STM32 MCUs Wireless

How can I add multpile services or characteristics on STM32WB. Should I only change the name or templates and regenerate code or do something more/else?

Hello everyone, I am a newbie for stm32. Now I have a project to useSTM32+Lora module to make a wireless network for data sampling. I have boughttwo pairs of stm32L073 nucleo+ sx1272 radio shield board for testing. I canmake "ping-pong" communication between the two boards. But how can Imigrant the code to my project. I have a individual ADC to sample the data. Myoriginal code is simply a loop structure and I see the I-CUBE-LRWAN has astate-machine or a embedded system to realize the function. How can I put mycode into I-CUBE-LRWAN. Thanks.Another question is that whetherthe "End-node" code for the Lorawan which made of a gateway andseveral sx1272 end-nodes? How can I choose the gateway? It is right to get aSX1301+respberry Pi? Is there any tutorial or article can tell me how toconfigure the network and how to program to make communcate between the nodesand the gateway. Hi,In previous project, I used the ST BLE 4.1 solution (based on BlueNRG-MS), and the peripheral Advertising procedure also included a call to hci_le_set_scan_resp_data(18 , ServiceUUID_Scan);What is the alternative for a similar API in ST BLE 5 solution based on STM32WB platform?P.S I couldn't find it in AN5270Thanks In Advance,Micha

I have a custom STM32WB55CE-based board on which I wish to run some BLE software. I have attempted to flash them according to the instructions in the release notes in the coprocessor binary folder, but it throws an "RSS_IMAGE_NOT_FOUND" error and retries twice before giving up. Since the CE has 512KB of flash, I use the addresses given for that size. Since the BLE stack address is outside of the actual range of the 512 KB flash, I have also tried to flash it at an appropriate address by calculating the offset from the 1MB flash FUS address and applying it to the 512 KB address. This doesn't really change anything. The stack I'm trying to flash is the "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_fw.bin".Reading the FUS version gives 0x01000200 which is correct for the binary I have tried to install, but as it doesn't actually work I'm assuming that something is wrong. My understanding is that the FUS should be flashed at the absolute end of the flash (address end of flash - size of FUS)

Hi !I want to update FUS by OTA.In AN5185, #3.1 FUS Upgrade/Operation instructions is writed:"Write the FUS image in the user Flash memory at the address indicated in the FUS image directory readme.txt file." But this address is 0x080EC000, and it is in an inaccessible place for user. Question: what is a right address where to write FUS image for upgrade ?Or can it be subtracted from the value of SFSA the number of pages of firmware fus (0xCC - 0x6)  ?

Hi all,I've got my hands on the STM32WB55 Nucleo pack. I've been trying to test the pre-loaded application first but i wasn't able to make the board and the dongle communicate. So I tried loading an other example project on the board and then I lost the LCD display, it is not showing anything anymore, even after loading the default .hex. How can I fix that ?After this, i wanted to mke sure that I would be able to flash the RF stack in case of a problem so I followed the steps of the Release notes to flash the Wireless Coprocessor Binary, making sure that I got every step right and that I was writing to the right addresses (0x080ec000 for fus and 0x080c

I feel uncomfortable with this: on page 26 AN5165 there are shown layers purposes. In particular, written, that INNER1 used as "grounding under the RF zones", but on images below (Figure 33) under RF this layer is deleted and as reference used another layer INNER2 (Figure 34). To check this I've downloaded Altium-project P-NUCLEO-WB55 and there actually INNER2 was as reference. Furthermore I find discrepancy of layers in Figure 24 and layer stack in projects. I've made some calculations: actually sizes of conductors and gaps correspond to the stack in the project, the p-NUCLEO-WB55 Board is executed correctly.

In Application note AN5165 exist example of 2-layer PCB (MB1427). What the project it is? I can't find it on STMicroelectronics website.

My graduation project is about design a lora node and communicate with user using with lora gateway. I will take antenna sx1276 gps and stm32l0 or stm32wb.

Hello,I have STM32WB set from workshops that I borrowed from my work.The problem is both pcbs are not recognised in DFU mode. I connected stm32f4-discovery and it's recognised correctly.I'm Linux Mint 19 user and I have followed CubeProgrammer's installation manual. I did the same on Windows 10 with the same effect.On nucleo board I connected pins 5-7 and USB MCU SOURCE.On dongle board I set switch position to BOOT.What is the problem? It's look like both of pcbs don't have bootloaders. Do I need to buy a new stm32wb development kit or can I program a new bootloader file?Can I flash the Wireless Coprocessor Binary without DFU? HiI tried using the P2P_SERVER profile of the STM32WB55XX example (with atollic).When pushing on CONNECT on my mobile, I expect seeing the LED and BUTTON services as written in the example documents, but I see the 2 PRIMARY SERVICES (Generic Attribute and Generic Access as can be seen in the attached file) only, should I modify the code to make it work ?Thanks

Hi, I am having issues reinitialising the BLE stack after waking up from sleep. I am initialising it the exact same was as normal power on. Upon waking up and calling the TL_Enable() function, a shci_notify_asynch_evt it not being received. Is there any examples on how to reinitialise after standby mode?Thanks,Daniel

I am unable to successfully put the STM32WB55 into Shutdown mode and then wakeup via either one of the WKUP pins or the RTC. I can get the WKUP pins to work if I use HAL_PWRex_DisableInternalWakeupLine, but then it won't wakeup via the RTC. If I omit DisableInternalWakeupLine, the MCU will not enter Shutdown mode at all.

Hello! PCB Antenna for STM32WB shown in AN5129 Application note where used pcb stack-up with core 711.2 μm. Exactly the same antenna used in P-NUCLEO-WB55 (MB1355) where pcb thickness is ~1500 μm. How is it possible? How changes antenna parameters when thickness substrate is increased?In AN5129 written: "The electrical parameters and performance of the PCB antenna are also determined by the substrate used, inparticular the thickness of the core and dielectric constants." But in AN5165 recommends to use this solution for different stack-up. How is it possible?

Hello,I'm developing an application based on B-L072Z_LRWAN1 hardware.If i Program my code on the evaluation board everyting works good. I can send and receive packets with LoRa.If I program it on my custom hardware (based on the evaluation board) everything works BUT the LoRa transmission.I cant receive anything and the Tx function timeout ALWAYS expires. Is there some activation procedure that has to be done to make the LoRa module work? Thank You so much.Andrea

Now we are facing BLE advertising problem.Is the problem with impedance or any other. I'm using a WB55 Nucleo board and setting up a BLE connection with a 2nd WB55 Nucleo board using aci_gap_create_connection(). The connection succeeds and I am able to transfer data between the 2 boards. I would then like to terminate the connection. I call aci_gap_terminate_gap_proc(0x40) to do this, but I always get a return value of 0x46, which corresponds to BLE_STATUS_NOT_ALLOWED. Any ideas why the call to aci_gap_terminate_gap_proc() fails? Or is there a different recommended way to terminate the BLE connection? Thanks...
