STM32 MCUs

Hi,I'm starting to try things with the new N6 MCU serie using the NUCLEO-N657X0-Q devboard on STM32 CubeIDE 1.18.0.I'm pretty confused with the new .ioc project configuration and the possibility to configure my board on "FSBL" or "App".I generated a first project and I'm surprised to see that 2 subproject have been generated in my folder:- myProject_Appli-myProject_FSBLBecause I don't want to use FSBL my first idea is to code in Appli but the first thing I see is that there is no SystemClock_Config(); in my main().I can directly see the effect of this because for exemple my Timer Clock is limited to 64MHz while it is configured to 400Mhz in the Clock config menu of the .ioc.Is the solution just to copy/paste the SystemClock_Config(); that i can find in my

hi all, I am using STM32F733xx and i want to read the Vout i will be monitoring is between 1-5v, to read that i have used analogue pins PG13, PH3 ,PH2,PG14, PE2,PE3, PE6, PE4,PE5,PF1,PF0,PF2I already have the PCB so i cant change the design can anyone suggest any solution to this?Looking for some firmware based solution to this problem. Thanks in advance,Regards,Sal

Split from EEPROM Emulation: meaning of the VirtAddVarTab as this is a new question.The eeprom emulation in my simple trial sofware is working fine. The code is quite small.I tried to use this software inside a more complex program, larger than 64K, and the system hangs.From what I have understood only the first 16K are available for program with the suggested setup.It is possile to have a setup for eeprom that allows to use more flash program memory?

I want to write a program for a fresh (first time power applied to it so there is nothing in Flash) STM32G0B1 that executes in RAM, resets the nBOOT_SEL bit in the Option Bytes (to allow DFU Mode to be invoked when Flash has been written).  The reason why I want to execute in RAM is to avoid having to run a program that is loaded in Flash (and resets nBOOT_SEL as discussed above) which is loaded into Flash that requires a power cycle to restart so that DFU Mode can be enabled in the MCU to load the actual product firmware.  This is being done in manufacturing test, so avoiding a power cycle (which takes about a minute due to other hardware in the application) would be of advantage.  Could anybody point me to:A dfu-util statement that a bin file at a specific SRAM address and has execution continue from therePointers to how the application would be configured.  What I have found so far are:

Hi everyone,I am working on LoRa point-to-point communication using the STM32WLE5CCU6 and trying to run the PingPong example. However, I haven't been successful so far.I would appreciate any guidance on whether I need to modify any pin configurations or make changes to the PingPong example before uploading it to the MCU. I'm working on a bare-metal project using an STM32F407VET6 (generic “black board” from China - https://stm32-base.org/boards/STM32F407VET6-STM32-F4VE-V2.0.html). I'm trying to trigger ADC1 conversions using TIM2_TRGO (timer trigger output), but the ADC only works when using SWSTART. I've done extensive testing and debugging to isolate the problem. I am trying to code the stm32h743 for spi communication and i can't seem to transmit. I am using PA5 as SCK and PD7 as MOSI. Not a bug as such, but a nuisance none the less, and likely to catch out those less familiar with the quirks of H7 Ethernet MAC DMA...If you set up Ethernet and LwIP the way that is recommended (and partially done by STM32CubeMX), with the Ethernet transmit and receive descriptors, receive buffer and LwIP memory pools within Ethernet DMA reachable RAM (RAM D2, 0x30000000 ...), then for the most everything sort of works.If you use the LwIP sockets API, then it also works as the sockets API copies data to be sent on a socket into LwIP buffers, ensuring that data is in Ethernet DMA reachable memory.BUT, if you use the netconn API, which is much faster and lighter weight than the sockets API, functions like netconn_write do not copy socket send data.  It makes it all the way to the Ethernet driver as zero copy, which is nice.  Unfortunately, it is likely that the sent data is on the stack of the calling process, or the general heap.  Which makes it no

Posted on November 26, 2015 at 17:56Hi,I'm experiencing a very bad behavior of HRTIM.if output set register is set on Period and output reset register is reset on CMP1.if CMP1 = 0x20, the PWM output is a narrow pulse as expected. but if the CMP1 < 0x20 the output go to active state. The duty cycle goes to near zero to 100%. This is very bad!the section 10.3.6 of the RM0364 states that:if the set and reset events are generated within same HRTIM clock period, the reset event has the highest priority and the set event is ignored. But what is happening is the opposite of it.Someone else noticed this issue before or I'm missing something?

