Hello, Using controller: STM32F767BIT6 External SRAM: SRAM-1x16M-48TSOPI Interface SRAM via FMC is successful, currently using heap_4 and tried to work with moving variables & complete heap to external SRAM and it works. But I want to use external RAM as extended RAM if internal RAM get exhaust. I have seen some examples in Keil which allow to do the same by using .ANY .ANY (+RW +ZI)  So, this will allow to use runtime RAM if it is free, so just for thoughts, if I define .ANY in internal and external RAM then in runtime it will decide where to go based the available size. But in STM32CubeIde, not sure how it can be done. So, I need help or examples to understand how we can actually use external SRAM as extended RAM. Thanks, Nitin

New user, fresh download of STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0.Created the demo "hello world" c++ project. Then attempted to compile it. I have a project that builds with no errors but when I "Run as..." the project builds but  never enters the upload sequence so doesn't upload.The board in question is a Nucleo F411RE & is communicating fine over UART. A previously loaded project is still sending out its debug messages, so I know the USB is good.Debug is not playing either... 

I am facing an issue with STM32CubeIDE installation where the “STM32 Project” option and CubeMX functionality are missing even after downloading the latest STM32CubeIDE package from the official ST website, extracting the ZIP file, and running the installer as administrator. The IDE opens successfully, but essential features such as MCU/Board selection, CubeMX integration, and embedded software package management are not available, which prevents me from creating a standard STM32 project. I have already tried reinstalling the IDE, but the problem persists. I would appreciate guidance from the community on the correct installation procedure or any additional steps required to enable full STM32CubeIDE and CubeMX support on Windows. 

I'm trying to use dual layers in LTDC of STM32N657X0HxQ controller. In the STM32CubeMX, I tried to set the Secure bit of RISUP for LTDC_L2 in RIF setting view, but the box is in gray color and is not selectable as follows.When I generate code with this box unchecked, my program does not work. So I manually changed the Secure bit in source code, which made LCD display work fine.How can I change the Secure checkbox in STM32CubeMX?My STM32CubeMX is version 6.16.1 for Windows 11.I've attached the ioc file.

Code generated by CubeMX use Windows line-endings, which generate huge problems under other operating systems (repository, editors, etc.). You have to strip CR-LFs after every code generation.Somebody should use standard method of platform-independent text file generation (StringBuffer and System.lineSeparator()).

Hi All,GreetingsWe are using STM32U585 on custom board with Trust zone enabled and now facing a connection issue with stm cube programmer in hotplug mode, now unable to connect to the microcontroller and getting ST-LINK error  as : DEV_TARGET_CMD_ERROR.When NRST is low continuously(pressing the Reset Switch) the connection to the controller through Cube Programmer is happening, but we are unable to change any option bytes, to revert back to Non Trust Zone Code. Once the reset switch(NRST) is high, it is going back to the same error. Any suggestions for this issue and how can we resolve this?Thanks and RegardsPhilip  

STM32CubeMX standalone hangs on File → New Project (infinite loading, no error message). The problem is fully reproducible.I have tried:– reinstalling CubeMX– different CubeMX versions– Java reinstall– offline mode– clearing STM32CubeMX cache/AppData STM32CubeIDE (latest) works normally but I can not generate projects with CubeMX. OS: Windows 11 pro Has anyone experienced this issue recently or knows a workaround / fix?Any advice from ST would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,I’m experiencing a new issue with STM32CubeProgrammer and I’m wondering if anyone else has run into the same problem.Starting today, every time I try to select a file (for example, when choosing a .bin or .hex to flash), the program freezes as soon as the Windows File Explorer window opens. After a few seconds, the whole application closes without any error message.This has never happened before — the tool was working perfectly yesterday. The only thing that changed is that Windows installed an update overnight. Since then, STM32CubeProgrammer consistently crashes whenever it tries to open the file picker dialog.Has anyone seen this behavior after a recent Windows update?Any ideas on how to fix or work around it?Thanks in advance!

In the version of cube mx 6.4.0 you can set parameters and advanced parameters, but in the version of cube mx 6.16.1 you can only select the chip in the platform setting in the LWIP in middleware. I configured the firmware by installing the KSZ8863RLLI LAN driver in the STM32F407VET6 MCU. Cube IDE used version 1.18.1. Ping test went well in the version of cube mx 6.4.0 and it doesn't work in the version of cube mx 6.16.1. Is there a way to do it in the version of cube mx 6.16.1? What are the problems?The 00.ETH file is the firmware created in the version of cube mx 6.4.0 and the 02.ETH_16.1 file is the firmware created in the version of cube mx 6.16.1

I was able to successfully build a TouchGFX demo project for a development board with clang+cmake using STM32CubeMX and STM32Cube plugin for VSCode. Although it required tweaking as it didn't work out of the box.Before ST officially supported clang I was able to build a simple blinky project using clang for arm and cmake and then analyze the code using clang-tidy. Reporting that this bug is sitll present in CubeMX v6.16.1Solved: We found a bug while using Hardware JPEG. - STMicroelectronics CommunityStill JPEG_SWAP_RG, not JPEG_SWAP_RB.I wish there would be user defined section in jpeg_utils.conf.h to workaround it.And there's another bug:Every time I regenerate code, CubeMX erases Utilities/JPEG folder. So the package code has to be manually restored.
