I'm trying, unsuccessfully, to get a simplest single-channel single-ended polling-the-ADC example going on the nucleo h723 eval board.At first I started bare-metal in assembler from the datasheet, but couldn't get the second ADC sample to fire no matter what register gymnastics I did (the first ADSTART puts some bits in the DR, I figure that did something to the analog input).Then, figuring I'm still not setting up clocks right or something, I reverted to STM32CubeIDE and followed various HAL tutorials such as this one; same outcome.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uiO68pdjZAThis particular ADC seems more involved than the simple ones usually covered in tutorials. Using an Advanced Timer (Timer 1 in STM32H743ZI) in PWM One-Shot mode, and using the Repetition Counter, I generate a string of 5 pulses. For each pulse, I generate a Capture/Compare Interrupt and have a CallBack routine (using "HAL_TIM_PulseFinishedCallBack(...)". This works fine.I have also enabled the Update Interrupt for Timer 1 and expected it to service that routine at the completion of the 5 pulses as well but it does not. The code for the Interrupt is generated in the stm32h7xx_it.c file "(void TIM1_UP_IRQHandler(void))" but execution does not appear to reach it. Both Timer 1 Capture/Compare and Update Interrupts are enabled in the NVIC. I am using "void HAL_TIM_Period_ElapsedCallback(...)" as the call back routine for the Update Interrupt.How do I get the Update Interrupt to work?

Hi,When I set the clock source of SYSCLK to HSI, I can get the 1 ms timer from TIM2. However, when I set the source of SYSCLK to PLLCLK, I can't get 1 ms timer from TIM2. Why? (The MCU is STM32F407VETx) I would appreciate any help. *Edit : The problem was solved.

Hi,I want to put the USB bus into SUSPEND/RESUME state, currently I'm using gState in USBH_HandleTypeDef to manually put the device into HOST_SUSPENDED state and similarly to move to the Idle state I'm manually assigning gState to be HOST_IDLE.With this approach I'm able to move to suspend state, I have verified the same on oscilloscope, there is no bus activity in SUSPEND stateIssue with this approch is if we move from suspend to ideal state and back to suspend state we can't go to ideal state and we are stuck in the suspend state, I have called MX_USB_HOST_INIT() before making USB state=idle but its stuck in some state or its not getting enumerated againCan anyone suggest any other way or why this is happening? Thanks

To Andrew, SofLi Hy Andrew and SofLi. I well received your last informations posted this week-end. Therefore it was week-end. I test a NUCLEO board without ST-link; my computer is a Mac-mini and the NUCLEO board offers capabilities to be separate in to part, the ST-link microcontroller and the targeted microcontroller, enabling to reduce power consumption on plant. Bootloader offer capability to read and write any address in address space; then I think the simply way to give you understable informations it's to give you an excell file with the list of my search. "Hello, I'm currently working with the FDCAN module on the STM32H747I-DISCO board. I've successfully configured both FDCAN modules in the M7 core, and they are working as expected. However, when attempting to configure them in the M4 core independently, I encounter issues – the FDCAN modules do not work reliably. Interestingly, if I first call the Init and Start functions for both FDCAN modules in the M7 core, then the modules in the M4 core start working. Nevertheless, this behavior is inconsistent. Can anyone provide insights into what might be causing this issue ? Thank you!"

I received a recommendation for the U5 series for its low power consumption for medical patient monitors. As a beginner, my experience is limited to the F446RE and H743 Nucleo boards. I chose the STM32F769-DISC0 for its ease of use and integrated display, primarily for testing purposes. My initial goal is to display ECG waveforms(ads1298 module) and eventually integrate a thermal printer(fijistu 8inch). I'm seeking guidance on whether this board can support these functions, including connecting to an external 1280x720 display and handling touchgfx or 1080p is limited means can it be easily handle 10' 1080p display of mipi dsi and able to print ecg waveform . Also, is it feasible to use external memory with this board without limitations?I appreciate any advice you can provide as I'm eager to learn and progress in this project.Best regards, Vishwah (R&D Dept. 

CUBEMX, STM32G473 MCU is used.LIN communication worked well when using STM32F103, but after replacing only the MCU on the PCB board, LIN communication does not work.When the MCU was replaced, the HAL_Delay() function did not work,'#define USER_VECT_TAB_ADDRESS' I uncommented this statement and it worked fine.Did uncommenting this syntax affect LIN communication?When designing with CUBEMX, the STIMF103 board and Clock Configuration were designed identically. This image is CUBEMX Current LIN settings. If there is anything wrong, please provide a solution.