Hi,Thanks in advance for your attention.I'm wondering if any examples are available about transmit and receive raw ethernet frames.The examples in STM32CubeH5 use the TCP/IP stack NetXDuo and transmit packets built on the upper layers of the stack and pass received packets to the upper layers.How could I transmit/receive single raw ethernet frames to handle a custom layer 2 protocol?Comparing with what is done by NetXDuo:In transmission (as in _nx_driver_hardware_packet_send) I could build the ETH_BufferTypeDef with the next pointer to NULL and send a single buffer?In reception (as in _nx_driver_hardware_packet_received) in HAL_ETH_ReadData, the HAL_ETH_RxLinkCallback must be implemented to chain all received packets from the Rx Descriptors? Is not possible to receive and process a single ethernet frame? It's confusing to me... And what is the purpose of HAL_ETH_RxA

Hello, I made a custom board using the STM32C031K4T6. I have tried several times now to connect to the chip using STM32 Cube IDE and the STM32 Programmer, both didn't work. The ST-Link gets recognized. I have tried different combinations regarding the Boot0 pin and the reset pin but I can't get it to work. I get the error message that no target was found. I also attached the schematic for the board.

Is there a way I can control a motor using serial communication, with custom commands that I define myself

stm327f46g, new to development. All I did was create a basic design which compiles correctly but the moment I enable DAC when configuring modules in the IDE it seems to mess up TouchGFX where I get a white screen 

I have a raw dataset in header file; I have to do some post processing with it ; So How can I get it done with USART by plotting the waveform .even After Configuring USART2 and UCPD with CDC also I dont find USART is detected; If I Am wrong Correct me and How to approach this?  

Hi, I'm using a B-G431B-ESC1 to control a drone motor. My motor draw around 300W at maximum power. I have done a FOC firmware with Motor Workbench and it works very good with the load (propeller). I use sensor less speed feedback.But when I remove the propeller and try to control the motor, it start to turn and after around one second, it do a very bad noise and stop with a speed feedback error. The read speed is around 7000rpm, but in fack it was around 250rpm.When I have the propeller the sensor less speed sensing is very precise.Do you have some ideas to help me ? Thanks :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: 

I want to add the STM32 sequencer utility (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Utility:Sequencer) into my STM32L072 project.I have downloaded the STM32Cube_FW_L0_V1.12.3 package for STM32L0 but there is no "sequencer" folder for the utility. Besides, there is no option in STM32CubeMX to add the sequencer utility.Where can I find the STM32 sequencer utility for STM32L0?Thanks! 

Custom board will not run without debugger.  With debugger removed and cycling power I have manually touch NRST to ground to get it to run.The NRST is only connected to SWD pin, but when debugger is removed it is not connected.  Theis is no ST-LINK on the board.  The NRST does measure 3.3 volts after power up.I do use BOOT0 pin as an output.  It is configured low with pull down in .IOC  (could this be issue?)Debugger is set to hardware reset, but I have tried all resets. Debugger is set to break at main (not sure if it is trying to break at main without debugger attached?)  I tried to not break at main and will not run with or without debugger.I also put HAL_DELAY(3000); after Hal_init(),  no difference.Here is how my clocks are set:

Hi everyone, I started to work with G4 series. Everything was smooth with Nucleo 431RB board until I made a custom pcb withSTM32G473RE. Code is working very well after loading, debug also fine. but when I unplug the stlink and give the circuit a power off/on code doesn't start until I give it a reset with reset button. then it works fine. I created my projects via CubeMX I saw NRST pin is a regular GPIO and there is no configuration to set it as NRST. So I leave it in Reset State. Does anybody stumble across similar problem? or any idea what might I do wrong? Even simple led blink has same results. Any help will be most appreciated.Best regards,Zeki
