STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Hi,I created a project in STM32CubeMX 6.17.0 targeting the NUCLEO-G491RE and successfully generated the code. I then imported the project into STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1 and as far as I can tell it looks ok. The only apparent issue was that when I clicked on the .ioc file I thought that the STM32CubeMX project was supposed to open inside STM32CubeIDE but instead I get an error saying:So that's one issue. But when I come to build the project in STM32CubeIDE there is no Build All (CMD+B) option available, or indeed any other build options available.

I got this error also.

I tried compiling the generated code of the MCSDKand compiling it by C++ compiler, but the error at the revup_ctrl.h file:   pHandle->pCurrentPhaseParams = MC_NULL;prevent such compilation.Will it be fixed soon ?

This software has started reporting memory issues and wanting to close every few minutes.  This never used to happen until I updated to 2.0.0 and I wrote a bunch of code in a fairly large project this week.  I have tried all the suggestions that I could, ending in updating to 2.1.1 and it doesn't go away.I tried updating the memory usage to 6GB of RAM (in steps) in the file stm32cubeide.ini  (-Xms and -Xmx).  I deleted a bunch of folders in the /Users/xxxxx/ directory that started with .stm which worked for another person on this forum.I can't do my work anymore.  This software has become unusable!  I really don't know what to do to get it back to the way it has worked for the past decade.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  If I need to contact IT about something they might have installed on this computer that is breaking this program, I could use some direction as to what that might be. Thanks!

Hi,Having just updated to STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1, I've created an STM32CubeIDE Empty Project (the only apparent relevant option) targeting the STM32F072 Discovery Kit as I want to experiment with the touch sensing capabilities, however when the project is created I don't see an IOC file. Has the workflow reverted to using STM32CubeMX to create the IOC file etc. please?Kind regards,Al

So I have the STM32 CUBE suite - and I remember there is a means to select example projects to start from.HOWEVER - I cannot find that any more :(Mr Google tells me to do this:Start STM32-CUBE, select FILE->NEW->OTHER->Create New STM32 ProjectThis does not provide me with ready made examples to choose from. These are very stripped down, not even hello world, just a main() with a endless for(;;) loop. With the default oscillator/clock.I'm sure you have seen the BOARD selector, you select the chip, the board and you can pick examplesThat is what I am looking for.  Where is that?  

Hi,using STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1 and STM32CubeMX 6.17, I'm a little confused on how to import an existing ioc-file created by CubeMX into an existing project in CubeIDE. And to later modify it.Confusion is drawn from this tutorial: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/stm32cubeide-2-0-0-workflow-tutorial/ta-p/864831 At the end, it is somehow saying to use the import function of CubeIDE for an ioc-File which is located (physically) on a different location than the project itself (ioc-file in §2.3 tutorial c:/users/ST/Documents while project is in workspace 2.0.0, from which I assume it is stored in a different folder).Then, later on in §2.5, MCU gets some modification (added I2C in the example) and code is newly generated (in c:/users/ST/Documents and CubeIDE requires a refresh (F5) to capture the updated MC

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a frustrating issue while debugging an STM32H755 using STM32CubeIDE v2.0.0.When I launch a Launch Group (or start the debug sessions sequentially), the start point (Entry Point) in main often points to the exact same memory address for both the Cortex-M4 and Cortex-M7 cores (e.g., 0x81013be). This overlap obviously prevents a proper debug session.This behavior seems random. This error pops up everytime I try creating a new STM32 project when downloading the selected files during the first stages of creating a project. My internet connection is fine and this wasn't an issue some weeks back with the last project I created. Any assistance on this issue from anyone will be very helpful because I'm a quite a newbie to CubeIDE. Thanks.

Hello.I installed a new version of the IDE, exactly this:st-stm32cubeide_2.1.1_28236_20260312_0043_x86_64The problem is that the menu option "Manage embedded packages" is missing:I checked this on two computers with Windows 10.During the installation, there were no error messages.What can be done about this? 

As in attached image, the build hammer icon is greyed out after importing project made in STM32CubeMX version -- 6.17.0 to CubeIDE version -- 2.1.1.I have selected tool chain as STM32CubeIDE in the Project Manager in CubeMX and after generating the code, i tried by opening the project from CubeMX as well as importing project to CubeIDE.MCU : STM32G474 series. Thanks for the help in advance.

I have a STM32H730 Project, using CubeIDE V1.17.0. Code executing from the internal Flash.I have located some functions into ITCM,added a new .itcram section to the linker LD fileadded __attribute__((section(".itcram"))) to my functions I want in ITCMat startup I copy from FLASH to ITCM This builds and runs okay, the functions in ITCM execute as expected.But, I can't Debug Step into any function located in ITCM, it just steps over the function.I can set a breakpoint in a ITCM function, but it never halts there, just ignores the breakpoint. How can I step into functions located in ITCM?Do I need to tell GDB that I have instruction code in ITCM? Thanks.

Hi, I changed the location of the main.c file in my disk then reimported it in the project explorer as a linked file under the same path (under core/src). When I modify the .ioc file, save it and regerated the code, the changes of the peripheral configuration are not reflected in the linked main.c file. I opended the project directory (on disk) to investigate and saw that a new main.c is generated and the changes are reflected there. What is the solution that makes the generated code from the .ioc be integrated in the linked main.c and not generated a new main.c? 

i created a project with the MCSDK for controlling my 3-phase motor,i used it to create a new project with the ioc file with the cubemx, but got many compilation errors, i manage to solve lots of them but got 1 error i cant solve:error: #error "Please select first the target STM32G0xx device used in your application (in stm32g0xx.h file)"133 | #error "Please select first the target STM32G0xx device used in your application (in stm32g0xx.h file)" but the macro STM32G031xx is defined on my PREPROCESSOR definitations. There are lots of issues with the last third-part parties software lately (MCSDK and GFX as well), the projects are lucking some folders, like the include folder in which the main.h exist or the h files of the drivers and are not part of the project when doing searches
