STM32 MCUs

Hello,I am trying to update some code to use UART with DMA for receiving instead of the polling method.I want the implementation to work for messages of unknown length so I use the HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA function.I know that the maximum message length i can receive is MAX_LEN (=1024) so I call HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(&huart2, my_buffer, MAX_LEN)The problem I noticed is that sometimes when I get in the HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, uint16_t Size) , the value of "Size" is equal to 1 even though I send 5 bytes in the UART. Dear,Setup:We using a STM32H7B0 100pins.We use 1 ADC input at 1M samplesConfigured as 16bit, differential input, with an offset of 32768.We use a Vref of 2.5V.The other side of the differential input is 1/2 of Vref (buffered with a opamp)To sample the data of the ADC we use a DMA circulaire mode to internal memory.When we measure our signal we seen many spikes on the samples.With the scope is the input signal very clean.Also we use a opamp to buffering the analog signal before it get tot the ADC input.The opamps we used are LTC6256We cannot understand why we seen all these spikes.What are we doing wrong here or is there an explanation for this phenomenon?

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem with overwriting OTP memory both from a user application and from the stm32 programmer.I write data to the OTP cell, close the memory using standard hal functions, turn off the power of the debug board, turn on the power, go to the stm programmer and see correctly written data.After that, I try to change one of the memory cells and the cube programmer gives me an error (which is correct, since this memory cell has already been written once). I close the error windows and read the memory, after that I see that the memory is CHANGED, but to a random number. This is repeated only once, that is, the cell can be written twice both from the PROGRAMMER and from the application.I tried to write the same data but to the addresses 0x08FF F000, 0x08FF F040, 0x08FF F080, and all the time the secondary cell write was triggered (the bottom picture).I also encountered a problem with calling NMI_Handler and HardFault_Handler when tryin

[VERSION]: MCWB v6.3.2[TOOL]: STM32CubeMX v6.13.0, STM32CubeIDE v1.11.5[BOARD]: STEVAL-PTOOL1V1[PROJECT]: STEVAL-PTOOL1V1_6S_SLI have the code generated by MotorControl Workbench compiling in STM32CubeIDE and it programs and runs the motor.  I managed to get the motor running at the speed I want, but I've been having a hard time making some adjustments to the parameters which are distributed through various folders and files.  In particular, I want to change the initial acceleration rate after boot up.  How/where is this controlled?Thanks

Hello Guys, I have a STM32H743IIT6 on a CustomBoard, my Clock is a Quarzoscillator with 25mhz. I have a SDRAM from Winbond with 32 MiB on Bank1, my debug port is USART2, with sdcard for linux later. I checked out the last release of u-boot from https://github.com/u-boot/u-boot i tried a lot of days to run the bootloader, with minimal configuration. u-boot has the boards STM32H743-DISCO and STM32H743-EVAL, i tried both with "half" success... I copied the config form the STM32H743, with C Files, Header and DTS File to my own board, and for the beginning i tried with the internal SRAM from the controller. I changed the HSE Clock to bypass and changed my uart2 pins. while booting, i become a HardFault. With google, i found out, R0: 23F36FC0 is out of my DRAM. What do i wrong? U-Boot 2025.07-rc1-00075

Need some clarification on implementing the DFU functionality on STM32L412KBU3.According to the note in AN2606 (page 350), it states: "VDDUSB IO must be connected to 3.3 V" however, on the STM32L412KBU3 (UFQFPN32) the VDDUSB pin does not exist.Currently, VDD is powered by +1V8 on my application of the STM32L412KBU3.Will I have any issues with DFU moving forward?

Hi all,Coming from Nordic nRF52840, I have a project that uses a Joystick.I bought two Nucleo boards, the P-NUCLEO-WB55 and the NUCLEO-WL55JC1 to test Radio communications.My Joystick of course uses 2 channels (X and Y), uses 2 GND pins, but also uses 2 pins for 3.3V (VDD). Now after checking the official Nucleo manuals, I can find only one 3.3V  VDD pin.Is that right? Those development boards offer only one 3.3V pin?If yes, what are my options?Power the joystick with that unique 3.3V VDD pin? Just like it's done on most small boards (like the blue pin)?

Hello everyone, please advise, I encountered difficulties when removing and installing memory read protection when programming h503 via the built-in UART bootloader.I use commands {0x92, 0x6D} to remove read protection and {0x82, 0x7D} to install read protection. On F103 these functions work correctly, on h503 they do not.At the same time, on 503, memory erase, ID reading and programming operations work correctly, the h503 microcontroller is flashed and after rebooting the new program takes effect.Perhaps I am sending incorrect read protection codes? Or is my mistake in something else?

Dear,We are using the ADC2 in 16-bit resolution at 100 kHz, operating in differential mode.The internal voltage reference (Vref) is set to 2.5 V.A 1 kHz sine wave with a peak-to-peak voltage of 2.5 V (ranging from 0 V to 2.5 V) is applied to the ADC inputs.Based on this setup, we expect the ADC output to vary between 0 and 65,535 after conversion.However, our actual measurements show values ranging approximately from 16,787 to 50,000.This suggests we are missing about 16384 counts on the lower and upper end.When we rescale the measured values to the full 0–65,535 range, it appears as though the ADC is working with a 3.3 V range instead of 2.5 V.Is this expected behaviour, or is there something we might be doing wrong?See attached files for the configuration.

