STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

I am unable to debug a simple blinky program created using the CubeMX software. The board I am using is a Nucleo F103RB board. Hello,I used the following "Target Software Startup Script" in the debug configuration in Atollic TrueStudio (this is necessary since we're using a bootloader and our application binary which I would like to debug is not placed at the beginning of the STM32 flash):How to enter this in STM32CubeIDE?I would really need to debug my firmware, but can't figure out how to do the required settings...Any ideas?Kind regards,Markus

Hello everyone! I'm new in stm32 and I should program an stm32f100 using the STM32Cube IDE. My board should drive an lcd (st7565r controller via 4 wire SPI) and 4 push button, and communicate on a Modbus line as master. Actually my code on Arduino run well but in my final project I must use the stm32f100 board and I already have the STM32Cube IDE project already set from the engineer who designed the board with only some test functions (e.g. switch on/off the lcd, write on reply with a message on rs485 if there is a char incoming, etc)Now my questions are:How can I port the libraries (written in c and cpp files and .h of course) that I'm using on Arduino. Is this procedure easy or the best way is to find libraries for my new target board and modify the main file?How would you deal with this situation? I use STMCubeID V1.0.0I realised that there is a difference of the names in the vector table for the can irqhandlers.If I choose STM32Cube as target, I get a startup_stm32f373vctx.s file with the names:CAN_RX0_IRQHandlerCAN_RX1_IRQHandlerIf I choose Empty as target, I get this names:CAN_RXD_IRQHandlerCAN_RXI_IRQHandlerWhy is this difference and for waht do the letters "0"/"1" and "D"/"I" stand for?

I'm creating a static library project that is portable across many mcu because it is target indipendent code. The problem is that once I created the project, it seems impossible to change che mcu setting inside Project Properties > C/C++ Build > Settings > Tool Settings panel, as shown below:The box is grey and the compilation flag -mcpu is fixed and cannot be changed.I wanted to make different build configurations with different target devices.Is there a way to do that?Thank you for your time.

In the new project setup, the default minimum heap and minimum stack size are set to 0x200 and 0x400, but despite being in black they seem to be non-editable. For a large processor these numbers are far too small, especially the stack.And yes I know I can edit the Linker file, as I have done, but really this parameter should be editable on the generation screen, and the default processor range specific. I would suggest stack of at least 0x1000 for a H7 or F7.

I also have the STLink-V3 which I can't use with the STLink GDB in SWD mode because the only speed available is 24000KHz and fails downloading code. Using the probe with OpenOCD leaves me with no SVW support. In STM32CubeProgrammer the SWD speed is selectable???Good to have Segger support.When are this STM32 tools fully supported?

I need to disable Cortex CCR.UNALIGN_TRP bit, but I can't find the proper place in the CubeIDE generated code where this kind of init code should be inserted. Does anyone out there have a clue?

I am new ti STM32CubeIDEI am trying to use the visual clock configuration tool.What I can't figure out is how do I select HSE in the PLL Source Mux? It seems to be disabled in the tool.

Hi everyone, i have a clear internet connection and i can browse all websites properly. But my STM32CubeIDE can not connect internet in order to download firmwares necessary to create project. How can i solve this issue.Thanks.

Installing the latest STM32CubeIDE on mac is problematic.I am running MacOS 10.14.5 (Mojave)The install for ST-LINK Server fails with an error about it being incompatible and harmful.If I selected "New STM32 Project" then the following dialog appears, and just sits there indefinitely. You cannot click on OK or CANCEL and nothing works from now on.

I followed the documentation for a project created in System Workbench win64bit-v2.4 and I do not get the popup window after selecting finish button on the importing step. Note the import source is a copy of the original OpenSTM32 System Workbench project folder that I was told to paste into the STMCubeIDE workspace folder in the instructional migration PDF. Instead it opens the new STMCubeIDE environment with no project loaded and does not present me with any popup windows called out in the migration document

I built my first board with a STM32F030CC mcu. I downloaded STM32CubeIDE and created a new project. I set PA8 as a GPIO output port.All I want to achive is to enable/disable the LED connected to the PA8 port .My problem is, that HAL_Delay does not work since HAL_GetTick seems not to increase.I suspect, that the interrupt is not called.Do I need do configure something special to enable Sysclock for HAL_GetTick?Or should it just work after creating a new project?

Hi,I am trying to port over the following startup commands from Atollic, but I realized when I place them in the initialization commands, the comment lines throw an error of Undefined Command. I've started using STM32CubeIDE, hoping it would be , at least, a user friendly alternative to Keil or IAR.First surprise is that there is no ready-to-use STM32CubeIDE project in STM32CubeH7. So I imported an existing SW4STM32 project to CubeIDE. The import project is confusing and painful and not similar as it is described in the user manual "importing project from AC6" but anyway it worked. The problem I have now is that the imported project has a generic name "STM32H743ZI-Nucleo". And if I rename it, the build process fails ... (C files not found anymore). So it's not possible to import 2 different projects in the same eclipse workspace...Maybe someone has a solution for this ?

If I leave it alone for at least a few hours it seems to decide to close itself. I haven't worked out that it's any sensible time so possibly a memory leak ?

I've imported to STM32CubeIDE one of the SPI examples for Nucleo-H743ZI. SInce I saw weird behaviours related to LEDs, I investigated and found out that a compilaton option USE_STM32H7XX_NUCLEO_144_MB1364 is defined in the imported project that seems to be wrong (at least the LED mapping to GPIOs is wrong).Anything I could have missed ? I also didn't find how to disable properly this macro. I can see it in Project Settings > Preprocessors Include Paths > Settings Entries > CDT Managed Build *** but it's not possible to edit it.

Hey there,it's no big deal, but rather annoying. If I select one UART to be Half-Duplex the RX pin disappears from the pinout even if I select receive only. It doen't matter if I select RX only or TX only, the RX-pin won't show up again. The generated code also initializes only the TX pin. Boooo.I'm using STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.0.0Build: 2872_20190423-2022 (UTC)
