STM32 MCUs

Hello,After some investigation was found that memset has different behavior executed from different places in flash. Data and instruction cache are off! Micro used is stm32h743xi.Function is called with following arguments --> memset(dummy, 0, 64)Its execution time is ~5us when function is placed at:..., 0x8040c34, 0x8040c54, 0x8040c74, ...Its execution time is ~1us when function is placed at:..., 0x8040c3c, 0x8040c44, 0x8040c4c , 0x8040c5c, 0x8040c64, 0x8040c6c ...Any ideas?Thanks

We are experiencing issues when using system bootloader on STM32H7 MCUs. Enter to the bootloader is correct - when BOOT0 pin is held high and reset is performed, MCU enters system bootloader. We use USB DFU for communication with bootloader and PC can recognize DFU device correctly, we can connect, perform FW update. However when trying to jump to the application the issue appears:with STM32H743 rev Y (bootloader version 0xD2) jump to application works with addresses 0x8008ACC or 0x8000123with STM32H753 rev V (bootloader version 0x90) jump to application doesn't work with any addressFrom the program counter read-out it seems that MCU is stucked in system bootloader at address 0x1FF0AAF0, however DFU device disappears from Device manager. The idea is to be able to run the application without need to perform manual reset of MCU. What could be the issue? Thank you in advance

Hello all.Personal emotional outburst (just jump it if you don't work for stm):I can't understand how it's possibile, but every single time I trust STM and go for an update, everything stops working and I have to loose hours of my life trying to fix it up.I am totally annoyed and I will never, ever, not even for money, use again stm in my projects or suggest stm to someone else. This is now starting to be ridicolous, it is the fifth time at least in the last three years that we are facing this problems with the STM cube IDE, programmer and touchGFX designer. Hello nice people. I am supposed to develop a board that will have 2 STM MCUs (STM32F334 and STM32F01).Is it anyways possible to be able to program both MCUs (simultaneously or individually) using a single SWD port. I know how to do it using JTAG chain (TDI -> TDO .....) but i don't know if it is also possible using SWD. Asking because many new processors don't support JTAG anymore but only SWD. THe aim is to use one programming port for both MCUs because of space restrictions.Thanksasrar

I'm using the internal temp sensor on a C011 chip *actually the STM32C0116 dev board) and trying to  get an approximate reading in C, using __LL_ADC_CALC_TEMPERATURE_TYP_PARAMS macro.I understand that this won't be very accurate, but it seems that when I use the T_CAL1 value stored in ROM the result actually gets significantly worse. I've been trying to update touchgfx display from values obtained from canbus. I dont know what the problem is but when touchgfx and canbus configured together, i get bus errors.I have attached my project files. Any help would be appreciated. I have made a task called CAN_TX_chc that has higher priority than touchgfx task.CAN_TX_chc task sends data to the Txfifo and then osDelays for 500ms.If theres a better implementation, or a way to solve this issue. I am controlling BLE server using stm32wba54cgu6 chip and CubeIDE 1.18.0.1. In order to use extended advertising function, what part should I set in CubeMx?2. I think that adv_ext_app.c / adv_ext_app.h file should be created to use extended advertising. What setting should I make in CubeMx so that adv_ext_app.c / adv_ext_app.h are created? Hi,I'm aware of the BOOT0 pin which is available on most STM32 MCUs and allows to select the device being booted from Flash.Now my problem is, once shipped to an end user, this flash can't be updated easily. So it would be better to have a more simple possibility to update this firmware. In my setup, there is an other micro-controller available which commands and controls that STM32 MCU. No my idea is, to load the STM32-program from this controller to the RAM of the STM32 MCU and then start this dynamically loaded firmware.So...is this possible? Can I download some code to an STM32 MCU and then start it via some internal boot-selection.-function?  Or do I have to do some hacks for my own?Any ideas and suggestions are welcome :)Thanks!

I'm using USART1 for RS485 communication (both transmit and receive), and I’m facing a strange issue with the baud rate.At 19200 baud and below, everything works fine.When I try baud rates above 19200 (e.g., 38400, 57600, 115200), communication stops working—either I don't receive data correctly or nothing is transmitted.I'm using RS485 transceiver hardware, and the direction control is handled properly (I’ve verified the DE pin timing).On the other hand, USART2 works perfectly at all baud rates, including 115200.Things I've tried:Checked system clock settings.Verified USART1 ini

Hello :)I'm trying to get the mentioned display expansion board working with my NULCEO board. I already downloaded the X-DISPLAY examples and found a configured ioc file for an H723 so I replicated all the settings to match my H745 one.Unfortunately the software fails already with a call to BSP_LCD_Init() -> LCD_Probe() which then tries to read the ID from the st7789v which returns something else than expected and then goes into the error handler. Also there's no datasheet for the display I don't know if the ID I'm getting is something else valid or just garbage.I've CubeMX version 6.12 but the X-DISPLAY software packs highlights it's only compatible with version 6.7 to 6.8. So maybe that's also an issue?At the moment I've absolutely no idea how to investigate this issue further. My expectations were that it's easier to setup ST hardware when they're listed as compatible.Thanks for your help in advance.

I am using the STM32H743VIT and trying to integrate using LTDC. The Display Type options in CUBEMX only allow 16 or 18 bit RGB. I know there is no LTDC_R0, so I assume that is why there is not option for 24 bit RGB; however, we were just planning on tying the LSB R value low to work around this issue. Is there any information on how to set this MCU up for 24bit RBG even though CUBEMX does not allow it? Thank youEDIT: I am using the 100 pin LQFP package

There is no external display controller – the STM32 is driving the display directly.ProblemThe display works and renders correctly using custom drivers, but the refresh/update speed is very slow, especially when trying to render large bitmaps or full-screen updates. This is the output from an UPS inverter. they are driving signals of four mosfets of H-Bridge. I can generate same signals using stm32f103 advanced motor conotrol timer(TIM1). center aligned pwm and complimentary output with maximum 20us dead time.The problem is, stm32f103 cant give more than 20us dead time. But i need 100us for my project.Is there any other way to generate these signals ?Thanks

Hi, I would like to use the MDMA with the QSPI on an STM32H743 or similar.I need to use the QSPI to interface with several multiplexed LCD displays and I want to use the QSPI in 'indirect' mode to send commands to the displays and DMA the pixel data into the QSPI to transfer to the display.I am a bit confused about how the MDMA is supposed to work - the reference manual says that QSPI can trigger the MDMA when the QSPI data FIFO reaches a threshold.So I think I would use MDMA in 'buffer' transfer with TRGM = 00 - so each trigger from the QSPI transfers a buffers worth of data (to fill the QPSI FIFO), then configure the MDMA channel to run in 'block repeat' mode to transfer a whole frame buffer's worth of data (about 285 kB)Am I thinking along the right lines here? The documentation for the MDMA seems pretty terse I don't know if I've understood it correctly.But most importantly, how do I a