I'm working on my cpp scaffold for stm32, so I read the startup file generated by STM32CubeMX.And I noticed that the startup file contains a definition called BootRAM, but there is no documentation on it.It also seems not being used anywhere else on a regular project, so what on earth it is?Should I consider it when I write my own startup file?P.S. Hi, I have problem with my SPI peripheral. For generate inicial code I used STM32 Cube IDE Version 6.14.1, and programming IDE STM32 Cube IDE Version 1.18.1.Description of problem:1.I want simple to check loop with transmit and receive data, but when I do that I always have 0 or 255 in receive register. I tried the same thing with UART, and it works.2.On SCK I don't have clock, I try with oscilloscope to see but nothing. In attachment I leave full project and video, please can someone check and say me some advice.  

Hi, with STM32F030C8T6, I am implemeting MODBUS protocol in RTU (Slave) with UART as physicsl layer. I use QModMaster (A master simulation software run in PC). I use oscilloscope to probe the actual information through the RS485.Recently I inplemented different baudrate and parity settings. While testing, I observed that data sent from master (QModMaster software running in PC) is correctly intrepreted by STM32 even when paity is flipped.For example, if master sends a data with Even parity, STM32 undertsand the data for both EVen paity as well as Odd paity. Buut when no paity is set in STM32, data is not understood by it. Similarly, if I set Odd paity in master, even then data is unserstood by STM32 is correct with Even paity and Odd paity.I am not so happy since this works in this way.For your info I have pasted by UART init code below:void USART1_Init(void){// Enable GPIOB and USART1 clocksRCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBEN

I have a Nucleo WB55RG board with in built ST-Link.I programmed it with a blinky LED & a UART message "Hi there!\n" via the CubeIDE on a different PC & it all works fine. TeraTerm has no problem selecting the ST-Link device connected to the PCNow running it on a new PC I keep getting "No ST-Link Detected" when trying to download from CubeTeraTerm cant find any COM ports when the board is plugged in but can find Arduino devices communicating via serial with no problem when they are plugged in.The device doesn't even show up in the Device Manager.I have installed ST-Link drivers & have successfully programmed other Nucleo boards with this PC in the past.When the board is plugged in  the com LED next to the ST USB flashes red & LED5 is on-redI have uninstalled & reinstalled the latest ST-Link version but nothing.I'm on USB cable number 3 so I doubt that a ddgy cable is th eissue unless I'm unlucky enough t

Hello,I am trying to implment MODBUS Slave RTU with STM32F030C8T6. I havce used RS485 for physical layer for communication.As per MODBUS protocol, a stream of 8 bit data will be sent from Master.  As a first step slave must capture all the data in an array, then process the data, do the required action and send back data.In MODBUS if there is silence of more than 3.65 milli seconds (for Baudrate of 9600) slave can decice that Masfet has finished the data transfer.I have used UART1 in Interrupt mode (RXNE) to receive the UART data and fill it in the array. Whenever a character is recived by UART, I reset the timer 3 to restart the timing of 3.65mS. If no data comes from UART for more than 3.65ms, slave will decide as teh frame is completed and start next actions.As of now, to analyze the received data, I used conditional statements and digital outputs inside while loop. I have oscilloscope too. Now the issue is. W

Is the 'stm32-external-loader' repository still maintained?The stm32-external-loader contrib branch has not been updated in over 5 years.  There are currently 7 open pull requests with updates to support new flash ICs.  Some of these PR are 4 or 5 years old.The ST MOOC external loader course encouraged developers to add their drivers and many have.  Does anyone from ST know why these updates were never considered for the contrib branch?

Hello, I am working on a stm32u083rc. I'm trying to establish a USB Serial connection using the HAL_PCD library. I'm at the enumeration stage and trying to read the data sent by the PC (windows).The USB device is initialized with CubeMX (STM32Cube FW_U0 V1.2.0) in Device only, Full Speed, interrupts enabled.In my setup, I call the HAL_PCD_Start() function. Windows will detect a connection and attempt to enumerate it. HI，  I am developing ble audio application with the STM32WBA55G-DK1 board, i refered the BLE_Audio_TMAP_Peripheral project. Now my phone can paired with the board and when i play the music, the ble audio stream can setup successfully. But then the application enter WWDG_IRQHandler, i debug the applicaiton and analyzed the WWDG register, the register of WWDG_CR was 0x7F, WWDG was not actived, so i think it was very strange, then i  wrote WWDG_IRQHandler function myself to replace the original definition.void WWDG_IRQHandler(void){while(1);}But when i test again, a new abornal interrupt WKUP_IRQHandler was trigged. Then i wrote WKUP_IRQHandle fuction myself, and tested again.Another abormal interface WKUP_S_IRQHandler was triggerd.So it is very strange, these abnormal interrupt were disabled, but why these abornal interrupts can be triggered?The final log output is as follows.
