STM32 MCUs

Hi,I'm trying to flash overt build in uart bootlader stm32 slave device. Here is my setup :Master STM32F4 with tinyUSBSlave STM32WLE5 device Master and slave are connected together over uart. NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-QSTM32CubeIDE Version 1.17.0STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32U5 Series 1.7.0 In the call chain from main() -> SystemClock_Config() -> HAL_RCC_OscConfig(), HAL_OK is not being returned.It seems that the HSE configuration is failing. After calling __HAL_RCC_HSE_CONFIG, the code waits for the HSE to become ready, but it appears to be timing out. I created and built the project as described below.(1) STM32 project -> Borad Selector -> NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q -> Finish(2) Project -> Build All I haven't made any code changes, but if anyone has an idea of what might be causing this, I would appreciate your input. 

Hi,I would like to make an application to access micro sd card via SPI from STM32F407VG-DISC1 board. I have configured the pins as seen in table below.Main file is also attached. However, when I run the application I get FR_NO_FILESYSTEM error. My card is formatted as FAT32. It is class4 2GB micro SD card. When I remove the SD card then I received another error that is FR_NOT_READY. I am writing to address a concern regarding the QSPI External Flash Loader that I have developed, which I have attached below for your reference.The functionality of reading, writing, and erasing operations with the ".stldr" file in conjunction with other project files is working seamlessly. However, I am encountering an issue when attempting to verify the data during the loading/debugging process. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. I'm working with the STM32H730VBT6 and I'm currently using the stm32h730xx.h CMSIS header file, but there's also the stm32h730xxq.h in the cmsis-device-h7 repository. I assume I'm using the correct header file for my microcontroller (pretty sure CubeMX uses stm32h730xx.h too), but RM0468 (Rev. 3) mentions a SDEN bit ("SMPS step-down converter enable") in PWR_CR3 (pg. 289) but the stm32h730xx.h -- in the same field -- calls it

Hi all,I am trying to implement ring buffer for my board that is STM32F407VG-DISC1. I have found out a tutorial and followed each and every step. However, when I transmitted message via serial console tool (hercules), I dont receive any data in Rx Buffer. In the first snapshot attached, I can observe that Uart_sendstring function is working as I can see on the console (Hercules) "send string works". However, when I send 11111 it is not received, therefore rxbuffer is empty as can be seen in the second snapshot and also uart_write function is not run, as "if(IsDataAvailable())" returns "0". Could you please help me with this ?You can see the repo here.

If the PDR_ON connector is connected to the GND, the VBAT function may not be available.What is the VBAT function?To use RTC, a coin cell is connected to the VBAT connector. Is there a problem if the PDR_ON connector is connected to the GND?I am using STM32F429ZI.Please let me know.

Hello,I am working on a simple project at STM32L476 NUCLEO which includes ADC1 + TIM6 + DMA1. No libraries are used.I am facing the problem where I need to manually set ADSTART bit after each EOS, as it seems it gets cleared and no further conversions are done until bit is set again, even though ADC is running in single mode + hw trigger.I managed to pinpoint the time when it gets cleared by storing CR register value during various interrupt handlers (EOS, EOC, TIM update). ADSTP is not set from SW side in any case.No error/outstanding ISR bits are set (EOS & EOSMP).When is ADSTART initially set?In ADRDY interrupt handler, I enable timer and set ADSTART.Details:SYSCLK is HSI (16MHz), AHB prescaler 1, APB1 prescaler 4, which gives:ADC1 freq = 4MHz  (SYSCLK and CKMODE=01)TIM6 freq = 4MHz x 2 = 8MHzTIM6 is basic timer, configured to give update TRGO ev

Hi,   I'm trying to implement BACnet using an STM32F401RE Nucleo board and a W5500 Ethernet shield, but I'm having trouble adding the BACnet source files. I'm unsure exactly which source and header files I need to include. Despite several attempts, I keep getting multiple errors. Were you able to successfully run your BACnet project? Hi,I work with STEVAL-DB012VA, anf WISE-Studio over Linux. Starting from the peripheral exemple, I am trying to output a sequence of bits over GPIOB at a specific rate. To do this I am programming the DMA to transfert data from a buffer in memory to GPIOB->ODR and the DMAMUX to make the transfers clocked by TIM16 overflow.The program compiles without warnings nor errors but nothing appears on the outputs.Please look also to rf_driver_ll_dmamux.h. In the comments for LL_DMAMUX_SetRequestID, the list of possible values for "Request" parameter do not include LL_DMAMUX_REQ_TIM16_UP. This is what I used and it is probably why it do not works. But why? The TIM16 is supposed to be an option for synchronizing the DMA. Is it really possible?See my code in the files main.c and app_main.c attached. Any clue?Thanks,Rémi

We have a device which connects to two other devices as a central, and also is connected to by a third device (Mobile Phone) as a peripheral.When updating the Bluetooth firmware binary from version 1.20.0 to 1.21.0 we have started experiencing disconnections from the third device, downgrading back to 1.20.0 resolves any issues.A summary of the connection flow is detailed below:Device A (Peripheral) and Device B (Peripheral) are scanned for and connected to by Device C (Central)Device C (Peripheral) Advertises and is scanned for and connected to by Device D (Central)Device C soon stops responding to Device D and a connection timeout occurs (this is seen on wireshark and is not always the same point in the connection)This behaviour is not observed, and the connection seems to be stable when Device C only connects to one of Device A or B before connecting to Device D, it also seems stable if the following sequence is performed:

