STM32 MCUs Software development tools

Hey ho everyone I'm a Noob with all this, just surface level knowledge.I'm on Linux ((Ny)arch btw.) newest version. First everything worked switched boot mode (cant remember if boot 1 or 0 as no combination works now) and i could connect. Then i wanted to test 5V pins and out of laziness i shorted +5V with and LED. Had an error on the power status, repluged and everything worked again (proceeded testing pins without shorting). suddenly a few days ago i had the dev connect error solved it via boot 0 and 1 both to the right on the next day suddenly not even that worked. did a bit of switcheroo that worked until it suddenly didn't even with any position. tried reinstalling (MX, Prog and IDE) tried adding myself to the uucp group didn't work tried the whole procedure as root but Nyarch wouldn't let me open my files and i simply was to lazy to do it via CMD. now i have sometimes the problem with DEV_CONNECT_ERR in any boot position and sometimes it just tells me UR connection mode

I am developing with STM32CubeMX and generating initialization code for an STM32N6 device. In my FSBL (First Stage Boot Loader), I use USART10 to connect to the ST-LINK V3’s Virtual COM Port (VCP). However, it seems that CubeMX does not correctly generate the peripheral clock initialization code for USART10.After a series of investigations, I found that when generating USART10’s clock initialization code, only the kernel clock for USART10 is set to IC14, but the PLL source and divider for IC14 are missing. This happens with both LL and HAL libraries. For USART6, there is no such problem — its clock configuration is generated correctly.This behavior is very strange. Hi,I'm using the NUCLEO-U083RC board.I wish to use the TOUCHSENSE library on STM32U083 (or STM32U073) that has the TSC, but STM32CUBEMX 6.16.1 doesn't allow me to enable it.Why ?

I am using STM32CubeMX 6.16.1 to generate project with external Flash loader for STM32N6. When I generate for STM32CubeIDE and build the extmemloader then STM32CubeProgrammer can parse it (the .elf renamed to .stldr). But when I generate CMake project and build with vscode (with STM32 extensions) then STM32CubeProgrammer fails to parse. Compiler/linker removes the StorageInfo structure from output completely. I fooled it to keep it. Now it doesn't fail immediately, but still can't parse any info either.Here's the CubeProgrammer EL list view. First is vscode built loader, second is Eclipse built:

I want to create a new expansion pack. During adding the bundles and components I've got a problem to leave the "Subgroup" empty.Using a dash "-" will be able to apply the component but it raises an validation error during "save and pack". Editing an old expansion package ( I had made a few years ago) , the Subgroup is still optional. What kind of "switch" makes the Subgroup as mandatory?

Dear ST Support Team,We are using the STM32N657X0H3Q1 microcontroller with the XSPI1 interface and have connected two external memory devices, each with an 8-bit data bus.As described in the STM32N6 reference manual (XSPI dual-octal configuration), the two 8-bit memories are connected in parallel and together form a 16-bit wide external memory interface, sharing a single NCS signal.In STM32CubeMX, what we have configured the XSPI peripheral as attached below.And XSPI clock we set as 140mhz.Could you please confirm whether this STM32CubeMX configuration is correct? If there are any additional settings or recommended , kindly let us know.

Not always, but sometimes syscalls.c file is removed upon generating code for X-CUBE-AI middleware.I'm using STM32N6570-DK board and the version of STM32CubeMX is 6.16.1 for Windows 11.

I downloaded CubeMX and I followed the instructions on the attached Readme.html.I run it by ctrl-click and then select Open to mark the author as trusted, but then nothing happens. Does anyone encountered the same problem? How did you solve it?

Hello, I'm having trouble getting the CubeMX code generation to work reliably with X-CUBE-AI package.After first adding X-CUBE-AI to the project, and adding one of the models from the ST model zoo, i get this warning:If i click Yes, the code generation takes about 5 minutes and works.Note that in the above picture, X-CUBE-AI ExtMemLoader is selected. It is very inconvenient to have regenerated C files in C++ project.Problem is not main.c only, *_it.c as well. In C++ project one have to call methods of class from interrupt handlers.It is not possible to make directly from *_it.c. Indirect call chain is lost of time.I renamed main.c to main.cpp in C++ project, made call from main.cpp to method of class. All is OK.Flashed microcontroller with main.cpp, all is working.ST done great work to support C++. And made it useles by generating new code to C files. Why not to generate code in C++ project to CPP files? 

Hi,I have some CubeMX-generated code which works properly. Originally it was created to run from default address 0x08000000.Now I have a bootloader at address 0x08000000 which is responsible for handling updates and other stuff and then jumps into the target-code, so I moved that code via linker script to 0x08020000. I am trying to use the gprof editor/viewer within cubeide but it doesn't work, everything just freezes then crashes with no error messages, i also found nothing in the logsI'm trying to use gprof profiling arm-none-eabi-gprof.exe, i have my code instrumented and got a valid gmon.out file, it is small ~15kb, the file is valid as i can process is manually with gprof.exe and get a textual representation of the profiling data.However i don't want text output, i want the included viewer in the cubeide, to see in a nice tree view the data, i have the option to open the gmon.out file with the gprof editor but when i do, it asks for the corresponding elf file then after that everything freezes then crash. What am i doing wrong? I'm trying to configure DMA in Memory-to-Peripheral mode for the STM32WB09KE, specifically to transfer data from memory to a Timer channel (TIM2_CH3 for Addressable LED's). However, in STM32CubeMX, I cannot see the expected DMA options under the DMA Settings tab for my Timer. 

With CubeIDE 1.x iterative development is simple1 Start CubeIDE and create new project. It is possible to select C++ project option at project start (without any effect)2 With Device Configuration Tool create initial perifery config. It is possible to open second windows for it and have two separate windows side by side. Generate code.3 Switch to first window and work with generated code4 If need new device, switcn to second window, add new device, config it and generate code.5 In first window regenerated code is created in sync with Configuration Tool. Convenient and logical steps. Great work!How iterative development can be done with CubeIDE 2.0?

Can multiple versions of a software be installed on one computer or system? The latest version I recently downloaded doesn't include MX. Should I install version 1.19.0, or use the uninstallation method for version 2.0.0?
