I encountered a strange problem while using STM32CubeIDE. After clicking "Debug" and then "Exit," in all subsequent actions (unless I restart the software), when I click "Download" (not "Debug"), the IDE interface redirects to another file (the line `ldr sp, =_estack /* set stack pointer */` in `startup_stm32f407vgtx.s`). While it's not a major issue, it's certainly annoying, like having sand in your shoe. I'm seeking a solution.

I have started a CMake project with CubeMX. I can edit, build and debug using VS Code. CubeIDE has some debugging abilities missing in VSCode extension. So I would like to know if there is a way to do all the extensive editing in VSCode and the debugging in the IDE. That would be an ideal scenario because I could combine the best features of both environments.

I'm building a (relatively simple) application with STM32C011F6J6 using HAL for managing onboard peripherals. I believe moving some of the I/O code to LL or "bare metal" (direct register manipulation) would help reduce flash demand - 32K byte budget - but would like target these efforts.Is there a way (perhaps using the linker that's part of STM32CubemX) to get a memory map telling me how much flash is occupied by each function call?Thank you 

I am working with the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q and I am implementing the ADC GPDMA examples described in this STM32U5 workshop https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-online-courses/stm32u5-workshop/ba-p/774159. Within the project, a GPDMA channel is configured to collect 4 channels of ADC data triggered by a timer in a buffer called data, use 2D addressing to rearrange the channel data in a new buffer called dataGrouped, then transmit the data over UART. The first time I built the project and ran the debugger in STM32CubeIDE, I was able to add the two data buffers being used by the DMA channel to the live expressions view and monitor the data in real time to confirm that the DMA channel is functioning properly. However, after terminating the debugger and relaunching it, even without making any changes to the firmware, the expressions I added no longer update and just display 0. Th

The configuration for include paths in cubeIDE seems horrendous.  I have installed CMSIS 5.9 using MX no problems.  IDE didnt pick it up. Manually configured the path into cubeIDE..... still cant see the include file ... even though it is right there.I am using exist source files imported into cubeIDE but there is no easy way to make the cubeIDE see the include paths.Bang head .. repeat.Do I have to manually copy the CMSIS DSP files into the project ??I see from the web this problem occurs alot .. with many different "solutions".    

SirWe are not able to program the stm32h725vgt6 board.We got some issues and in order to rectify the issue  we have connected  VDDSMPS and VFBSMPS to the GND and voltage on the VCAP ia about 1V for supply 3.3V V. I am new to STM32CubeIDE  2.0.0 environment and I cannot debug my first project. See failure message in attachment.  What do I need to do to debug in this environment?  Is there instructions hidden somewhere that I need to follow?

I've relocated the .text section of a test project to SRAM1 through the C-bus address (starting at 0x0A00 0000). I have relocated the main function into SRAM1.The code runs fine, and if I suspend the chip and navigate to the 0x0A00 0000 address space on the disassembly view the code and debug information (function names, source code references, etc.) is present and visible.Navigating to 0x2000 0000 on the disassembly view also displays the same assembly instructions but without any debug informationWith main located in SRAM1, the debugger fails to stop on entry into main, despite the debug configuration setting.If I set a breakpoint on any code that is located in SRAM1, the debugger does not suspend on those breakpoints, UNLESS I set a breakpoint in the reset handler (which is in FLASH), hit the breakpoint after a reset, and step into main from the reset handler, then it stops on breakpoints normally. Hello,I am using STM32H750ZB variant for an HMI custom project and I am using SDRAM via FMC.When I configure FMC in cubeide1.19.0, I can't see the FMC_NBL0 and FMC_NBL1.I can actually add these pins as GPIOs, but I can't define the AF as AF12_FMC.I know from the datasheet that this package supports it but I want your confirmation as I still don't have HW to test and don't want to change the package again and redo the HW.Thanks,Ayoub  

As i updated my STM32CubeIDE to the latest site version available, i am getting new errors in my working code.Those errors before update were displayed as warnings but after update they are turning into errors. passing argument 2 of 'xfunc' from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types]My -Werror is unchecked from the start.If someone can help me how to resolve it, Thanks in advance.

To sum up my project, i get temperature value from NTC. I made ADC reading. There is no problem about getting values. I define temperature value as floating point variable. When observing it on debug screen, because it was floating, numbers after . is too much like seven digit. As you see in picture, is there any way to reduce the number of digits on debug window? temperatureDisplay 

I am not able to find the built in drivers, which comes by default, when you download the software. This is not allowing me to get the whole main.c file to perform the projects. Can anyone help

Hello,I just downloaded STMCubeIDE 2.1.1 to generate a simple project for a Nucleo-C562RE board.I am not using CubeMX2 (for various reason, that is not the point).The default empty project generated for STM32C562RE by the IDE has only 1 SRAM element with a size of 64K, instead of 2 SRAM elements of 64K each.FLASH size is correct though.Out of curiosity, if ST were to push a fix for this kind of bug, would it be a new IDE release ? or could it be a STM32C5 pack update only ?

When i try to add breakpoint, there is a cross sign on breakpoint symbol. So even if the code works, breakpoint never works.I try to add __asm("BKPT 0"); but it also did not work. I am not sure what is the problem.My CubeID version is: Version: 2.1.1Build: 28236_20260312_0043 (UTC)

Hi, I'm using stm32cubeide version 2.1.1 and version 1.15.1/windows11, both are compiling the same project on my PC at slower speed compared to a lab computer.(3min vs 20seconds) Any idea what could be causing the issue? Thanks!

I'm trying to create an empty project for the NUCLEO-U3C5ZI-Q using STM32CubeIDE v2.1.1 under MacOS. All available updates have been applied.I've used File/STM32 Project Create to create an STM32CubeIDE Empty Project for the NUCLEO-U3C5ZI-Q board (all settings at the defaults offered).The project is created, along with the startup and linker files, but there is no .ioc file.
