I am programming a Nucleo-STM32H563ZI and get a problem while trying to get subseconds value in RTC. Hello,Recently we switched to STM32G0B1RCT6 MCU from STM32G071 MCU.We have ported the project to the new MCU. But while doing reprogramming via UART from STM32 systembootloader we are always getting timeout error (Activating KO) in cube programmer.We could reprogram older MCU via UART. after searching for a while, we found that the new MCU supports supports CAN FD and USB DFU on some of the existing pins.  In the PCB design these pins have been used for different purposes. So, we cannot modify hardware design.We believe there is no problem with CAN FD pins. But we suspect the USB pins DFU mode. because when we pull down them or connect these pins to GND there is some response from MCU when we try to connect to it via UART with STM32 Cubeprogrammer.So, Is there a way to avoid using other interfaces like USB-DFU or CAN FD etc. and only use UART for re-programming in STM32 system bootloader.we really appreciate help here.Thanks

Hi, I want to use a USB with USB-C connector and STM32F427 mostly as a HOST for USB mass storage, but it has to be able to switch to device, works as serial port. A 5V can be applied to the USB by a power switch for a HOST mode, and can be detected with a resistor divider and STM's VBUS pin in both modes. What I am wondering is a power delivery. I do not want to use an additional PD controller. Is it possible to use simple pullups/pulldowns resistors on CC pins? Do I have to switch them eg. by a transistors, to connect PU in host mode and PD in device mode? Maybe someone did it already and can suggest simple solution. Marcin

Hi.A custom board was built using the STM32H753XI. The board contains 16MB SDRAM and we want to use it with an LTDC to display a screen on a TFT-LCD.I used the embedded wizard to create the UI and verified that it displays correctly on the LCD screen.However, flickering occurs on the LCD when the screen is switched or parts of the screen change.I rechecked the clock, SDRAM, LTDC settings, etc. but couldn't find the cause.I've attached the datasheets for the parts I used as files. 1. hello, I'm tring to configure STM32F103RCT6 to interface a codec with I2S. I use a 8MHz external crystal as HSE, in the clock configuration page, the I2S clock is direct connect to SYSCLK and cannot be adjusted. the selected audio frequency is 48KHz, the real audio frequency shows 46.875KHz and -2.34% error.the question is, how can I configure the clock so there's no error between selected and real, and also can output a I2S_MCK with 12.288MHz to the codec? Hello Team, I am trying to implement a bootloader for stm32f769 controller, My bootloader code resides in sector 0 and application code in sector 5. But I am not able to jump from bootloader code to application code. While creating new project and initialising the peripherals in default mode , even after doing these the pins are not getting declared default

Hi STM community, I have interfaced an st7701s driver IC-based display with stm32h747 chip using MIPI DSI in RGB565 mode and using only the internal SRAM(512KB) of stm32 as the frame buffer(2*480*480 Bytes) but the display framebuffer looks like starting from the middle of the screen. In the video, a while loop is executing only updating the frame buffer with the same color after 1 second. What could be the problem, I have tried multiple configurations of LTDC and DSI timings and layer configurations. Hallo, I have to use shadow registers (PREEN=1) in HRTIM slave timers. I have decided to use following configuration: UPDGAT = 0110: the update occurs on the update event following a rising edge of HRTIM update enable input 1 (hrtim_upd_en1) to perfectly synchronise registry update after software command.   I want to evoke "hrtim_upd_en1" directly from software. I hope that TIM16.EGR registry should allow it exclusively, even without running TIM16 counter. Am I wrong?

Hello ST community, I'm working on an interface board based on STM32F412 to send CAN frame from a computer using USB communication. For the moment I'm doing some tests with the CDC stack and the default ST's USB virtual com port driver on Windows 10. My test software is simple, when I receive something from the USB, I send 'OK' to the host. I do nothing more. It takes around 100ms to get an answer from the STM32, which is too slow for my application (I aim for delays between 1ms and 10ms).

HelloI am trying to powerup external 8MHZ crystal on STM32F407VET6 MCU but it is completely dead. I run the LED bliking program using HSI, and it is working sucussfully. Hi Community!My goal is to capture an bmp image with the resolution of 640x480. But to check first if the camera is correct connected and works perfectly, I'm trying to take a JPEG image.I've successfully connected my Nucleo-L4A6ZG with an Adafruit development board and I am able to communicate with the OV5640 Camera on it. I've managed basic tasks like reading the camera's ID and altering some settings. I want to take a 640x480 resolution picture. However, I'm encountering a challenge while receiving images: although I can detect the JPEG header and end during receiving it, but in the FrameBuffer the JPEG end marker isn't identifiable.I'm unsure about the root cause of this issue. It might be related to how the data is being captured or processed. Additionally, I'm a bit uncertain about the optimal clock settings for this setup. Posted on March 11, 2016 at 03:09I have two chips, a master and a slave, both STM32F429.  The master is using the internal HSI as a PLL clock source.  The master is outputting a 16 MHz signal that the slave is using as a PLL clock source through HSE bypass.The NRST lines of both chips are tied together and when I pull NRST low for 100ms, I expect a system reset on both chips, with both of them booting up nicely afterwards.  What I'm actually seeing is the master chip boot up just fine, but the slave chip gets stuck and fails to boot up.  By this I mean that it stops doing what it was doign (blinking LEDs among other things) and also fails to boot up (which I notice by the LEDs not blinking), even when the HSE clock source is present again.I assume that taking away the HSE clock source at the same time I'm pulling NRST low is causing the hangout here.  I've noticed that holding NRST low for ~

