STM32 MCUs Wireless

Hello! I can not send more that 3 bytes from client to server using the write characteristic(aci_gatt_write_without_resp) in BLE_p2p_client_app.c . When I change CharValueLetgh to something higher then 3 my board cannot notify anymore. How can I solve this issue?

In my recent received P-Nucleo-MB1355C board, it has FUS version FUSv0.5.3, which need to upgraded with newer version available in STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.4.0. I am a newbie on Lora and recently I bought a P-Nucleo-LRWAN2 development kit to start my projects using Lora communication technology.As soon as I received the development boards I follow the instruction on the manual and I successfully connected the gateway and received the sensor data on the default cayenne application. I was using the TTN server. Those initial steps were very simple and clear.To make the things funnier, and as recommended, I downloaded the I-CUBE-LRWAN V1.3.1 package and followed the instructions on the read me file to upload to my sensor node the end node example on the I-CUBE-LRWAN V1.3.1 package. From this point on, my nightmares started.I followed the official documentation and I was expecting that this step to be smooth. I have connected a peripheral to STM32WB via I2C,.The functions HAL_I2C_Mem_Write() and I2C, HAL_I2C_Mem_Read() are designed for upto 16 bit register address. When I load the handson_2 everything works fine. However when i open a new project and initialize it as a p2p server application - And follow the steps in handson_2 training video, I can get my nucleo to advertise just fine - however I cannot connect it, am I missing some call somewhere? I cross checked mostly every .c and .h in handson_2 and in other projects from the git repository but i can't find the missing piece.

Hi there!I've used STM32's for years, and am a huge fan. I now want to broaden my experience into LoRa (I have experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even ST's SPSGRF range). I saw at the start of the year there was some news about ST's own chip which has LoRa integrated. I'm also familiar with Semtech's SX1276 which is the jellybean LoRa chip.I want to get some dev kits from ST, several to simulate a "nodes" that will be reading sensors (e.g. temperature) and sending this data to a "base station" or "master", via LoRa. With the ability to scale (i.e. multiple nodes, not point to point comms). As a result, I came here asking guidance about which dev kit would be the best to buy - as there seems to be a lot available, and in particular I would love one that had an easy to use API/example/getting started guide.There are a few available from ST:

Hi, I have been following the STM32WB workshop, however the material seems to not fit to the current FW anymore.I need to read a sensor that is connected via I2C and send the results via BLE.I can get the sensor readings and output them via UART but as soon as APPE_Init() is called, the output to UART does not work anymore. I assume it is a problem due to scheduling, however the schedule.h file referenced in the workshop videos seem to not exist anymore, so I am stuck here.Does anyone have a working current example of reading sensor values in parallel to running BLE services, or an updated info on how to use scheduling?

HiWe try to enter a dedicated function in out firmware if no BLE stack is installed. Now we have a discussion how this can be done based on the option bytes.Our previously used approach was to check the SBRV value and test it against some expected values if only FUS is installed. But what are the expected SBRV values if only a FUS is installed?In my case I read an SBRV value without installed stack of 0x3d000. This gives a flash address of 0xF4000. Is this the expected value? How is this value related to the FUS install address mentioned in the stack release notes? The install address for this FUS is stated as 0x080EC000.Is there a better approach to check if a wireless stack is installed?Regards Adrian

Unfortunately, when I get to workshop 4 (How to modify BLE profile), the version of STM32_WPAN in the version of STM32CubeMX and the STM32WB libraries used in the demo are very different from the current version.I am using the STM32WB Cube_FW V1.5.0 In STM32CubeMX version 5.6.0 and the STm32CubeIDE version 1.3.0. Hi! I flashed my USB dongle with BLE_p2p_client application that I edited on my own. But I can not send more than 3 bytes using aci_gatt_write_without_resp in function tBleStatus Write_Char in the file p2p_client_app.c . Even if I increase CharValLenght to something higher nothing changes, only 3 bytes are received by server. Can someone please suggest me what to do?

Hi,As we are at the very beginning level of project, and exploring different BLE network topology.1st i would give an overview of the system that we are planning to implement.We have BLE devices / sensors (Appox 100 nos) which are fitted in small compartment (e.g 4 ft * 4ft size), along with a gateway, which contains BLE and wifi. Each BLE sensor sends chunk of data to gateway and gateway will send data to cloud so that it can be monitor or control through remote device.Our focus is on data exchange between BLE sensor and Gateway. Has anyone been successful connecting the BlueNRG-2 SKD (IDB009V1) to either the BlueNRG ST-LINK UTLITIY or IAR 8.40? Both utilizes "CAN'T DETECT". The only tool that seems to detect the SDK is the cumbersome Flash Programmer.

If the spreading factor is set to 9, messages get through. As I increase it to 10 or 11, I start to get the OnTxTimeout error. My frequency is set to 904600000 and my bandwidth is set to 2.

Hi, I have followed the AN5247 to implement OTA flow and wondering if it is possible to put different user APP in two flash address and OTA APP could decide to boot from which one. I have tried to flash P2P server_ota in 0x08007000 and HartRate_ota in 0x0802C000(also updated linker info) and update "CFG_APP_START_SECTOR_INDEX" in BLE_Ota as 0x2C to boot from the second APP. Although the HartRate function works, Cube programmer can't even connect to nucleo. It seems something strange. Also because the 2 APPs may be put at one of assigned flash address(07 or 2C), how to handle the linker setting while compile the FW?
