I am using CubeCLT v1.18.0 on an Ubuntu host. I recently got a new J-Trace and ran into warnings about the firmware version not being recognized. I traced the root of the problem being the version of `libjlinkarm.so.7` that ships with this version of CubeCLT.  I need to upgrade to a newer version of the library to resolve the warning. I am already using J-Link v8.48 elsewhere, so I plan to follow this guidance from SEGGER to upgrade the so file. Should it be safe to do this upgrade from v7 to v8? I also noticed that SEGGER release v9.20 of J-Link and was considering going to that. I assume that would include a v9 so. Would that be safe to go to as well? I have a logistical question regarding how ST manages the shipped version of libjlinkarm. It looks like CubeProgrammer specifically expects `libjlinkarm.so.7`. Hello, In a paused debugging session, in the Run and Debug > Variables > Local list, if I right-click the varaible, the context menu has an item "Show in Memory Inspector".Clicking it opens the Memory Inspector, but with the name of the variable as the adress ( &(pRxData) for example), which the memory viewer cannot resolve into the actual address (0x20003DC0 for example). For this functionality to be most useful, I would expect either the Memory Inspector to be able to resolve the variable, or the command to open the Memory Inspector with the already-resolved address. Best regards,Nicolas

This had me stumped for a while - Thought I was going blind for a second LOL.PCLK1 and PCLK2 identifiers are missing from the clock tree diagram for the STM32H723.(They are present in the trees for F103, G431, F446 and F723). 

After generating the CMake project using STM32CubeMX (with the MCU being stm32f412ret6), how can FPU support be enabled in VSCode(STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code)?

Hello,Regarding CubeMX 6.17, I'm trying to configure a STM32N657 project from scratch.   I'm looking for the driver for the ASP256 SRAM memory chip found in various examples and the STM32N6570-DK discovery board.  If I search the "Software Packs" I can't seem to find the device listed there.  Are these files missing or am i looking in the wrong place?  I found them on Github here: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-aps256 but I figured that it should be available in CubeMX (or it would be nice if it was available).   If they are available from CubeMX, how do I extract and add the component to the project? ThanksMatt

 This time, my problem is not related to hardware or firmware.What happened was that when I closed Cube IDE during my lunch break, everything was normal... but when I came back and opened it again, the interface colors had changed, which I don't like, and personally, I find that appearance visually uncomfortable.As you can see in the attached image, the gray color where I write code seems to have a haze over it. How can I correct it so that it looks like a solid, dark tone like the part below? Thank you for your help. My eyes and I will greatly appreciate it.           

Hi,I wrote my own source file. It is located in the Core/Src directory. I have also entered it accordingly in cmakelists.txt.my cmakelists.txtNow I get an error saying that the include files from the Drivers directory are missing.

CubeMX does not generate .project and .cproject files for cubeIDE, when in CubeMX project it is selected to not use default firmware location, and path set to folder with STM32Cube FW from github. To reproduce:1 Open CubeMX2 Select File->New Project 3 Select chip,  in my case stm32g491ceu64 Open Project manager tab, enter name and location for the project, toolchain - stcubeide5 Uncheck "Use Default Firmware Location", Click Browse and navigate to a folder with github repository with cude FW package6 Go to "Code Generator" sub tab, select radio button "Add nevessary library files as reference in the toolchainproject configuration file"7 Click generate8 Observe folder content in the file explorer - .cproject and .project are missing. CubeMX version 6.16.1

After evaluating/flashing the SBSFU examples on the NUCLEO-G071RB evalboard it's not possible to erase full flash anymore. I get the error below. When I was using Keil and VSCode with the same piece of code, I found that I couldn't enter the ADC_DMA interrupt callback function when using VSCode. I was looking up the information and debugging in two software programs. I found that the address of the array where I stored the data was 0x20 in VSCode, while it was 0x24 in Keil. I attempted to adjust the array address to the correct one, but found that it couldn't be adjusted properly.If there is a solution, please let me know. Thank you.

