STM32 MCUs

Setup: I have two F103 MCUs connected via I2C. All pins are configured correctly with STM32CubeMX on both devices and boilerplate code was generated with it. I have gdb-multiarch connected to the Master MCU using openocd as an interface for debugging. The program loads and runs and I am able to use the debugger without issues.Problem: When the slave is not connected to the master, calling HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit with the Master MCU returns HAL_ERROR, which to my knowledge, is expected. However when I connect the Slave MCU the first time HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit is called it returns HAL_ERROR and on subsequent calls it returns HAL_BUSY. Whenever I disconnect and reconnect the Slave, the behaviour reoccurs. I only reconnect the slave (full reset), Master stays up.Code: The code is attached with the post. I would like to know the necessary operations and settings from power on to GPIO control.I have made a board using STM32H743XGH6.I want to set the GPIOs to turn on the LEDs, but it does not work.I am setting the GPIOs by manipulating the registers directly with JTAG.I would like to know what other settings are necessary before I can get the GPIO to work.(For example, set this register here, etc.).Sorry for the general explanation.Assuming there is nothing wrong with the circuit, any advice would make me happy.

Hello, my name is Matias from Efe Electrónica Argentina. I’m experiencing issues while programming my Riverdi 101STM32H7. Some of the problems include the device not being recognized and errors occurring when attempting to flash the memory using both STM32CubeIDE and TouchGFX.I’ve followed the official Riverdi instructions without success, and I also tried flashing the board manually using STM32CubeProgrammer, but the same errors persist. Additionally, I attempted to program the CM4 core first using STM32CubeIDE—which worked correctly—but when I try to program the CM7 core, the error appears again.I would really appreciate any help or guidan

Hello,I'm trying to get the DebugPrinter to work on an STM32H7S78-DK, but the debug message does not appear to be properly refreshed after the Application::invalidateDebugRegion(); The area slowly turns into a black rectangle after each text update. TouchGFXConfiguration.cpp shows:    static LCDGPU2D_AXI display;I don't see an hpp file for this. Hello I have Engine Control Unit (Siemens MS43) with Flash memory AM29F400BB and i want to remove this flash memory from PCB and connect STM32F407VET6 on its place simulate as flash memory and be able to change or adjust .bin file in "Real time" without turning off ECU. But i have some question about it.Is this doable ? Is STM32F407VET6 good enough for something like this ? Do i need something else with STM32 or it can do work like this on its own ? Iam in learning proecces of this, sorry if it sounds dumb..

 I am studying the architecture of the STM32H7 family, and according to the AN there are various types of memory, DRAM, SDRAM, NOR/PSRAM, NAND in addition to the swap between SDRAM and NOR/PSRAM.What is the reason for such diversity and what benefits does this bring to the developer and the system?

Sometimes I want a source folder in Windows set to case sensitive so I can fix the case of filenames for git and so I can test consistent case uses of include files so building on linux works too.In this case TouchGFX simulator complains that SDL2.DLL and SDL2_image.DLL are not found. The reason is the DLL extensions in the middlewares folder are lower case.For some reason building with Visual Studio 2022 did not cause any problems.For now my workaround is renaming the DLLs that are in the build folder.Changing the case in TouchGFX Designer should not cause a problem for people who have case sensitivity disabled (default).

Hi,I am trying to initialize and use the internal CRC peripheral in the STM32F412 MCU. My application is based on Zephyr RTOS, using the STM32 HAL.My application defines the CONFIG_USE_STM32_HAL_CRC, so the stm32f4xx_hal_crc.c is included in the build.The application builds and links just fine, and I can call the HAL_CRC_Init, HAL_CRC_GetState and HAL_CRC_Calculate without any problems.Only problem is the calculation is 0 for my 4 test bytes (0x01, 0x02, 0x03, 0x04). Debugging through the code, it does set the "hcrc->Instance->DR" in stm32f4xx_hal_crc.cAre there any additional settings I need to include? Maybe clock configurations?

