STM32 MCUs

Hi,I designed a screen like the one below. The page works very well in the simulator. However, when I load it into the demo kit (STM32N6570 DK), nothing appears on the screen. When I hide one of the texts, thinking it might be related to the buffer, the screen appears on the kit without any problems.Increasing the Canvas buffer did not solve the problem. Where can I see the size of all the text icons etc. loaded on the screen? How can I calculate it?I use a special font in the texts I add. Also, the product will support more than one language. What should I pay attention to regarding size?I'm sharing my settings.

Hi All, We all know how hard it often is to track down the cause of hard faults, particularly random or intermittent ones when the debugger isn't connected and particularly when using freeRTOS in a complex system with many tasks, timers and queues.  To assist I have written a hard fault handler that provides printed output of all the mcu and if used, floating point registers, special registers and the freeRTOS task that was running when the hard fault occurred.  It also provides memory ranges to check for program counter, link register and stack addresses to check whether an address used is definitely invalid. I have checked it on a range of fault types and it seems to work OK. I'm not an ARM assembler expert, my assembler knowledge is quite limited, so I would appreciate it if the assembler/mcu experts could critique it and suggest fixes and mod's. Hi all,we're facing some issues with the STM32F469IDISCOVERY board. Sometimes the display seems to be freezing. I started a debug session yesterday and found out that during this error the ft6x06_TS_GetXY function gets called without touching the display. If the error doesn't occur we can see that the ft6x06_TS_DetectTouch function is called frequently to poll for new touch events, right? Only if there is an event the GetXY function is called to get the proper coodinates for the touch event.This is why I think that during the error state multiple touch events get rocognized without a real touch event.Our STM32F469IDISCOVERY board uses the FT6336G touch controller. Is the ft6x06 driver still the newest driver for this controller or is there an alternative (if I create a new TouchGFX project with TouchGFX Designer this driver is also loaded).Are there any solutions for this behaviour? Hello ST Community, I am currently working on a project using the STM32U5G9ZJT6Q MCU. My application involves sending data over USB using CDC-ACM mode. While the code appears to be working correctly, I am encountering an issue where the execution gets stuck in the scheduler.However, during runtime, the code halts, and the debugger points to _tx_thread_schedule(); I suspect there might be an issue with middleware integration or clock settings, but I am unable to pinpoint the root cause. Hi.I am currently working on a custom board using the stspin32g4. This was derived from the evspin32g4 development board alone with the stm32 motor workbench. Uploading the motor workbench code to the evspin32g4, works and can tune the motor parameters through serial.Moving away from the development evspin32g4 to a custom board has become a tad tricky. I am able to possible flash the custom board's stspin32g4 microcontroller using the ST-link/V2 programmer/ debug tool. However, I couldn't get the serial uart port working. I can confirm the source code is exactly the same (Being uploaded) to the evspin32g4 (So I don't think it's a programming issue).At first, I tried confirming the UART is working correctly. Hello,I am using a STM32WBA55 controller and want to wake up from sleep mode (STOP1) as soon as an external interrupt (UART start bit) with falling edge occurs on pin PA11 (PA11 is also the USART2 Rx pin).Is there a possibility (e.g. with USART autonomous mode) to wake up with falling edge (UART start bit) to start UART with GPDMA or do I have to configure PA11 as external interrupt pin first:1.) Configure PA11 as external interrupt pin2) As soon as an interrupt occurs, initialize UART2 and receive a few bytes3) When the UART2 communication is finished, de-initialize UART2 and initialize PA11 as external interrupt pin again4) Go into STOP1 mode

