I have been trying for hours to upload code to the STM32-N6 and I am simply out of ideas. I only managed to upload debug code to RAM once, then I tried erasing the flash on the PCB using STM32CubeProgrammer (which worked, the standard code is not on there anymore) but now I cannot even use the debug option. I am having to program a unit via UART, and every time I open the STM32CubeProgrmmer GUI the interface selector shows J-Link/Flasher.It remembers if I choose ST-Link.If I manually edit the "interface=" entry in config.properties to 2, STM32CubeProgrmmer opens with UART selected.On exit, the "interface=" entry is rewritten to 1.If I select USB as the interface, the "interface=" entry is rewritten to 2, which opens as UART the next time, and then the "interface=" entry is rewritten to 1 on the next exit.

Hello, I created a complex project for a STM32H573 based custom board. That project is ThreadX based and it shall use the USPBD package. I generated to project with STM32CubeMX version 6.16.1 using STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32H5 Series 1.5.1 (see attached IOC file for reference) I create the code for the latest STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0. Hi everyone,I'm relatively new to STM32 and I'm running into a confusing issue with the debugger in STM32CubeIDE.I have a simple while loop where I read an ADC value (potentiometer) and use that value as the delay time for a blinking LED.The code is definitely working physically. When I turn the potentiometer, the LED blinks faster or slower accordingly. This confirms `HAL_ADC_GetValue` is returning a changing value.When I run the code in Debug mode and look at my variable (adcDeger) in the live expressions tab, it is stuck at 0. I've reported a STM32CubeMX bug, but I am afraid that there is no one to look at it. Is there any better place to report bugs/issues? Things I've reported are quite a blocker for me and I really need to know if there is anyone working on it, or I'll have to find a workaround.Thanks.

Hi, I am trying to transition from cubeIDE to the VSCode workflow, and am having trouble getting intellisense working. I'm relatively inexperienced with this (I appreciate that cubeIDE 'just worked' in this regard, and I never had to deal with figuring out how to configure this). I've tried starting from a relatively vanilla state - I only install the STM32CubeIDE VSCode extension pack. I *think* I need to also install the C/C++ extension from MS in order to get/enable intellisense for developing stm32 projects (?)Within my project, some things seem to work - I can right-click on some functions and see/jump to definitions. In other cases, I see errors about undeclared variables/defines/macros or other miscellaneous "problems", none of which the compiler actually complains about. I'm confused why this seems spotty within the project. Then, I have an out-of-project shared code area. I've set this up relatively simply (there are no "library" CMakeLists.tx

1. Run StmCubeMX and then chose upgrade in Ubuntu2. After download it error with something alike it cannot unzip the file.  Reason:1. it seems CubeMx uses the .installationinformation hidden file in its folder to find the installation folder.INSTALL_PATHt\00$.....<your patch>/STM32CubeMXt\These are settings  in a binary format, so there are some weird character. Hi,this is a small but annoying little bug: Sometimes after running code generation, apparently the STM32CubeMX application keeps some files open in the "cmake" subdirectory. This then prevents me from modifying or deleting (to force re-generation on the next code generation run) the files. It also interferes with my Post Generation user script which modifies those files.This can be seen e.g. via ProcessExplorer:It would be helpful if STM32CubeMX would close all file handles after code generation, ideally before calling the post generation user scripts.Thanks!

Hi,I’m working with an STM32C031 and have written bare-metal firmware based on the CubeMX-generated framework. When I compile in Debug mode, the firmware uses about 79% of the available flash. Switching to Release mode reduces this to around 45%, which is a big improvement.I’d like to further minimize code size while still retaining as much debugging capability as possible.A couple of questions if someone could advise:1. What techniques and/or compiler/linker options do you recommend?2. where and how do I set any such settings? I assume in CMakeLists.txt? but not sure.Thank you

Hello!I'm trying out the new STM32CubeIDE extensions for VSCode and have generated a CMake project using CubeMX. I'm unable to setup my project as I get this error:I don't know what JSON file it is referring to as there are none in my project except the auto-generated CMakePresets.json, but I don't think that's the issue since I get the same error even if I remove that file.I have tried to re-install the extensions and restart VSCode with no luck.   

I'm using "STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code" on Ubuntu 22.04.  I have a situation where I'm making a driver for a chip where it very much benefits me to make the driver into a class and instantiate several instances of it.Generally speaking, what are the best practices here, if I still want to use the CubeMX code generation?At the moment, here's what I'm doing:Add `CXX` to the languages in the `./CMakeLists.txt` file.  Also add the driver.cpp file to the target_sources() directive in `./CmakeLists.txt`. Change the file extension of main.c to main.cppChange the ./cmake/stm32cubemx/CMakeLists.txt to reference the main.cpp fileI was planning on automating this with a pre and post script which would do a `mv main.cpp main.c` and `mv main.c main.cpp`. And then also changing the generated CMakeLists.txt to reference the main.cpp.However, it seems that a simple bash script isn't being run. &

As my project has morphed I have started from a STM32F103, moved up to a G431, then a F446.With a few #defines and tweaks I have a shared main app code base with identical project structures for each of the processor types (that makes it easy to switch between MCU boards as when whilst doing code tests).All theseSTM32CubeIDE projects have Runtime library = Reduced C, and "do not use default libraries" is ticked. All build fine.All used CubeMX to generate the appropriate sources etc.., all have 99.9% identical CubeIDE project structures.As a stepping stone to a STM32F723 I am bodging up a port to an STM32H723, but so far have been unsuccessful in getting it to link. It seems to be having a problem related to the c library area.(.text._getpid_r+0x0): undefined reference to `_getpid'/home/main/.eclipse/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.rcp.product_2.0.0_1934254364_linux_gtk_x86_64/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.exter

CubeProgrammer doesn't work with OpenJFX 11, but OpenJFX 8 cannot handle HiDPI screen, which makes Cube Programmer almost illegible.Since you were able to release several new versions in the past months, could you please also update to Java 11, or fix the HiDPI issues yourself?
