STM32 MCUs Software development tools

Hello all,I have been reading other posts with the same problem but I do not get the solution in my case.I'm using the development kit STM32F446RE (Nucleo 64).I have created a new project with STM32CubeMX 6.16.1, and I open the project with STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0. When compiling (in Debug or Release) I get this error: 11:39:26 **** Incremental Build of configuration Debug for project TEST_ST_NUCLEO ****make -j22 all make: stat: ../Core/Startup/startup_stm32f446retx.s: Permission deniedmake: *** No rule to make target '../Core/Startup/startup_stm32f446retx.s', needed by 'Core/Startup/startup_stm32f446retx.o'. Hi everyone,I am encountering an issue with the "Access to MCU Selector" feature.The Problem: After installing X-CUBE-AI packages version 10.2 (or any version later than 10.0), the MCU Selector fails to open. It gets stuck in an infinite loading loop. Additionally, the "Output" view remains empty, showing no error logs.Troubleshooting: I found that if I uninstall the versions newer than 10.0 and revert to X-CUBE-AI version 9.0.0, the MCU Selector works perfectly fine.Has anyone faced this issue? Is there a known workaround or solution to use the 10.2 version without breaking the MCU Selector?Thanks in advance. 

From cube 1.3.0 I always get this error and the cause seems to be the path generation in .d files. In cube 1.12.1 the path is relative but from cube 1.3.0 it is absolute and generates something like \\?\C:\.... So the only solution for me is to stay with cube 1.12.0. The build however seems ok an the bin file is generated. Did anyone had a similar issue? I just installed CubeIDE 2.0.0 on Ubuntu 24.04 (finally!).  However I cannot launch it (I do get the initial workspace selection popup, but after selecting "Launch" I get this error):$ /opt/st/stm32cubeide_2.0.0/stm32cubeide_wayland Could not create GBM EGL display: EGL_NOT_INITIALIZED. Aborting...A little bit of poking around on Google suggests that installing libnvidia-egl-wayland1 should fix this issue, however on my system libnvidia-egl-wayland1 is already installed:$ dpkg -l | grep libnvidia-egl-wayland1ii libnvidia-egl-wayland1:amd64 1:1.1.13-1ubuntu0.1 amd64 Wayland EGL External Platform library -- shared libraryii libnvidia-egl-wayland1:i386 1:1.1.13-1ubuntu0.1 i386 Wayland EGL External Platform library -- shared library I have tried rebooting a couple of times but I keep getting the same error.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

SOMETIMES (not always), when i try to debug (and only when i try to debug, run does its job well) with STM32CubeIDE my Riverdi board, i encounter the "Could not verify ST device! Please verify that the last version of the GDB-server is used for the connection" error. It happens right afterLoading RTOS driver... ThreadXConnecting to GDB server 127.0.0.1 on port 61234 ... ConnectedListen for GDB connection on port: 60000 ... Connected.if this helps.Downloading code with run is always fine, and sometimes the debug option works, but not always. It is really annoying to rely on luck to make the *** thing work. I tried unplug-replug. The board is definitly not counterfeited, same goes for the ST-Link. 

I made a support pack for better support of CAN connections.But there is no possibility to create a "Platform Setting" for CAN connections I tried to edit the "Modes.xml" manually. Than the PackCreator shows the correct IP, but STM32CubeMX doesn't accept it. 

I am trying to build the basic LED Blink on the STM32-N6570-DK , since i have build the code and try to run with the default settings it ends up with the following problem , whats the reason and how to solve this ?

I select a new project and select the STM32L100C6U6A. STM32CubeMX says it has 4 kBytes of RAM.I generate the project for EWARM.But when I generate the project for EWARM it puts stm32l100xba_flash.icf file in the project and that files says RAM is 16384 bytes.

The STM32N6 reference manual shows that IC18 drives the CSI2Host and CSIPHY IP blocks at a maximum frequency of 200 MHz. CubeMX generates this clock configuration code but does not show the clock path in the clock configuration window. Reporting two issues when using STM32CubeMX v6.16.1 to generate STM32N6 code. I created new secure only template project for STM32N6570-DK to demonstrate the issue (it's attached).Only changes to the new project are these:In MMT defined RAM2 area over AXI SRAM3-6. I am asking this question because I am a relatively new engineer working with STM32 and Cube IDE. When choosing the MCU to create a new project for my new board containing the STM32F401CCU6, I see that it is not listed and only STM32F401CEU6 appears. Can I create the project based on this model number and will everything work the same? I wanted to try it myself, but today has been a tough day, so I would appreciate your help with an answer tomorrow when I get to the office to save time.Thank you in advance.

Split from old thread Debug: "No source available for main()"This is not the same question.Little late to the party but I have the same issue kinda. I switched to other branch in our project and I had the very same result. Then I took all suggested steps and I get when I tried to debug:No source available for "__floatdisf() at 0x800216e" Besides after switching to that branch program compiles just fine but doesn't work. All of this is of some settings that remained in project and weren't covered in git commit, but it's hard to commit every single file in CubeIDE enviroment. All important files were covered like all code files and ioc etc. i always switch when Cube is not running because it also creates issues. Any idea

Hi Team, Urgent help required!! Today I have update my CubeIDE to the latest version, before the update i have had several projects saved, but none of it is launching in CubeIDE, when i click on the .IOC file from CubeIDE it opens on CubeMX and when i clock on generate code it says "The Code is successfully generated under :C:/Users/S****** H******/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.16.0/Door Module Testing" and as soon as i click on Open Project it goes to CubeIDE and shows main.c file. When I try to open the .IOC in CubeIDE it redirects to CubeMX again, a never ending loop has formed. Attaching screenshots for your review. Hi,I find even I disable Non-Secure Project's "Project References" to the secure one, the secure project still automatically build when I build the Non‑Secure one.And I find the "disable Project References" setting is work only when the 1st time build the Non-Secure Project after STM32CubeIDE open. After the 1st time build, STM32CubeIDE ignores the 'disable' setting.Snaku.

I'm considering migrating from STM32F469NIH6 to STM32F769NIH6. From data sheets it is apparant that these two MCU's have compatible pinout, however the pinout compatibility tool of STM32CUBEMX V6.15.0 doesn't show these MCU's as compatible, why is this?

Hi,I can't debug my application through GDB and ST-Link when the computer has no internet connection. I get this error:All bundles, both System and project, are up-to-date. When I connect to the internet, I can debug fine, but when I then disconnect and immediately try again (without exiting VS Code), I can't debug anymore.IMO debugging should be possible without an internet connection, e.g. when having to fix an error in the field.Regards,Niklas