Hello ST Community, I am working on an ultra-low-power project using STM32 MCUs and I have a question regarding the current capabilities of STM32CubeMX. Current Situation: I am aware that STM32CubeMX has an option to "Set unused pins to Analog" to save power. However, this is not sufficient for complex low-power management. In many cases, pins that are actively used in "Run" mode need to be reconfigured into specific states—not necessarily Analog—before entering a low-power mode (e.g., keeping a specific Pull-up/Pull-down for an external sensor, or maintaining a specific Output level to prevent leakage through external circuitry).Currently, CubeMX generates a single initialization function (e.g., MX_GPIO_Init()). Good morning.Using CubeIDE both v1.19 and v2.0.0 with Debian Linux v11.11.I'm seeing very high processor usage, 300% and higher, all of it java based even when there is no activity in the IDE.  Is there an explanation available for this usage, or is there a way to bring the usage back down out of the stratosphere, or is there just a leak that's causing this?  It doesn't really appear to be affecting anything bigtime so this is just an information inquiry.  System monitor screenshot attached.Just for information, I was using IDE v2.0 for a few days then found it upgraded to v2.1.  v2.1 uses a later version of libc and doesn't run on my Debian 11.11 system. 

Upgraded to v2.  I know this is a general question and I can elaborate but I'm having issues with my project NOT finding files.  First, has there been some change in the formatting for the entries in the Include portion of the project properties, General, Paths and Symbols...?  I'm doing a project where the paths are provided in an .xml file to be imported.  Most of it works but it appears some random files are not found.  I say random because if I fix one, two or more files are not found.  There must be some formatting issue OR maybe I'm not clear of the ORDER of the includes that may make a difference.  I've gotten the errors to drop from 15 down to 2, then fixing those 2 then results in 5 more.  I'm doing something incorrectly and not recognizing the problem, most likely.   Any suggestions would help. When using a STM32H757, with external QSPI, on an STM32H757I-EVAL, I am experiencing some programming issues when programming an .elf file with sections pointing to external QSPI. I am using the ST External Loader for MT25TL01G_STM32H747I-EVAL. Programming does work successfully, but on newer versions of cube programmer, there are warnings about 32 byte alignment, and then verification fails. The addresses mentioned are in AXI SRAM, and are .bss sections, which are marked NOLOAD, so it's confusing why that memory is trying to be programmed and this error is coming up in the first place. Manually setting the ALIGN markers in the linker file to be 32 instead of 4 does seem to get rid of the warning, and fix the issue. I've seen this issue on with versions 2.19 and 2.21 Is this a known issue? I haven't seen this issue with 2.17. Attached are logs files with the warnings and errors. During debugging its showing pop_up notification like  Failed to enable live expression, connection failed but when i am click ok, after that its start downloading. what could be the reason for that one.   

Hello, In my STM32WBA65 project using FreeRTOS, I tried to create a hot-attach debug configuration.It works OK except for one problem : the RTOS proxy does not know what it is working on, as it seems to rely on the parameter imageFileName in imagesAndSymbols. Since replacing imageFileName with symbolFileName is necessary to get a hot-attach configuration (along with "serverReset": "None"), this is a problem. The problem seems to be that imageFileName has two roles : 1) providing the binary used by the RTOS Proxy and by the loading mechanism and 2) telling the system that we want to load said binary into the target. Is there a way to hot-attach the debugger with RTOS awareness that I missed ?  Below, my launch configuration in launch.json:{ "type": "stlinkgdbtarget", "request": "launch", "name": "Hot Attach", "origin": "snip

With HPDMA configured for SAI1A, no DMA setup code is generated with CubeMX 6.17.0. See attached IOC file as an example. Possible that I'm missing a required setting, but I can't find anything.Edit: Fully deleting and re-creating project seems to have fixed it :shrug:.

Hello. When I press to Run (Run main.c) button, STM32CubeIDE opens random file, possibly, from current repository, for example: startup_stm32l452xx.s, core_cm4.h etc... Code is loading successful, but this side effect bothers me. I would like to disable this function. How can I do it? If you need more information about this behavior please, ask.
