stm32cube-ide-clangd.arguments are written to settings.json on every startup/setup with .exe or no extension depending on platform. settings.json contains important settings we want to share across collaborators but now it's getting constantly modified between platforms. 

Folks,I have FreeRTOS running on an H563, trust zone not used. Created the basic setup from an ioc. I have an ocassional task starvation issue and want to double check there's no stack overflow (unlikely but must check).If I set configCHECK_FOR_STACK_OVERFLOW to 1  in FreeRTOS.hIn cmsis_os2.c, vApplicationStackOverflowHook is still greyed out and hovering over configCHECK_FOR_STACK_OVERFLOW claims it's set to 0. control clicking on it takes me to the defintion where it is set to 1. Anyone know what is going on here please? And why is it set in FreeRTOS.h, not FreeRTOSConfig.h?  Thanks

Hi!I am making a custom external loader for my custom STM32F469 board equipped with a W25Q128 flash mermory on QuadSPI.To do so I am using vscode and a CMake project generated via CubeMX.I am able to generate and run programs on my STM32F469 (embedded flash), I can write, read and reset the external flash even using the memory mapped mode (verified through the debugger).Now I want to build an external loader based on this project. I copied the files from the STM external loader Github (contrib branch), updated them to match the W25Q128 configuration, and added an executable to my CMakeLists file to compile (and most importantly link) the external loader.My first problem is that the linker complains that there is no "main" function. I am trying to build a project using STM32CUBEMX 6.16.0 and 6.16.1 but the ioc file doesn't export the full supporting header file for the touchgfx.

I recently updated to Linux Mint 22 (Cinnamon 6.8, kernel 6.8.0, Ubuntu 24.04) by means of the "generic Linux" version. (I had tried without success the Debian package and was advised to use the "generic" instead).The software works and compiles OK as long as you do not try to launch or debug the result. At this point it stops complaining that it cannot find gdb because libncurses.so.5 is not installed.  The problem lies in the fact that  libncurses5 is deprecated and non longer available (you can get libncurses5-dev but that is of no avail).At this point I reverted to the old 1.10 version that I still had, and found the same problem.  The only solution seems to be an upgrade of STM32CubeIDE to libncurses6.Do you have any solution or a forecast for such an upgrade? I hate thinking of switching to  a different processor line.Tranks

HiI recently started using STM32CubeMX on MacOS and noticed that navigating through the (sub)-folder is kind of buggy or I am doing something utterly wrong.I want to create a project inside my documents folder. But everything that is inside my documents folder is not shown in the STM32CubeMX GUI when selecting a project folder. See attached picture. Can you please attempt to recreate this? I use a MacBook Air M3 16GB/265GB, Mac Tahoe V26.2 should that matter.

The MCU I'm trying to use is the STM32WBA65CIU6 with the SMPS Pinout.source: datasheet page 72 (https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32wba62ci.pdf).However this configuration seemingly isn't available in STM32CubeMX, only the SMPS_USB Version.

Hello, I installed STM32CubeIDE and attempted to set up my first project as you can see in the three attachments.Based on YouTube videos, I expected to see the MCU outline so I can assign functions to the pins.  As you can see in one of the screenshots, I'm getting a message stating that "There is no active editor that provides an outline"I did the following to try and address this, with no luck...   *  Uninstalled and Reinstalled STM32CubeIDE, including manually deleting folders that were not removed by the automated removal process.  To be safe, I used a different project folder name but this didn't help.  *  Installed STM32 on a second Windows 11 laptop but saw the exact same problemI didn't bother trying older versions of STM32CubeIDE because I read in a different post that this did not solve the problem for the other user.Any help is appreciated.

Hello,Does anyone know if there is a stack analyzer tool / plugin available in CubeIDE, in particular to analyze the stacks dynamically allocated in ThreadX Memory pools?Also, under ThreadX Thread List, there is a "stack usage" column.  This column is always blank (or N/A), is there something that needs to be done to enable the "stack usage"?

When opening a project directory in VS Code, the STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code extension gets stuck in an infinite loading state (as shown in the screenshot below).Symptoms:"Go to Definition" does not work.The Build Analyzer view does not appear. clicking the "Build" button still triggers a successful compilation.Most dependent extensions, such as STM32Cube CMake Support, remain inactive

Hello! I have STM32N6570-DK and i would like to disable or make Trust Zone transparent to me and develop the project without safety like your products with cortex M3,M4 and M7 cores with all resources available. I can find some video content on disabling Trust Zone on STM32L5 and STM32U5 but not for STM32N6. STM32CubeIDE offers me a Secure or Secure-Non Secure project generation. Any tips ? Thank you 

In an effort to track down an unrelated problem, I switched back to using my H7 DISCO board and the HSEM_CoreSync sample application. If I debug only the CM7 code, or only the CM4 code, I can step through any/all lines. However, if I try to multi-core debug, single stepping on the CM7 says it is performing a step:(before hitting F5)(after hitting F5)

I get this type of error when I'm trying to setup a project with Nucleo-H563ZI and GCC here:I also get information that gdb is not running, while I've installed everything in the same way as I did on my previos laptop im my work. I've even changed system env for not checking tls

I am building an STM32H7 project (STM32H753) using CMake + STM32CubeMX and GCC.The firmware builds and runs correctly, but STMStudio fails to load debug symbols with the following error:DWARF error. Wrong version in compilation unit header (is 5, should be 2,3 or 4) Even when -g is used, the error persists. I am using stm32cubeprg-win64-v2-21, and I am experiencing an error.After launching the program and clicking Open File, the Open File window appears briefly, and then the program closes unexpectedly.I uninstalled it and tried using a previous version of STM32CubeProgrammer, but the same issue occurs. Rebooting the laptop does not resolve the problem either.  I have captured a video of the issue and attached it.

Hey there community,As you can see I am trying to move the free Rtos and x-cube-st67w611 middle ware from the application context to the FSBL context, I am using the stm32n6 mcu series and MX 6.16.0 version.I failed to see the full message suggested by the MX tool, as to why this is, I also noticed that in the example projects the context is fixed to FSBL, hence doable. my intention is to develop in the FSBL content and latter migrate to the application content.Does any one have a idea of what I can do to?

Whenever I try to use the SFR view window, it consistently crashes the IDE. Completely hangs up, not responding to anything (e.g. resizing the window) anymore.. left it sit for 15min (way too long) no responsiveness.I can easily reproduce this by launching a debug session, and then e.g. trying to unfold "NVIC" item in the SFR listings. => IDE hangsAlso starting to type so I can narrow down the amount of entries in the panel => IDE hangsTyping "NVIC" somewhere else first, then copy-pasting it into the field (so it doesn't first go searching for everything with "N" in the name, and then having to read a few hundred registers) => IDE hangsI'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.13.0, installed last week. The target is a STM32U575 on a nucleo. None of my user code is running yet, because its still halted at the entry of main. I've not touched any of the debugger settings w.r.t. to the onboard STLink.OS is Manjaro Linux with all up to date packages.Ple

Inside Cube config, i do not get the other internal connected pins on pin 14, only PA8... in older versions it was available. The chip is STM32U031F8... What do i do wrong.. i need to use the uart_tx function on pin 14... Thank you  Old version from Cubeide... New version from Inet : 6.16.1