Greeting Everyone,I am facing an issue with my STM32 board having STM32F103C8T6 as MCU, while trying to see a normal "Hello World" output. After debugging the board, I attempted to connect it to my PC via the serial port. To ensure proper communication, I installed the necessary Virtual COM Port drivers from the STM32 website.However, my PC is not detecting the COM port to which the STM32 board is connected. Additionally, when I try to view the output on the Debugger Console within STM32CubeIDE, I encounter an error that prevents me from seeing the expected output.I have written the code below that I'm using to print the Hello World which I have found online. Also I do not know if their is any problem on the code. With this I have also attached the Pin Configuration and Clock configuration details below as images.  

Hello,I have the TI ADS8350 and want to read both channels in parallel. They support SPI, but I can not figure out how to setup the dual SPI for this. Another way would be to use DMA, could someone point me in the right direction. I am using SMT32F412.Thanks. 

I was wondering by which reason the HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback is not being called. All the functions called in the inside the HAL_LPTIM_Init return HAL_OK. 

Hello,I'm trying to write an application with TrustZone enabled that uses the LTDC peripheral.My application:boots into secure worldconfigures the LTDC peripheral and its interrupt, as well as the relevant GPIO pins, as non-secureswitches to the non-secure world.In the non-secure world, I configure the LTDC, passing a buffer placed in non-secure SRAM and start drawing. However, the screen stays black.I'm able to access the LTDC registers from the non-secure world, so it seems that the permission settings for the MCU are correct. My guess is that for some reason the LTDC peripheral itself does not have permission to access the SRAM, am I missing some other settings?

Hi everybody,I training today to the screen qith the driver ILI9341.I use a library find the net.If i use the SPI in normal mode (pooling) everyhting it's ok.But the time to fill is very long ( like 2 second aprox.). Hi All, I am trying to reduce the boot up power consumption using STM32U575RIT6xQ . I using a 4-20mA power source and the boot up power is 7.6mA. After it boots up the power consumption is 3.4mA. We are using Free RTOS. Below is the pins that are activated :1. ADC1      3 Channels2. GPIO       26 Pins 3. I2C2        2 pins 4. TIM           2 timers5. UART4     6. USART3   Asynchronous My requirement is the device should boot up and run below 3.5mA. Is there a way to reduce it in the firmware at the boot up. I am aware that power saving mode can be implemented in the code but not sure how to reduce power at boot up. If anyone could provide any assistance it would be very helpful Thank You in advance

After writing the code correctly and connecting the display, it doesn't respond and only has the backlight on (from the power supply). I think my code is correct I compare it to the documentation of my display. I have a BLE device that uses BLE security mode 1, BLE security level 3 authenticated pairing.  It works with iOS, Windows, and MacOS.   It has an unencrypted characteristic for the initial connection and an encrypted characteristic for use after pairing.  I have an STM32WB55 BLE client that can connect to the unencrypted characteristic, complete the pairing process, and then switch to the encrypted characteristic for normal communication.  However, when I disconnect and then connect back in to the server, the STM32WB55 can talk on the unencrypted characteristic, but attempts to transmit to the server on the the encrypted characteristic fail (error code 0x91).  Both devices report bonding information that correspond to each other properly.  Is there some BLE stack call needed when connected to a bonded server that I am not finding in the documentation?   The connect/pairing/switch-to-encrypted-characteristic process works repeatably.

Hi, I try the whole day with an F103C8 to have the Alarm Pulse on Tamper Pin C13 but it is not possible, I tried with PullUp resistor and also I tried to configure manually the GPIO Pin to AF OD config. But with my Osciloscope I cannot see anything. Only works the Clock divided with 64 output, with this configuration I can see the clock with a 511Hz signal. I tried CubeIDE 1.15 and 1.18 with tha same results.Any Ideas? Kind regards,Niko

On page 1017, Section 31.3 in Package data register of the STM32C0 reference manual (Revision 5), looking at the PKG[3:0] bitfield, when the condition is STM32C071xx, there seems to be two parameters with the same value? Was the value 0b1100 intended over 0b1000? (Since both "UFQFPN32_N / LQFP32_N" and "LQFP64_N" are 0b1000). See below for the referenced page.