Posted on February 03, 2017 at 17:57I'm trying to implement an XMODEM file transfer through the USB CDC Interface on an STM32L4 processor in Full-Speed and seem to be having issues with XMODEM 132 byte packets getting split up and one of the middle packets getting resubmitted. I need to be able to NAK/ACK the XMODEM packets to keep the transfer going but this seems to sometimes mess up the submitting of the sub-packets causing me to get invalid data. Is there anyway to only trigger the CDC_Receive_FS function once all 132 bytes are received at the end point? Handling the separate packets from within the CDC_Receive_FS is causing problems because sometimes the broken up packets are being sent multiple times and there is no easy way of detecting a repeat.I generated my code using the latest STM32 firmware for STM32CubeMX and am working in Keil.#stm32-usb #usb-fs #usb-cdc #usb-vcp-stm32_usb-fs-device_lib #stm32l4

I am using STM32H747-DISCO board for development, and I try to access for MDIOs connectivity of the STM32H747, I found a document describe about MDIO:STM32H7-Peripheral-Management data Input Output slave interface (MDIOS)From the document it describes like the STM32H7 MDIO can go up to 16bits, can it go beyond that and modify it to read/write 32bit data?If this model cannot support 32bit MDIO, does any other STM32 IC support 32bit MDIO?

Hello, Testing 3.3V Octo-SPI PSRAM is fine on the STM32L4P5G-DK board. I'd like to test another 1.8V Octo-SPI PSRAM now. The solder bridge options SB17/SB18 for PSRAM and SB13/SB14 for MCU are modified for the purpose. However, a certain DQ bit is still failing. What else do I have to configure accordingly? Thanks.

hi, im using stm32g474vet6 mcu for power converter. when the supply is turned on initially first time, controller is behaving like hang or stuck somewhere. if i do a pushbutton reset, the mcu starts working fine. after that no issue. whenever im turning off and on the power supply, that time controller is not responding or hanging.what to do for this. since nrst pin not pulled down or pull up. only boot pin is pulled down with 10kohms. i think in debugging mode, controller will alive only, this problem will not come. initially some code issue or init issue or configuration issue if there also, but after the reset mcu starts working finely.so what happens with the initial supply on time. since i have changed power supplies also. after changing the power supply, if i turn off and on(POR) , during that time also hanging is happening.whenever main supply turn off and on this probelm is coming one time, after push button reset only mcu starts working fine

I'm trying to transmit a bitmap via USART. The bitmap transmits correctly in HAL. My project is register-based, written from scratch. The issue is that my USART has a speed synchronization problem—meaning:When my C# terminal is set to 57600 BAUD, it reads one byte correctly, but an additional zero byte is received and written to the buffer index.At equal speeds (115200 BAUD) for both the MCU and the terminal, it incorrectly reads the bitmap byte, and still receives an extra empty byte in the buffer.I can't figure out what's wrong. I suspect it might be a misconfigured clock system. My board is

Hi,I am running a simple TCP server using the lwIP stack and no RTOS. I got help from the "Echo_Server" example offered in most ST eval board packages, everything works fine.I need to accept a single socket connection from the outside and maybe also establish one as a client.I understand that because sockets are sort of blocking, they are often implemented in a multi-thread environment. I am trying to not use any OS. Any type of the F series microC will do.Has anyone ever implemeted lwIP sockets without any OS? Can it be done?Thank you. 

I am trying to get 800KHz frequency with Timer 3 and timer clock is 64MHz and i am using below setting to initalize the timer, but its frequency is 666.66KHz. Hello,I have a screen with a scrollable container which items are cached custom containers.Everything works fine except that every once in a while the UI stops working and I am stuck with a DMA2D configuration error which is not handled by the touchgfx core. The workaround was to enable the configuration error interrupt flag and to call the transfer complete callback even if the error occurs, so that the touchgfx task doesn't block forever. I can sometimes see some glitches in the graphic when this situation occurs but at the moment I can surive with that.The problem arise either with copy or fill DMA operations.TouchGFX v2.31 and v2.32 behave the same, apparently v2.32 shows the problem less frequently but that might just be random.CPU: STM32H750 and external SRAM for the 2 framebuffers.I am attaching a screenshot of the DMA2D regiters captured after one of those situations occured.
