I am working on STM32CubeIDE_2.1.0 after one week and suddenly it stopped showing create new STM32 Project. It is showing simply as in screenshot, I am unable to create new STM32 project. Thanks & RegardsChanchal

hi dear,I created a project by selecting CMake as the toolchain and ST-ARM-CLANG as the compiler using the STM32Cube extension for VS Code (3.7.0) on macOS. Attached below are my configuration settings.

Hi all!I'm handling project which use communicate RMII TCP/IP. if i set up CPU clock is 200Mhz as picture 1, the system run OK, i can ping network but my system require CPU clock is 400Mhz. if i set up CPU clock is 400Mhz, the connection between board and serve was intermitten. can you help to take alook and share me solution to set CPU clock 400Mhz and can run RMII.

I had a Windows account with a space in user folder name (between forename and surname). VScode was installed under AppData subfolder. As a result CMake generated paths like this into compile_commands.json:"command": "C:\\Users\\MIKKLE~1\\AppData\\Local\\STM32C~1\\bundles\\GNU-TO~2\\1431_S~1.2\\bin\\AR19DD~1.EXE -DDEBUG....Most of the things worked (compiling and debugging), but vscode highlighted that it can't find includes like these:#include <stdio.h>#include <assert.h>To be correct, clangd language server couldn't find them. Absence of these headers caused further errors. But when resolving other headers like stdint.h, clangd found them from st-arm-clangd bundle folder instead of compiler folder.The workaround was to add the very same shortened path as query driver into .vscode\settings.json: "--query-driver=C:\\Users\\MIKKLE~1\\AppData\\Local\\STM32C~1\\bundles\\GNU-TO~2\\1431_S~1

Upgraded STM32CubeIDE to 2.0.0 and struggling with issues!Installed CubeMX as a standalone program too. Now I'm confused how to create a STM32 project and as usual select C++ as the target language. 1- Should I start from the IDE? There'll be no .ioc file then!2- Should I start from CudeMX? There'll be no option to select C++ as the target language! How to fix it?My purpose is to keep main.c, create .hpp, .cpp files and include the header in main.c to be able to call the functions defined in the .cpp file.

Hello everyone,im trying to send a simple "Hello World" via UART to my Laptop and read in the PuTTY Terminal on my on NUCLEO-H7S3L8 Board, But i tried everything, i cant revieve anything!!! Tried every UART/USART Port in the CubeMX. Nothing on my other NUCLEO-F303RE worked it instantly. These are settings in the CubeMX. i Used USART3 and selected Pins PD8 and PD9. i connected the Board to my Laptop. Set the Baud Rate to 115200 and also looked up the correct COM Port. Using various STM32 MCUs, I have a intermittent bug occuring in malloc() where it returns a nonsensical address for no apparent reason.After hours of digging I managed to find some some source code for newlib from https://sourceware.org/newlib/for newlib-4.5.0.20241231 which at least let me step into the internals of malloc to try and find the problem but as thats a slightly different release to the one used by STM32CubeIDE the bug mutated to something less frequent.My main problem currently is trying to find an issue list \ bug tracker for newlib, so I can see what issues others are having with it. Usually I end up on a site like github and their issue tracker, which is great, but for newlib there seems to be a myraid of git repos and sourceware.org with primitive mailing lists, some being long in the tooth.It would also have helped if ST Micro indic

With Apple planning to deprecate Rosetta 2 after macOS Tahoe, I’d like to ask about the future of ST tools on macOS. As far as I understand, some of the current tools still rely on Rosetta, so this could become a problem for Apple Silicon users going forward.Are there any plans to provide native ARM versions of the ST tools? And for long-term use, would you recommend staying with the current `stlink-server`, or is it safer to start migrating to OpenOCD to avoid being blocked once Rosetta support is gone?Thanks!

Hello,I'm working with the STM32H7S7L8 -DK and I need for final product to program the external OCTOSPI flash via usb DFU.So using V2.20.0 Cube programmer i'm able to use external memory loader to read and program the flash using SWDBut using the USB i see the DFU  and before i select the good external memory laoder but when i click to connect i can only programm the internal flash of the STM32 when i try to read or program the OCTOSPI flash i have error.Do you have any ideasThanks

Basically continuation of https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeprogrammer-mcus/stm32cubeprogrammer-upload-fail-after-update-to-2-20/td-p/825113 - after fixing the hex to correctly span both the banks, upload error (using ST-Link) still persists. Firmware can be uploaded using USB bootloader, just the ST-LINK upload fails. It seems that this is a bug of the STM32CubeProgrammer.STM32CubeProgrammer v2.20.0.I attach the firmware hex. Hi,I would like to create a project with CubeMX where I handle files on a SD card with FAT Fs file system using a STM32U5 mcu.When I select the STM32U5 MCU in CubeMX  the FATFS middleware is not available, while If I select other MCUs series like STM32F for example the FATFS Middleware is available.I tried to find the FATFS software package to manually install it into CubeMX but I haven't found nothing.Is FATFS middleware available for STM32US MCUs for CubeMX ? Thanks for your help.  

I bought an ST-link V2 from amazon, this error occured, fearing it may be counterfeit, I then bought another St-link v2 from STM website itself so there is no way it is fake, but the same error still occured. I am on Mac M3 using Cubeprogrammer. There is utterly no documentation on this error. What do i do.

Hi, I have recently upodated STM32CubeIDE and have found that starting a new project doesn't generate a *.ioc file. I found a forum thread dated 7/2025 to a similar issue in versions 1.17-1.19 but the suggested work around menu options don't appear to be in v2.1.0. Any ideas? this is really annoying as I've got a 'journey to complet'e but I'm wasting my time getting the 'car to start'....