Hello, 2 MEMS microphones share a common Clock (PB3, ADF1_CCK0) and Data (PB4, ADF1_SDI0) of a STM32U585QI.Using ADF the PDM signal is processed successfully. It processes either the data of the either falling or rising edge depending on setting Init.FilterBistream to MDF_BITSTREAM0_FALLING or MDF_BITSTREAM0_RISING.For the second microphone an MDF1_Filter0 instance is used. It is used with the same Init and Config data as the ADF instance.For ADF an MDF the calls to HAL_MDF_Init HAL_MDF_AcqStart are both successful.But then HAL_MDF_PollForAcq is only sucessful or ADF, but for the MDF instance it always returns HAL_TIMEOUT.Does the MDF need to be configured differently? How must the ADF and MDF be configured to use both MEMS microphones with shared data and clock?Does the MDF require other clock divisors?I checked the examples in

I'm encountering difficulties modifying option bytes on an STM32H723VEH6 microcontroller using a custom C# bootloader. Hi all,I created a dual core project for STM32H745 Disco board. I'm using the cubeIDE and I said "yes" to set all peripheral to their default values. I wonder which core (CM4 or/and CM7) is booting and which was not. The reference manual (RM0399) says that this depends on the settings of BCM4, BCM7, BOOT_C1 and BOOT_C2. But BCM4 and BCM7 show "X" as the reset value.Looking at the actual code in each main file it looks like both cores are booting. CM4 sets a semaphore and goes to sleep waiting for CM7 to configure the system clock (SystemClock_Config()) and release the semaphore to enable CM4 to continue to run.Is this correct? What are the reset values for BCM4 and BCM7? Can the system clock be configure in CM4 instead of CM7?Thanks.

I'm using the STM32G071C8U7 microcontroller for AC-DC converter, and despite calibrating the ADC and obtaining mostly accurate measurements for all sampled channels, there is an inherent noise problem. When shorting one ADC channel to ground, I can't achieve a 0 count reading. Instead, the ADC measured value varies by 3 counts, occasionally spiking even higher. This issue persists across multiple boards (non-dev boards), causing concern as the signal is vital for closed-loop control.In the initial implementation, the ADC runs at a 12 MHz clock frequency, triggered every 15 us. 5 channels are sampled using a sequencer with a sample duration of 3.5 ADC clocks, totaling 6 PCLK. In this MCU, the VREF+ pin is external and I have it connected directly to the VDD/VDDA pin. I am aware of 3 major noise-contributing factors in ADC measurements: power supply, reference voltage, and external measurement circuitry. According to datasheet it is listed as Additional functions (not Alternate) USB_DM and USB_DP. It is not clear how to configure these GPIO for USB functionality. If they are not Alternate functions so how can I reach desired functionality?We are not using Standard Peripheral Library. I need explanation in terms of GPIO port registers.Thanks.

Hi,    I am using STM32F407VET6 MCU and trying to receive data using LL API LL_USART_ReceiveData8 over USART configured as modbus.   I confirmed USART transmit (LL_USART_TransmitData8) is successful through an modbus APP, on rx side of the other device as well as fact  that LL_USART_IsActiveFlag_TC is returning True.  I also confirmed other receiving device also sending a 8 byte response back. (Confirmed via Modbus app)  But on the STM32F407VET6 MCU side I am just receiving 1 byte of data.    Note - If I don't insert delay (LL_mDelay) I only get first byte, if I add delay I only get

I am using STM32H753ZI for my project. My use case is I want to detect brown out reset after brownout occurs and system restarts.I am checking brownout reset flag using if (__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_BORRST). My query is this flag is shared/common between Power On Reset and Brown Out Reset i.e POR/PDR or BOR same as like in STM32F779NI?

Hi,I am using STM32H743II microcontroller. In which  communicating with external SRAM with FMC. It is working fine.I need to communicate with the touch LCD IC via I2C. There is no problem in communication when FMC is not active. I am reading the touch coordinates properly. However, when FMC is active, none of the I2C ports on the stm32 work. I tried all I2C1-I2C4 ports one by one. I set the I2C pins not used by FMC. When I scan HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady, the I2C address of the integrated circuit does not appear. I cannot communicate with the IC. Why does I2C not work with FMC?