Hi, 1) I'm using the Nucleo-L496ZG board. I 'am working on Independent Watchdog timer.  I'm facing an issue that is my timeout value is 15msec, reload value is 29, so my watchdog refresh should happen till 14msec. But iam unable to refresh the watchdog timer at 14 msec. why? 2)How to se the value of IWDG Window value in IWDG  configuration. And how to disable it? what is importance of it in IWDG?     Could anyone please assist me on this. Hi,Using Wise studio Version: 1.3.1_R Build id: 2023_05 on Linux with the STEVAL-IDB012V1 (BlueRNG-LPS dev. kit). I discovered that my instructions to write values in the timer registers have no effect. I found it by tracing the program while watching the register values in the register window of the debugger perspective. For example, TIM2->ARR = 3200; produce no change in the register. Same result with TIM16 and TIM17. I should miss something very basic here. It is made from the "Profiles_Peripheral_with_Library" example. We are experiencing an issue with poor RSSI values on our STM32WB55 based custom board. We are normally running the extended ble stack and with only 3 feet between the windows PC and the STM32WB55 board were at RSSI values around -85.  When I switch to the Full BLE Stack I'm getting -50 values, I can go out the office, down the hall about 20 feet before I get the -85 db range.I loaded the BLE_peripheral_lite example onto my board to test out if I had poor configuration and im getting good numbers 25 ft away, the example project requires the full stack. So I wanted to test the full with my board and software, and when I loaded the full im getting much better numbers. Similar to the example project.Is there something related to the extended vs full stack that could be causing this issue?  Could this be a configuration issue in my software?My current software almost 1-1 mimics the BLE_Peripheral_lite example for initializing cpu2.

Hello,I am trying to read sample from a AD7768 using a STM32F767. The data is feed to the SAI peripheral at 8Mhz. I used this code https://github.com/pavel-demin/stm32f7-discovery-usb-headset/blob/master/Drivers/BSP/STM32746G-Discovery/stm32746g_discovery_audio.c has reference. I am reading sample in burst of few k bytes using the DMA. But approximately half the samples are wrongs. It looks like the first frame bit is read before the frame start which lead to a data frame shift of 1 bit. When it happens the bit LFSDET (Late frame synchronization detection) is set in the SR register. Sometime even if the data are correct the LFSDET bit is set.I tried every frame synchronization and clock configuration but I cannot make it works. My best results

The application requires a contiguous 4MB+ memory block configured as a Heap.We have followed your articles and example code from GitHub to get started. However, when we load the pre-built binaries available within the example to execute application from PSRAM, the Green LED does not blink. Upon investigation, we confirmed that the FSBL executes JumpToApplication, but the application itself seems to get stuck somewhere. Since we are using the external boot option, debugging is not possible.Interestingly, when we build the same application using the LoadAndRun linker file, we can debug it, and

The documentation I have says the Ethernet calculation with 0x4C11DB7... but I don't get results matching what I get from any other calculator. To remove any endianess or mirroring questions I've tried 0x00000000 and 0x66666666 (e.g.). All calculators I have produce 2144_DF1C and E425_C810 for those 2 inputs. From the CRC unit I get 6904_BB59 and 7B91_8196 (which don't seem to be related by combinations -- on the final value -- of bit flipping and reflection).Yes I asked what the results are -- because I can't imagine what I' don't see in the 1 -> CR; XXXX -> DR; Result <- DR sequence.TIA,Brett

Hello Team , I am trying to use the SAI1_A on the STM32H563ZI and I am not able to read any data using the asynchronous RX Mode. The control keeps checking for status != SAI_FIFOSTATUS_EMPTY and there are no updates post that.(Although, I am using the same code and configuration on the STM32L552ZEQ MCU and it works as expected.) As per the reference manual of STM32H5, I have the SB71 OFF.  Please let me know if there are any more configurations to be done as a part of this.  Thank you,Janani 

When I create a gauge with this configuration, it works fine in the simulator, but on the device the needle is not visible.Arcs work fine, and gauge is correctly displayed. Needle is not.I have tried with STM32F746G-DISCO: it works fine.It's only with nucleo-G071RB + GFX01M2.My environment:- nucleo-G071RB board- X-NUCLEO-GFX01M2 espansion board (XNGFX01M2$AZ1)

I use lan8742 and stm32f429IGT6 to implement Ethernet communication.The files lan8742.c and lan8742.h are the configuration files that I am using.For the reception of Ethernet data, I adopt the interrupt mode to receive data, and use the interrupt mode to send data as well. I am currently encountering a phenomenon that I find rather confusing. During the transmission process, there is a problem of packet loss. After sending, when I read the value of the ETH_MMCTGFCR register, I found that the value read was the expected quantity for sending after my processing, but I did not capture the quantity of Ethernet frames recorded in the ETH_MMCTGFCR register using Wireshark. Instead, I only captured the network packets. Furthermore, through my experiments, I found that if the SR bit is cleared before sending the ETH_DMAOMR and then re-set after the sending is completed, there will be no more loss during transmission, but it will result in loss during reception.
