STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Hi,as now CubeIDE is released, will the development of new features for Truestudio end? Should we use CubeIDE for new projects now, or can we continue using Truestudio and still get new features and bugfixes?Thanks!

I tried to import an Atollic project into STMcubeIDE (which so far doesn't work at all).The import appears to succeed, but the ARM toolchain is not set up correctly and shows "orphaned configuration/toolchain":Has anyone been able to get this to work?Thanks for any tips!Best Regards, Dave

Hi there,sometimes i do not want to debug. I just want to transfer my project on the STM32. But like most other eclipse solutions the STM32Studio doesn't seem to have this feature Strg+F7?Is it there? Where can i find it? if not, will it come?I know the workaround with post command quit, but that is not stisfying!

I had to create some register variables and inline assembler to enforce use of the M7's SMLAL instruction and now keep getting the warning several times per compile :warning: optimization may eliminate reads and/or writes to register variables [-Wvolatile-register-var]Is it possible to mute just this particular warning ? I went to the Files->Properties->Warnings page and there are various tickboxes but I can't see a way to mute a particular warning.

What's the difference between Live Expressions and SWV Data Trace? Are they both realtime?Do both of them put a load on MCU processor?Can I use Live Expressions with MCUs which do not provide SWO pin like CortexM0?

I'm using STM32CubeIDE v1.0.0 with CubeMX v5.2.0 under Windows 10 x64.There are two bugs i discovered. Please assist, thank youBug #1. I've posted a couple of possible bugs and so have lots of other people and I've yet to see a single response to any question by an STM employee. The video makes it seem like the next best thing, and the IDE you'll be supporting preferentially, but this cannot be further from the truth at the moment.

I have optimisation set to -o2 and every other Property and Preference is default. Processor is a H750. My code has a time critical inner loop which seems to vary from 14 up to 26 instructions for the same code, varying solely on the time of day when it was compiled. Is there something random in the way the compiler begins its optimisation and if so is this something I can turn off ?

Hi,I am always working together with collegues on the same code using GIT as a version management. Now with CubeIDE, if a collegue creates a project, all the repositories are placed inC:/Users/USERNAME/STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_L0_V1.11.2/If now I synchronise with his project using GIT, I can not compile the code because the USERNAME in the path is not correct on my computer.Using CubeMX and Atollic Truestudio, we could avoid this problem by placing the repos under another user-independent folder likeC:/STM32/Repositories/STM32Cube_FW_L0_V1.11.2But this option in cubeMX is not available anymore in CubeIDE (this path in the project manager is greyed out and not changable)How are we supposed to gracefully work together using CubeIDE? this seems to me like a neccessary basic functionality for professional usage of the IDE.Thank you

Has the STMCubeIDE a RTOS-aware debugger like Attolic has?

I built a tiny project from scratch with LwIP (without FreeRTOS).CubeMX generates a project without any errors which I can compile and run.But when I modify my source code in main.c every compile stops with:../Inc/lwip.h:28:10: fatal error: lwip/opt.h: No such file or directoryIn Tool Settings->MCU GCC Compiler->Includes are no entries in the list.I added at least:../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/include../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/system../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/include/lwip../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/include/lwip/apps../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/include/lwip/priv../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/include/lwip/protSame problem.But when I make a change in CubeMX, save it and new code is generatedthe project can be compiled.How can I fix this to be able to compile a project with LwIP in STMCubeIDE ?Thank you.

Hi everyone. I run STM32CubeIDE on Windows 10, and when I try to save STM32Cube project in the Device Configuration Tool with code generation after saving ("Do code generation on *.ioc file save" is checked), code generation fails (see screenshot). But when I press "Generate code" button at the toolbar or press Alt+K, code generation is OK.It seems to be not critical, but a little annoying bug.

Hello,after importing my True Studio projects to the Cube IDE, I can not build my projects anymore. I think this is because the Runtime Library newlib-nano is set as standard.However, I have not found a way to change this to the newlib standard.Does anyone know a possibility to change this in the STM32CubeIDE?Thank you

Hi, I'm trying to use STM32CubeIDE to modify an existing project developed using CubeMX and system workbench. Can't create new project, popup window 'Initializing TSM32 Target Selector..." opens and then second popup for "Download selected Files" opens and starts checking for Updated Files and there is no further progress even after long time.If I close first popup, Cube screen appears but is irresponsive, probably because of second popup that keeps checking for Updated files but nothing happens anymore ?

I have been developing using TS 9.2.0 and thought I would try stm32cubeIDE. 1.0.0I did a git pull of my project source into a directory and ran the importer. I left the workspace as default and specified the folder location for my project source. The import worked and I can see and open all the files in project explorer.The problem is I cannot build the project. The Build All menu item is grayed out. All the files that are in my workspace for for TS 9.2.0 are present and correct. There is no debug configuration setup and project->Build Configuration->Manage is grayed out.Any ideas ?

I got this error several time. (for stm32f4 discovery board). is there any solution? if no, how can i load manually this file? where can i download? due to this error, I haven't used ide yet.

I wrote a litte cubeide program for testing on my nucleo f103 board.Ide says:Error in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: (4) No device found on target.Same thing was working in attollic ide without problem.br joachim
