STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Hello,recently I started a project based on a STM32L433RCT3 and the STM32CubeIDE build tooling defaults to C++14. I myself am cautious about bleeding-edge standards but C++14 seems a bit conservative in 2026. I tried both the GCC 13.3 and GCC 14.3 toolchains and C++14 was the default in both, while C++17 is the default of GCC since GCC 11 (C++ Standards Support in GCC).With another project and toolchain I once got nasty to track down bugs when bumping the C++ standard beyond the manufacturer's default so I'm wary to do this. I recently upgraded my IDE to version 2.0.  I cannot start a project from the board view; where you select the board type and configure the settings.  It would then create the c++ project code for you.  The new version doesn't have anything to help you select the board and it cannot even open up the board configuration editor when you click on the .ioc file.  Is there. a way to revert back to the previous editor version - I think it was version 1.x.18?

I am unable to change the project name in STM32CubeIde, if i change it and try to open it i get error windows cannot find the file. They are all linked files, may be that is causing the issue, what changes i have to do avoid this error. The project is generated using MCSDK and after generation i am trying to change the project name in CubeIde. 

Hii Community member,I need technical help from someone who had faced this issue earlier described as below:I am currently working on STM32H723ZG mcu in which i had interfaced NAND flash of MX30LF4G28AC using FMC peripheral.As per our hardware test routine, I am checking flash test in which first a block gets erased and then each page is verify whether it is erased or not. Then a dummy buffer of 4096 get writes in a page and then read back into another buffer and comparing them. During comparison, my test passes for some pages and fails for some pages within block. When checked for failed pages, it is found that only last byte i.e. 4095th byte is differing. Although i had done configuration for 4Gbit model in cubeMx, my test routine is working for 2Gbit model.I would welcome any suggestion or some guidance point to resolve my issue.If any code snippet required, i will share on this chat.

I updated CubeIDE to 2.0.0 (now CubeMX is separated) on MacOS. I started new project and want to set semihosting for debug. Friends, I've encountered a bug while running CubeIDE 2.0 on my Ubuntu (KDE desktop). When I open my project, I notice the code editing area flickers. This often happens when the sidebar scrollbar is activated (forgive me, I'm not sure how to describe this element). Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? How should I resolve it?

Hi all, Is there any way to retrieve a list of all peripheral registers Address and Names for a specific MCU?I would like to have it as a json document,  My Approach right now would be to parse the MCU-Specific Header file in STM32 HAL. I would need to do it for many different MCUs, so I am looking for a possibility to have it done without huge manual effort.I am wondering if there is any easier way to do this, like extract from SMT32CubeIDE? Hello. I am currently working on a NUCLEO-L152RE project in the latest version of the CubeIDE. I am running into an error where I can not install break points due to an "unmatched quote". I have tried the common fixes (New work space) for this that I could find online and it hasn't resolved it. I also ran fresh installs of the programs and encountered the same issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I have included a screenshot below for reference.   

I have a working project in STM32CubeIDE v1.19 for my STM32WB55RG board.  Pretty simple as it reads some sensor data, does an FFT and sends a couple results over Bluetooth.  It is working well and I'm happy with the performance.  I am on macos Tahoe and the highlighting of text in the editor is not working so I thought I'd upgrade to v2.0 to try to fix that problem.....what could possibly go wrong right?STM32CubeIDE v2.0 and standalone STM32CubeMX v6.16.1 install fine and I import the project into a new workspace and if I compile immediately after importing, it compiles fine....no errors.  I open the existing .ioc file in CubeMX and everything seems to load fine.  I make no changes and hit "Generate Code" just to make sure the new workflow is working properly.  No changes made but it apparently overwrites the existing app_ble.c file as a compile after refreshing the work done by CubeMX yields the following errors (snippets of output shown for bre

Is there an official docker image for stm32cubeide - we are building our firmware in an azure devops pipeline, and downloading the latest stm32cubeide deb package and installing it is time-consuming for the build. Looking on docker hub there are a number of stm32cubeide images, but none seem to be official from ST?(we have the headless build command working etc)

In STM32CubeIDE, it is possible to view two different source files side by side by dragging editor tabs with the mouse. However, there is no keyboard shortcut or command to move the active editor to the left/right split.This slows down workflow when frequently comparing files (e.g., main.c and app.c). A command such as “Move editor to right/left split” with assignable key binding would greatly improve productivity.Best regards.

  drag and drop error I have a Mac Pro M4 with Tahoe 26.2 OS, STM32CubeIDE version 2.0.2, and I am having trouble selecting and copying a selection of lines. I tried several tests and that option disappeared. If I am comparing two files, dragging and dropping text works perfectly. Is there any notification about this? Is there a solution?
