Hi everyone,We're working with STiROT and TrustZone on an STM32H5 (NUCLEO-H533RE), and during the provisioning process we generate the STiRoT_Config.obk file from the STiRoT_Config.xml using the Trusted Package Creator (TPC).Our question is whether the .obk file itself is encrypted or signed during generation, and if so, which keys are used for that purpose?We're trying to determine if we need to protect any additional private keys used during .obk creation, beyond those already defined for firmware encryption and authentication.Any insight on whether the .obk file is cryptographically protected (encrypted or signed), or if it's simply a binary container holding the public and private keys for secure boot, would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Dear all, Dear all,I use a NUCLEO_H7A3ZI_Q, connected through an external Arduino/Zio-type connector to an external signal generator, which outputs a constant voltage level.the input channel of the μCU appears to be saturated to 3.3V; it shows this value, even if I increase the incoming voltage to e.g. 4.0V.However, the manual DS13313 states, that this channel should be 5.0V tolerant (see attachment)Could this be related to the caution notice from the UM2408 Manual (see attachment) I wonder how the adapter board is able to saturate the value, if that is true... Many thanksL.A.

For my project, an error message must display on the screen when there's a I2C related communication error. To simulate an I2C error, I pulled out the resistor that is connected between SDA and VCC(for good working of I2C communication, a resistor between VCC and SDA is necessary). When I2C error communication occurs, I2C error callback is called, a lot of things are apparently deactivated such as systick timer etc, using of a delay halts the code(since tick value doesn't increase). The MCU can't enter presenter and view of touchgfx anymore. What  can be done so that TouchGFX works again, so that I can display the needed error message on the screen)?

When I use mbedtls on my STM32U585 core board without enabling hardware acceleration, it works fine. However, when I follow the instructions in some posts and copy examples, such as the rsa_alt from SBSFU under STM32U5Cube, many errors appear, and it seems difficult to fix. I noticed that the mbedtls in STM32CubeU5 seems to be several versions behind. I also tried using H5 for porting, but the result is still not satisfactory. Will there be new hardware acceleration examples for STM32U585 using STM32-MW-MBEDTLS? Thank you."

Hi, I am having several days problems with connecting ST-Link to gdb server to debug. I am using ST-Link V3, V2 (genuine ones).Everything was working fine until I connected Copy of a ST-Link debugger (I didn't know it is copy, it has original logo on the top, but I took off the cover and there was not original STM32F1 MCU, just some knock off). So I tried to update this Fake ST-Link debugger and I didn't succeed, and I tried to update it also via STM32Programmer and also through ST-Link update button in VS Code. After all of this I think it messed up my GDB server directory on my mac but I deleted all ST software and installed again but still without change. It prints GDB server failed or USB error... Than I have read that ST stopped supporting those fake debuggers so I than connected my two original V2 debuggers, but without change. I even bought new original ST-Link V3MINIE and still the same, now it prints this :""""Error connecting to device STLINK-V3

Hi,I am trying to get the OEMiROT example projects running on STM32H563 from "STM32CubeH5\Projects\NUCLEO-H563ZI\Applications\ROT". The provision.bat script fails after writing option bytes (probably after enabling TZ) and tries to reconnect to the MCU, which is where the script fails.To get around this, I am trying to do what "provisioning.bat" does manually. I compiled the "OEMiROT_Boot", "OEMiROT_Appli_TrustZone" apps (secure and non-secure) in STM32CubeIDE and the expected .hex are generated. Insidie my firmware I use some standart library functions line strlen(), vsprintf and some HAL functions to manage peripherals.What is the best way to call these functions from pcrop area?Should I include all needed functions in the pcrop area? Regards,Miguel

Hi,I am using STM32H753ZI nucleo board, developing with Keil IDE. I am using UART RX and TX DMA. I want to check if there is a possibility of corruption of UART data while transmitting with DMA Tx.The sending device will send 8-byte defined command to STM32H753ZI and then STM after performing the required operation will send response in a 8-byte defined format.My system works very well, but sometimes the UART data which is transmitted back to sending device in response to some specific command is seen to be corrupt or any random data other than defined protocol or packet message dataAlso, it is seen that the data is sent to sending device without any command which the code never does (that data are mostly 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 all 0's of 8 byte).I am doubting something has gone bad on USB to UART TTL module or USB hub or something in hardware. I am currently working with the STM32H7S7I8T6 microcontroller and have selected IS42S16400N-7TL as the external SDRAM.I would like to interface both SDRAM and an LTDC display with this MCU. However, I’m facing issues because some of the required pins are not available—they are multiplexed (used for dual functions). Hello,I am listing files on the SD card using fileX. My issue that some of the files contain Czech Characters (eg. č,ž,ě,š and few more). It seems that files with czech characters are read with shortened file names. (FX_MAX_LONG_NAME_LEN is set to 256). For example file "113---Kočka ze Záběhlic.dat" is read as "113---~1.DAT". File with almost the same name length "112---Dejte mu zahrát.dat" is read correctly.So my theory is it has something to do with the character encoding.I used to read all the names correctly with fatfs in the past however this is first time I am using FileX.Any tips?regards Jeronym

My application is very simple, I only want to send and receive raw ethernet frames -- no UDP or TCP at all. I also prefer not to use LWiP for something so basic. Can anyone point me to an example of raw ethernet frame IO using just HAL? HiI got a new STM32F407VGT6 Dicovery board which is quite awesome. I have been playing with it and now I want to print stuff to a terminal via Serial. I looked up some tutotials and there they simply use the on board STLink becasue USART pins are connected between the MCU and the STLINK and gets the Serial data through USB to the computer. To do that they install VCP drivers which I also did. But when I plug in my STM32 board it does not show as an COM Port. Instead it shows as STM32 STLink.This is the tutorial I have been following. Hi everyone,I am trying to use the X-Cube-Cryptolib library to decrypt an array encrypted by an external application.The original data has been encrypted with the AES-GCM 128 using a key of 16 bytes and an IV of 1 byte.Now, I am getting an error where trying to set the IV to a length other than 12 byte.Can you confirm that the method "cmox_cipher_setIV" only accept an IV of 12 byte? It is strange that the method documentation does not contain such info..I tried with an other library that perform a GHASH padding of the IV and it can decrypt my input data.Is there any similar implementation of a standard compliant method to perform an IV padding to be used with the ST library?Thanks,regardsArianna

Hi everybody,I am currently working on an STM32F446REDatasheet I need to save some bytes like 10 for example. I need to save some bytes like 10 for example, in flash memory to save my HMI configuration.I have read articles and done research but I don't understand everything.The memory is divided into sectors. I think I have to write my data to the end of the memory. However, the last sector is 128kB. Do I have to erase 128kB each time? Isn't there a simpler and less resource-intensive method? Can't we just delete a 2KB page?I really need to save only a few variables Thank you to reading me

I am having some problems understanding your X-CUBE-TCPP-stack.Some background info:I am initializing the software with MX_UCPD1_Init() and MX_USBPD_Init() provided by the original stack/CubeMX. I am testing the connection with several USB-devices an -hosts.  We tested a previous version of our software on a  NUCLEO-G071RB in combination with a X-NUCLEO-DRP1M1 with your Tool "STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD", which was working fine. 1. The DPM_Params[0].PE_DataRole is always defined as USBPD_PORTDATAROLE_UFP, no matter what i connect to the USB-c port. Is this intended? 2. Hi to all, I am developing a product with the STM32H523VET6. This product must have USB 2.0 used as MSC Host (a USB-C connector is used but both communication and power management are of type 2.0).
