STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Problem:I recently updated to 2.0.0 of STM32CubeIDE and I encountered an issue when attempting to build for Debug. I first noticed an issue when trying to run a Debug Configuration. Before 2.0.0, it would build Debug before flashing the built firmware and starting the debugging server; pretty much default settings. Today, it started skipping the build step. I tried building Debug manually with the dropdown on the hammer icon and clicking "Debug." Instead, it built for Release. Solutions:- Right click on the project -> Build Configurations -> Build Selected... and select Debug.AND- Setting Debug as the active build and right click on the project -> Build ProjectThese solutions would build for Debug AND clear both of the above issues. As in the hammer icon -> Debug would actually build for Debug and the Debug Configuration would build before flashing and debugging.

I have a requirement to implement CAN based bootloader in my STM32h503rbt6 controller. I need help to setup TMP102 alarm function. STM32CubeIDE is creating a new folder inside ".stm32cubeide\.jxbrowser-7.41.4" everytime STM32CubeIDE launches.It would be nice if the application cleaned up its junk, at least deleting old profile subfolders, as each one eats up 75MB.I just manually deleted over 75 of them dating back to October.

Hello guys. I'm currently trying to use the dsp libraries of the cmsis pack with no success.My device is a WBA55CG nucleo board and the version of my ide is 1.19. I tried to download the cmsis package manually, by selecting embedded software package maneger and then from local/url and successfully installed the packages. (CMSIS 5.9). I enabled core and selected CMSIS from source and dsp. I enabled dsp and core on mx configuration->middleware and hit generate. In my STM32CubeIDE, the labels and tabs are displaying as garbled text (random characters). I'm planning on moving from STM32F103 for more speed, so in advance of getting a board I thought I would try building an app for the STM32G431... so I found an small example project online that was using an OpAmp feature.Having got that compiled ok in STM32CubeIDE I backported my app source code into the project (which went ok), but compiling it was missing some definitions for HAL UART structures.Looking at "Drivers/STM32G4xx_HAL_Driver" in my original project and comparing it with "Drivers/STM32G4xx_HAL_Driver" in the new project I see that its missing some files like "stm32g4xx_hal_uart.h". Is it possible to force STM32CubeIDE to regenerate the Drivers subfolder from scratch?I always find switching a STM32CubeIDE project between different MCUs a harder job than it should be, e.g. it would be nice if there was a combo box listing MCUs in the project properties.  

Hi and happy new year... I'm a complete beginner, and I'm facing a major problem.I've tried creating a new project in CubeID for an STM32F401CEUx.But the project "STM32 Project" doesn't appear in the list of new projects.The closest thing I find is one called "STM32CubeIDE Empty Project," and when I create a project using this template, the initial image of the chip where I configure the pins doesn't appear, and the IoT file isn't in the project tree either.Why could this be? 

Hello,I'm facing very strange issues with STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0 under Linux Debian Trixie/Forky.I'm running Kernel 6.17.11+deb14-amd64 with Plasma 6.5.4, KDE Framework 6.20.0 and QT version 6.9.2 in Wayland.First issue is with debugger. I can start the firmware in debugging mode, runs but after few "Step Into" and "Step Over" commands the debugger is getting stuck. I doesn't take any commands anymore.If I use "Restart" or "Terminate" or "Terminate and Relaunch" is starting again and again I can use few times "Step Into" and "Step Over" Second issue is with windows ordering after using for a while STM32CubeIDE: it breaks completely the windows orders under Plasma and the only solution is to logout and login back and restart all apps.I didn't get this issue with any other apps, except STM32CubeIDE.

An intermittant bug... (as it happens it doesn't occur as I am reporting this issue).Open up a STM32CubeIDE project.Navigate to a project Source Folder, e.g. XYX...Core...SrcHighlight a source file, e.g. "main.c",right-click "Copy", right-click "Paste". Click "Ok" to the suggested filename "main2.c".Double-click "main2.c" to edit it, You can't cut or modify any text in the file, nor type in any new text.Close STM32CubeIDE and launch it again... the file is now editable.The bug appears perhaps 2% of the time, not a deal breaker but a bit annoying.  

I created a support ticket for this issue but haven't heard back yet, but I wondered if anyone else has seen this issue before. I have been having an issue with my STLINK-V3MINIE for some time now. When I set and hit a breakpoint, the program will often not start again no matter what I do. I am using arm-none-eabi-gdb with OpenOCD to debug a STM32H750, and will set a breakpoint or watchpoint in my code, and once it is hit, I am not able to get the target to continue again using "continue" or "step" commands in gdb. Even after deleting the breakpoint, the issue will remain and the only way to get the target to respond normally again is to reset the program with "monitor reset halt". The image I attached shows hitting a breakpoint, deleting the breakpoint, then not being able to continue I tried upgrading the firmware on my STLINK-V3MINIE, this did not fix it. It is an official STLINK-V3MINIE that I bought from ST, not a clone.

Due to issues with text selection and copy/paste in STM32CubeIDE 2.0, I reinstalled the operating system (I was previously running a beta version) and moved to a stable release (Tahoe 26.2 (25C56)) on an Apple Silicon Mac (M4). I then downloaded and installed STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMX. The installation completes successfully, but when launching either application, an error occurs and the tools fail to start. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows the root cause? Any insights would be appreciated.

HelloIf I use CubeIDE 1.19.0 there was a target board selector after starting a new project. In 2.0.0 I can not find it. Slso the GPIO config.What happens?   

Hello.Due to reasons, I had to completely reset my laptop, and I am setting up STMCubeIDE and STMCubeMX again. That said, I became used to CubeMX being integrated inside of CubeIDE and I want my project generation to include the .ioc file. Hence, I'm choosing to install STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0 (despite the documented issues and reasoning for Version 2, I have yet to encounter a serious problem that would steer me away).  That said, after reinstalling STM32CubeIDE version 1.19.0, the code generation is locked behind an error message:`Go to Help -> STM32Cube updates -> Connection to myST`. When I go to `Help->Check for Updates`, the only update available is to STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0. As I've explained above, I've been actively avoiding this version due to the removal of CubeMX integration in CubeIDE.  Seeing as this was the only update, I tried to simply go to`Project -> Generate Code`, but nothing happened. 

Previous versions of cube had very nice board seelction tools.At the top of the screen was aa complete board descrription that enabled the easy selection of board features when starting a new project and wanting to see what peripherals were available on the board and chipThe current version 2.0 has very, very sparse information, inadequate to find out which boards havee what preipherals. The facility is easyt to provide since it simply references the sales literature available on the ST site.This information is not even available by double clicking on the products offered in the IDE.Furthermore, the online product selector is almost useless, there are 3 columns with identical headings under ADC converters. I presume these refer to differrent ADC capabilities, but am left in the dark as to their meaning.I understand that this might be a seldom used function, occurring once or twice in a product lifecycle, yet it is an invaluable tool.The filt

Hello, I recently switched to a new Macbook os Tahoe. I can't flash MCU. I see some errors pop. CubeMX detects ST link V3 minie, but can't flash it. Same come with the ST link upgrade. The old Mac with the Sequoia can do the job. Any ideas please ?

If I try to close the project, the project is NOT closed and moreower I can even COMPILE !!! and debug and to programm the closed project :) It is very cute.Whe I was very young we had a car "Škoda MB100" (green color). It was very magic car.
