels with 1 ADC, using DMA in circular buffer mode with continuous conversion. I try to set, using last version STM32CubeIDE, the ADC to get 8 analog inputs, using DMA, with permanent conversion.I doesn't see anymore the rank 1 ? (see picture)When I start HAL_ADC_Start_DMA, i have only the AN0 value, and only 8 bits (I set12bits in parameters), and not refreshed (only one conversion). I just set up a new laptop and installed the Cube Programmer but I keep getting the error: CubeProgrammer_API or one of it's dependencies is missing. Please try reinstalling the program or check your java architecture.I am running Windows 10 64-bitI installed 2.10.0 (SetupSTM32CubeProgrammer_win64)I can run it in admin mode to get it to work, but when I do that it can't see the network shares that I have mapped. Since we keep all of our 'master' images on a network share, that's kind of important for me. Besides, "running as admin" feels like a hack anyways. If it needs to run as admin, it should pop up with a message saying to please restart in admin mode. If it doesn't need to run in admin, why can't it find the java files?

I'm using u8g2 as a Git Submodule in an STM32CubeIDE project. It has a "sys" subdirectory that contains 87 main.c files. When I save Device Configuration it opens all 87 files, then Device Configuration Tool vanishes. Exclude from Build doesn't help. Marking the files Hidden in Windows file system doesn't help. Is this expected behavior? Is there a workaround?

It was programming using STM32H753.However, when the size of the program is over 128 KB, it does not work.How can we solve this?

Posted on January 22, 2018 at 19:51I'm running Mac OSX 10.9.5I installed STM32CubeMX.app without problem and it runs fine.However, when trying to install STM32CubeProgrammer.app it hangs at step 6 of the install program. Hello , I am a student and want to understand the basic terminologies of the files being generated from the STM32CubeMX. Any document/Video to it will also be helpful.When I generate the code say for Nucleo-F401RE from the STM32CubeMX , I get these files in the project :stm32f4xx_hal.msp.c , stm32f4xx_hal_conf.h in the src and inc respectively.But if I see any CUBE MX project we have files like : stm32f4xx_nucleo.c , stm32f4xx_nucleo_bus.c and corresponding header file as wellapart from what we get in the STM32Cube code generation like hal_msp and conf header. Why cant we have these two files also get generated.I see that we have BSP_inits defined in the bus.c and then from that we call MX_<method> for any given peripheral ( i2c,uart) and this MX is what is generated inside the hal_msp.c.why to have files like nucleo and nucleo_bus when we can do with the hal_msp.c files?

Hi, I need to support 6 libraries for 3-5 MCUs each, and recently I have struggled to keep up.Many users complain about bugs I thought I squashed ages ago, only for me to realize that I never updated the code for that specific MCU.Is there a way to synchronize the projects?The code is nearly identical, only the #include for the header file in my .cpp file and the driver included in that header change.

I'm working on a STM32H753 (with EVAL2 eval board) on which I have connected an external QSPI Flash.Right now the CPU is @ 400MHz, the QSPI is configured in single IO (SPI) @ 12.5Mhz.I can erase, program and read the Flash in indirect mode, then read it in memory mapped mode (from my software). However when I try to read the Flash in memory mapped mode from the debugger I have some errors. They don't look random, there is a clear pattern (as you have guessed the flash is programmed with successive values from àx00 to 0xFF): Any idea ?