Hi,I am working with STM32G4.I am communicating with STM32G4 with other controller through  UART interrupt communication. The data is transmitting and receiving between stm32g4 and other mcu. I am writing to an SD card using the Adafruit_Shield BSP library on the STM32L4R5ZI Nucleo board.  I had it writing 10 values, from 0x00 to 0x09 but the second byte (with a value of 0x01) was getting corrupted as set to 0x00.  I changed the array so it was set to start at 0x01 and end with 0x0A and instead of it being the second byte that was corrupted, it was the first byte, which was now 0x01. I reran the same test starting at 0x02 and all the data came through correct.  My takeaway was there's an issue if value 0x01 is used within the first x number of bytes (not sure what that number is or the reason for it).  To test this further, I made the buffer 512 bytes starting with 0x00 but changed the array location 216 (arbitrary) to 0x01 to see if it would be corrupted there as well.  Byte 2 (0x01) was changed to 0x00 but byte 216 was still 0x01.  I was feeling more confident that that might've been the prob

Hi all,    Working on STM32H745: when enabling the M4 at M7 main(), the 'D2 domain' SRAMs (1,2,3) are being reset, causing issue, as the M7 and the OS are using these SRAMs, prior of the M4 enable (RCC register). Is there any option not to reset the SRAM at the M4 enable?Tried to remove the D2 SRAM from the M7 linker file, but then had insufficient memory...Thanks in advance :)Rolf

I had a board assembled through JLCPCB, which included mounting an STM32L071. When the PCB arrived, I loaded a program with a blinking LED in an infinite loop. Unfortunately, the program didn't behave as expected, and during debugging, I encountered what is shown in the image.However, when I load the same program onto another board with an STM32 from Farnell, everything works as it should. This made me wonder if the MCU might be a clone. How can I tell? What does the error actually mean? Could it have a different vector table? I can step through a few lines, but once the program is running, I can't pause it to see where the program currently is.

Setup:I am developing an application where the Nucleo-144 board sits in a cabinet adjacent to a computer. The Nucleo-144 board is powered externally via a 12v power supply. I have selected this with the vin jumper and confirmed that JP2 is bridging pins 3-4. Finally, within the cabinet, the nucleo-144 board controls if the computer gets AC power via a relay. In addition to this relay, I need to be able to talk to the computer via serial to echo some messages and display power supply updates. There is a small daughter board we have designed that sits on top of the Nucleo-144 board that controls the relay as well as a power button (what we are triggering the relay with) and a pwm signal.The problem:The problem starts when I plug in a USB from the computer to the STLINK-V3E USB Micro-B connector (CN1) on the Nucleo-144 board. STM32G051C8Tx: I am having issue setting up the global interrupt on I2C1. I am not able to find the EXTI 23 in the STM32CubeMx. It only shows up to EXTI 15. 

I am trying to design a digital SMPS with an STM32G0.ST has lots of literature stating that the comparators can be used to control the duty cycle of the PWM from a timer.I understand the use of a comparator to detect a fault and output to the BKIN input of the timer, but they mention "ETR" being used for "zero cross detection" to turn the timer back on.It seems to me like what they're implying is that rather than implementing the control loop in software, the comparators can simply bounce the timer back and forth to regulate the output. If this is the case, why is a timer involved?I must be misunderstanding.Are there any "standard practices" for using comparators to implement performant and safe SMPS?Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

I designed a board that uses the STM32G431C6 and is intended to connect in a chain with other similar boards, but I am having problems when powering them up. They turn on and work fine sometimes, but sometimes boards won't turn on. Each board I designed includes a voltage regulator that steps down 5V to 3.3V to power the STM32G4. I added a jumper between the voltage regulator and the STM32G4 for testing purposes. When observing the Vdd traces, they always turn on correctly at 3.3V. When using the benchtop power supply I can observed the voltage rise curve slow down. To avoid that, I turn on the power supply and then short the power wires with the power supply (+ to + and - to -) to jump start it. This seems to work but if I take out the jumper and put it back, the board wont turn on. Also, if I power multiple boards connected in chain, when disconnecting one from the chain and connecting it back the board wont power. Hi, I have a TFT screen that is using 3-wire 9-bit SPI (DC bit as 9th bit) has anyone got and experience or examples of this with HAL? I took the default STM32F101VFTx, enabled PB8 & PB9 as GPIO Output, and then tried to pull the pins low.  I am having an issue that caused me to create this isolated test.   Configurations, code, and scope on the pins below.  Repo for this test case is found at https://github.com/Octochi/GPIO_toggle_testI have checked for shorts to ground, power, and between the pins, all passed.  The MCU is otherwise operating normally on the board. I tried changing mode to open drain.  Shorting the test points to ground pulls them low (observed on waveforms).I'm not sure what I need to look at next to understand why these pins are stuck high.  Any help is appreciated!...

Hello,I am looking to develop with the STM32 microcontrollers for the first time and was hoping to get some help. I need to create a device capable of outputting 3 separate sawtooth waves that are individually controllable to synthesize audio based on user input. I was looking at the STM32G431K6T6 or something similar, as it has a development board, the NUCLEO-G431KB, and claims to have 4 DACs. I am confused about this however. It says that 2 DACs are external and 2 are internal. Does this mean that only 2 can be sent to external circuitry? Is there any way to get 3 observable and individually controllable waves out of this device? Also from what I've read, it seems that the way to create a sawtooth wave is to increment the DACs output and reset it with a timer. Since these timers are configured in STM32Cube with prescalers etc. is there a way to actually change the frequency of the DACs wave after the code is running?Would this maybe be eas
