STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

A couple of weeks ago STM32Cube disappeared off my computer. I went a got the install file for the most recent version (2.1.1). Since I have installed this when I try to import an old project into the workspace or use MX to generate code when trying to configure the pin outs to start a new project it keep trying to import lots of additional projects giving prompts that the project is old, it will be removed the new version will be installed. It then tries to import the STM32072B_EVAL project and hangs up.All the projects I'm trying to work with at the moment are based on the NUCLEO-F413 board.These are the imported projects

Hi all, I've developed an external loader for STM32H563ZIT6 nucleo board for W25Q128JV external memory. I've followed the ST guide on how to implement it and it's currently working on cube programmer:verified mass erase, download of a .hex file, verify through data read and everything is ok. When I load the external loader into the debugger section of my main program, flagging initialize and enable flags, the debugger gives me errors; attached the .txt file with the console log. I've added a gpio pin on the init() function of the loader to check if the init starts when loading through debugger, but the led have never tourned on.  Can someone please give me a hand to solve this problem? Thanks 

Has anyone had success installing the Cube IDE on a Raspberry Pi 5?  I first got the error message "Installation dir cannot be temporary one: /home/my_name/Downloads/makeself_dir_o70WRx"I tried various workarounds suggested by Gemini, ultimately creating new directory/opt/stm32_installermoving the unzipped file to this new directory and then trying .../opt/stm32_installer$ sudo ./file_name.shIt went right ahead and created a new temporary folder in opt/stm32_installer and failed in the same way again!If anyone has succeeded in getting the Cube IDE to work on a R Pi 5, please let me know how you did it.Thanks for reading this far.

STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1 login error, although Check Connection shows "green" in the "Firmware Updater". Because of the Login error I cannot Install "STM32CubeU0 Firmware Package V1.0.0 / 12-February-2024". I have seen in the Forum, that this kind of error has been around for a while, and even with this (for the time being) latest version of STM32CubeIDE. If some of you fellows have working ideas, please let me know!

In STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1, Project Explorer keeps collapsing constantly.This has been a persistent bug for a very long time and is very annoying.Can't ST just fix this since it is based on Eclipse?

Hello everyone, I recently encountered a strange BUG.I use DMA to transfer ADC data. Previously, this program was configured this way without any problem, but it suddenly doesn't work these two days. What's even stranger is that I used STlink in the IT file to HAL_DMA_IRQHandler(&hdma_adc1); Break point. The value can be read out during debugging, but the serial port still doesn't work.The development environment is CubeIDE1.18.1

ProblemInstalled version 1.17 of the stmcube ide. Need the .ioc code generation feature to work. The most convenient way to do this is to login so the ide can download firmware. I have tried to login. Login failed multiple timesTried1. Turn off firewall2. Run STMCube IDE as adminstrator3. Run installer as administrator4. Use mobile hotspot5. Installing newer and older versions of STM6. Installing the program on a different PCNone of the above options worked  

I am using STM32CubeIDE for a project using custom hardware with a STM32G0B1CBT6.I recently hit a bug where my code was doing a 32-bit write to an address that wasn't on a 32-bit boundary (off by 2 bytes) and a Hard Fault was generated.I've corrected the code to avoid this, but this same code worked OK on an earlier project - which used Keil uVision and a STM32F103C8T6.I've seen references to compiler options to control this behavior, but I've not found them in CubeIDE or Keil.  Am I wrong here?  Or can someone point me to where those options might be?  Or is this some kind of difference between these two chips?Also: I'm on the fence about whether this is a good feature or not.  On the one hand, avoiding unaligned memory  seems fairly easy.  On the other hand, Hard Faults really cause havoc in my world.

Not the issue of debug probe, just change 'Reset behaviour' to 'None' could solve this.

I work in a workspace but I use vim with clangd for editing my code. I am wondering if it is possible to create a compile_commands.json file and if so how. If the IDE uses cmake under the hood then it should be rather straightforward but I cannot understand how to proceed. see e.g. this:https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/variable/CMAKE_EXPORT_COMPILE_COMMANDS.html 

I've successfully set up a docker container building my project using the headless script. I've also successfully generated a Windows version of the compile_commands.json using the setting inside the properties menu. But I need a version of this that's from the linux build, because I want to lint inside the docker container for continuous integration. I've looked at what gets changed inside the .settings folder when that setting is changed in the normal non headless IDE ("generateCDB=true"), and I've tried simply building the code with that folder and the files in it in the same place in linux, but compile_commands.json is not generated.

I am looking for a way to use a different editor for a STM32CubeIDE project. For the editor to show correct errors and provide code-completion, I would need a compile_commands.json file, which the clangd language server can use.I found this post which describes how to generate this file using an external program called compiledb. Using STM32CubeIDE on macos (with STM32H7431VITx, FWIW), the Debug Console has a pretty poor interface, where there's no readline support and even basic things like "arrow up" to recall the latest  command doesn't work, rather it moves the cursor up in the text. Gdb's output is black, the text I type is green and when executing a command, it gets echoed in red to the console. A while back I ran the same version on macos and Linux; on Linux on it was providing a full terminal with readline support, as you'd expect, but on macos it was like this and it hasn't improved in the intervening years. I have created a project for the STM32WL33 several weeks ago, using the DEEPSTOP mode with context restoration provided by ST. Even if there are some pitfalls with this the project worked mostly fine. Hello,I was working with STM32CubeIDE version 1.8.0 on a project. I just download version 1.9.0, trying to import the project.In the importation Wizard, when selecting the correct directory, the project name is displayed, but when clicking "Finish", the importation window close, and nothing append.Is this a known issue? Good morning everyone,i am having a problem after i copied the example from the example project folder to another location.i am using STM32CubeIDE 1.5.0. i opened this project C:\Users\Admin11\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.16.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\BLE_LLD\BLE_LLD_Chat\STM32CubeIDE i build it, ran it, without any issue. the board worked correctly as it should. However, when i copied the said folder "STM32CubeIDE" to my desktop to make some changes according to my requirements, i opened a new instance of IDE, chose a different workspace, chose the project on my desktop C:\Users\Admin11\Desktop\NewFolder\STM32CubeIDEclicked build, i got this error
