STM32 MCUs Wireless

Background: I'd like to add a custom protocol stack on top of 802.15.4 MAC but place it all on CPU2 (M0) and let only the application reside in CPU1 (M4) - just like the pre-compiled binary with Zigbee. Is this possible?

Hi,I am currently using the P2P Server/Client example as a base for one of my projects. The server is constantly sleeping, waking up and reconnecting. After connecting the Services & Characteristics have to be rediscovered and notification re-enabled before data can be sent. This is taking a few seconds and is causing data to be lost. What steps can I take to reduce the time for the connection to reestablished?Thanks,Daniel

Hello,I want to implement a solution based on the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 where several boards will send data to a single concentrator board, which will deliver the information using USB.Peer-to-peer works fine, based on the ping pong example from the board project. But, when I add another board, everything stops working.Based on a internet research, it seems that I have to use LoraWAN protocol on a private network configuration. Is that correct?And, in this case, everywhere on internet indicates a big gateway, running a processor and with internet connectivity, which is not the case of my application.So, I would like to ask you some advice in how should I proceed to implement a solution to capture data from some (between 10 and 20, at most) B-L072Z-LRWAN1 boards using another B-L072Z-LRWAN1.Thank you very much.Best regards,Flavio

Hi,I use the DISCO-L072CZ-LRWAN1 with the current configuration:I2C1 ==> PB8 and PB9I2S ==> PB13, PB12 and PB15.And I want to use the other line I2C I2C2, but the I2C2_SCL is also on the PB13 (used by I2S).I tried to configure it with CubeMx:But, i did not found the PB10 on the Board?There are other pins for I2C2?Best regards.

When generating a new project (cubemx 5.5.0) that includes HID and BLE.I rebuilt the sample apps provided by STM for each of these features and they work OK. However I have no clue as to how to combine the two (most probably because I'm setting the clocks wrong).I'd appreciate any kind of assistance regarding Clock configuration (I'm transitioning from Arduino, so I'm somewhat overwhelmed by the complexity).Thank you!

Hi, I am looking for reference design for STM32WLE5J8/JB/JC LoRa SoC.I found reference for NUCLEO-WL55JC board but was not able to find it on ST micro website.I also want to check if its possible to design 2x wireless circuit (415MHz and 865MHz) using HF and LF pins on the SoC? I have downloaded TERA-TERM to my laptop but it sees nothing. Furthermore I can see no activity on any signal line (UART,SPI or I2C) to the SPBTLE-1S Bluetooth module. I presume SPBTLE-1S would be driven by the host MCU whether or not there is a receiver unless the protocol demands something like an RTS and a CTS.What is a simple way to check this board without an iPad?

I bought a B-L072Z-LRWAN1 with STM32L072C7 as the processor and a NEO 6M GPS module. I found a library on this site https://stm32f4-discovery.net/2014/08/library-27-gps-stm32f4-devices/ Is the TM STM32F4 GPIO Library compatible with my board?

I'm using a custom board with a STM32WB50CG part. When I send this:0x10 0xFC 0x52 0x00 (FUS_GET_STATE) or any command for that matter, I always get this back:0x11 0x0E 0x04 0xFF 0xFE 0x00 0xFE 0x00I've tried this while running the bootloader code as well as my own code.Anyone see the error in my command? I've mostly followed AN5185. But there's errors in that app note. For example Section 6.1 says FUS only uses the device information table and system table, yet the bootloader also fills in the async event table. Only after filling in that table do I see the event announcing CPU2 is up and running FUS.

I have Lora module with STM32L052C8T6 mcu. I like to send short massages every minute or two. I sent data with success alredy, but my device will be battery powered so I need very power efficient approach. Is there something similar like X-CUBE-BLE2 (which is for BlueNRG-2) for STM32WB with transparent mode firmware? We want to use STM32WB as a network coprocessor and control it with external STM32 MCU via UART. It's pretty clear what needs to be done on STM32WB side, but it's not very clear how to setup whole BLE functionality with external MCU. Thanks for any advice.Petr

HiIm working on custom template from STM32WB Workshop HandsOn_3 with template BLE server. I've tried to add more custom characteristics (notify with variable values) to my service. Ive modified the code to the moment that I see them on the Client BLE app on my phone but ony one characteristic send the desired value (the last one).Iva searched in the provided examples in STM32CubeWB but there is no example with 2 or more characteristics with notify/read property under one service.Is there any instruction how to do that?project in the attachment

Hey Guys,I have a problem with my STM32WB55CC. For the certification of my product I have to set the advertising channel to a fixed one (37, 38, 39). Hello! I am using stm32wb55 boards to exchange data. I added a new notification char in my server but client doesn't notice when I update the value of my new characteristic. But in ST BLE Sensor I can receive notifications from my new char, and also the client board only receive notifications from the standard notification char, that comes with the examples. How can I end up with this issue?

we are using ble in stm32wb series – Integrated balun design is there any reference schematic .the height of our application is 40feet can we use this ble with balun anteena or we will need an external antenna who we calculate the range and power ?

Hey Guys, Im new to ST and have the following Problem with the STM32WB55.I want to use the BLE function while the RTC is running in the background. The BLE should run for 10 seconds and shutdown after for 1 minute.When I go into the Standby Mode (Without BLE), i have a power consumption arround 800 nA, which is fine. When i'm doing this after I initialized the BLE with the "APPE_Init();", my power consumption is arround 0.6 mA, which is far to much. How can i fix this?Can i use the BLE without effecting the RTC? I saw that the BLE is using the RTC clock and also changes the prescaler.Thanks a lot!

Hi all,i bought the STM32WB55 Nucleo Pack and I tried different examples from the STM32WB55 Firmware Package. The BLE Datathroughput example worked fine for me, but the BLE Beacon won't work.I updated the FUS to the newest version.I flashed the newest version of the ble full firmware stack.I am using the STM32CubeIDE and opened the SW4STM32 folder and imported the Beacon Example project.I can compile it without Errors and can run it, but at the end i dont find any beacon.I tried with different eddystone beacons and with iBeacon.To find the beacon I am using a Galaxy S9 with Beacon Scanner App and the nRF Connect App.I don't know where the problem is and what i can do to make it work.Can anybody help me out?Thanks, Pat

I've looked at the reference design in the application note AN5615 page 13. This micro controller has integrated load capacitors for the high speed external oscillator. In the bottom right package, on the 32Mhz oscillator there is a symbol leading to ground. I do not understand what this specifies in wiring.Do the OSC_In and OSC_Out pins connect to the crystal and then connect to ground? My crystal package has 2 pads for ground as well. Is the diagram referring to these pads being connected to ground?I have attached some pictures of the schematics I am designing. I would greatly appreciate any help.AN5165:
