Dear ST Community, I am currently working with the STM32L433RC board, specifically utilizing its 12-bit ADC. Hi,I use stm32h743zi nucleo board and I try to GPIOx_BSRR register .This register has two 16 bit registers "BSRRL" and "BSRRH".As I understand BSRRL is used to set bit and then BSRRH is used to reset bit.GPIOB->BSRRL =(1<<0); to set the zero pin ,but there is an error: #136: struct "<unnamed>" has no field "BSRRL"

Hello, I'm using a STM32 F446RETx trying to trigger an ADC conversion on PA0. I use TIM2 Channel 1 using a pwm with no output to trigger the ADC 1 conversion on channel 0. Hi all,I'm using an STM32F746 Disco board. I'm not sure if the code (below) for this codec came from one of the examples for this board or other disco or nucleo board but it is from an STM32 example or board or github.There are three lines for "WM8994 Errata Work-Arounds". I tried to look for the errata sheet for the WM8994 but I can't find it. The datasheet says not to write to register not shown in the map. The registers being addressed in the "Work-Arounds" are not shown in the map. I completed an alpha prototype design with the NUCLEO-G071RB, the STM32 Nucleo-64 development board with a STM32G071RB MCU plus a custom daughter board. Hardware and software using the HAL library work well, so I moved on to the next step, a beta design: a custom board with the STM32G0B1RET MCU for extra memory.The alpha source code was ported to the new MCU using the HAL library, and MX was used to adjust the pinout.Result: the beta device establishes UART communication with the external device, but reports unexpected HAL_TIMEOUT errors:err = HAL_UART_Receive(huart1, (uint8_t*) uart_RxBuffer, packLen, timeout);The variable 'timeout' is 20 ms, and the oscilloscope shows that a response received within 4 ms. It should work, so why teh timeout error. (I assume the measurement unit is milliseconds.)What can cause these timeout errors? Thank you!

Hello,I have a question regarding the bootloader of the STM32C0 (especially the TSSOP 20 version STM32C031F6Px).According to the datasheet and the reference manual, the bootloader can communicate via UART1 and I2C1.The pins it is using are PA9&PA10. These pins are mapped to PA11&PA12. But if I configure UART1 in CubeMX, UART1 is not and can't be assigned to these pins.Could somebody please explain:How to do the configuration of using UART1 as the communication interface for the bootloader in CubeMX?What happens and how to deal with the situation that I have assigned some other STM32 peripheral to PA11&PA12 and the triggering the bootloader? Is UART1 then remapped to these pins even it was on other pins before the bootloader?How is this remapping of the pins PA9/PA10 to PA11/PA12 done?BR,      Andreas

Hello,I am using NUCLEO-F756ZG. My application is ADC related. I am measuring an analog signal at high sampling rate. Recently, I had a discussion with my team and had an interesting proposal. Our target signal is pretty much guranteed to be within 0.5V to 1V range. So, I thought of supplying external reference voltage for a custom range. On nucleo boards, the VDDA and VREF+ are tied to VDD by default and makes the ADC range 0V~3.3V. But from the MB1137 schematic I found here, it seems that I can decouple VREF+ from VDD by removing SB12. Problem is that VREF+ is tied to VDDA on the board and can't be decoupled. So, if I put 1V or less in AVDD pin, it's probably not going to be enough to power the ADC. Or is it? Additionally, VREF- seems to be connected to ground through SB162 and by removing it, seems like I can supply an external VREF-. Would it work if

On STM32G474, I have a loop where I read ADC values, process them, and write the result to DAC.I am using the dual ADC mode and reading ADC12_COMMON->CDR . I do not care if I read the previous conversion result, in this case, is there a reason to check and reset ADC_ISR_EOS ? Does the CDR always contain the last conversion result ?Similarly, when using the DAC, can I continuously (most probably faster than DAC update rate) write to DAC_DHR12R1 without checking any flag ? I do not care if I overwrite the previous value before it is transferred to DAC_DOR.

Hello, I am having a confusion in understanding the Clock Frequencies for STM32L452RE. In the Datasheet its mentioned that "Several prescalers permit to configure the AHB frequency, the high speed APB (APB2) andthe low speed APB (APB1) domains" It also says "The maximum frequency of the AHB and the APBdomains is 80 MHz" which is correct. But if you see on the Block Diagram both APB1 and APB2 Share the same clock i.e 80MHz . How would we justify if APB1 is Low Speed and APB2 is High Speed.  It would be great to understand what its actually trying to say. Thanks in advance. Attaching the Images for Reference.  

I'm working on migrating a design from STM32F405 series to STM32G473 series, both LQFP100 package, both use FSMC for access to external SRAM (in multiplexed mode; I have separate address latches clocked from FMC_NADV capturing A0..A15 from D0..D15.) When verifying pin-by-pin alternate function definitions, I encountered FMC_NL (assigned through PB7) where I expected to find FMC_NADV (assigned through PB7.) On further checking, I see that datasheet for G473 (DS12712 rev 5 is the version I downloaded and am referencing) cites FMC_NL only in the pin/alternate function definitions, and FMC_NADV in the timing diagrams. The reference manual (RM0440) doesn't appear to site either pin name. Is reference FMC_NL in the pin alternate function definitions to be taken as a typo which should read FMC_NADV? Thank you  

In my project, my MCU (F411) uses I2C HAL API routinely to read from a sensor device.When some event happens, my interrupt handler will use I2C API to read from different register from that device; so my question is:Is HAL API thread safe? Although I don't use RTOS, there is possibility that my code may try to use I2C interface at the same time.

I've been having issues with getting an SD card working on an STM32L4R5ZI Nucleo board when using essentially the same code (with minor tweaks) without issues on the STM32WB55 Nucleo board.  I've been going through the code of both to determine where the problem is with the STM32L4 board.  I assumed I had a configuration issue in main (which I might still have, but the issue I found isn't what I was expecting).  When running my SD_IO_Init function, it's writing dummy bits but when it calls HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(), it's receiving HAL_BUSY as a response.  Usually when I'm having issues with my code, it's my implementation that's the issue but I'm not sure if that's necessarily the case here.  Below is the code I'm running:/* SPI INIT */ static void MX_SPI1_Init(void) { hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi1.Init.DataSiz

I have previously used the STM32F103C8T6 is a number of projects and was considering switching to the STM32H503RBT6. My use case is low volume R&D work. With the F1, I would use JTAG for programming but the option isn't available for the H5 in CubeMX under SYS. I was curious what others used for programming this chip.

Hello,I am using an stm32h750. I have an ADC group that includes 4 inputs from GPIO ports and the 3 internal ADCs (VBAT, CPU Temp, Reference Voltage). It's set up with DMA. The conversions run at 150hz.We use a coincell battery voltage as input to VBAT. The 150hz frequency of voltage reading is causing it to drain too quickly. The request is that this voltage is read much less frequently (like a few times a day)I'm brainstorming solutions. My original thought was to just remove VBAT from the ADC group and read it directly at application level, but I didn't know it was an internal ADC at that point, so I don't think this is possible?Second thought, after searching the forum, was to use injection mode. But, unless I'm misunderstanding, this is only possible at the group level, not individual channel? Hi,I have an issue with the CAN1 controller in my MCU. I have connected the CAN transceiver to PA12(TX) and PA11(RX). When connected to the CAN Bus I can see the frames coming to the MCU(RX line) and the ACK bits are visible on the TX line. Unfortunately attempting to send any frame fails without any error in any of the registers. After changing the TX Pin to PD1 everything runs smoothly. I did not apply any other changes in the parameters of the CAN controller in the CubeMX - just the pin change.Any ideas for such behaviour?Thanks.

tl;dr: accessing external memory over debugger results in additional unwanted write accesses to adjacent memory locationsI have an FPGA that is accessed via FMC over a 16-bit async connection (16-bit data +15-bit address), sort of like an external SRAM. The FPGA contains a PWM module with 16-bit control registers, that are memory mapped to the STM32H745 (e.g. CTRL @ 0x60000000, TIMER_PERIOD @ 0x60000002 and so on). MPU is set to strongly ordered. I set up a svd-file and generated defines, so I can access them like normal periphery, e.g.:FPGA->TIMER_PERIOD = 0x00FF;This should write 0x00FF to address 0x60000002. I have a custom board and I have to run an SD card on it using SDIO protocol however on f_mount() function it takes a long time to come out with error FR_DISK_ERR but when I call "HAL_SD_GetCardInfo(&hsd, &sdCardSpace)" then I am getting all the data. I have tried with both 1-bit and 4-bit SDIO and DMA but none is working. I need help to figure out if its hardware error or software error or what the error is.
