If the firmware file does not exist, when trying to download this error occurs, which does not show the user exactly what happened:

Hi,I've come across an issue whereby inserting or removing a breakpoint anywhere in my code when the processor is running causes execution to pause for ~180ms. I thought manipulation of breakpoint registers was independent of processsor execution state.Is this delay to be expected ? I'm using a STM32F7, ST-Linkv3 and OpenOCD with STM32CubeIDE v1.2.ThanksDave

Hi, I'm new to STM32 Tools and am using a Nucleo-F302R8 and IHM07M1 motor board. I created a STM32CubeIDE project selecting these boards and importing the code. When I compile the code I was getting files not found. I located these files on my C:\ drive and added them to my workspace. I am trying to create a custom bootloader and having trouble debugging where in the application it jumps to.Both projects are in the IDE.If needed. The MCU I use is a STM32F103RET6

Hi, i have a problem with STM IDE projects. When i create a new project, in some cases there are no CMSIS files importet by the IDE.For example, i have crated a project with the STM32L152RCT- MCU. In the folder "Drivers -> CMSIS" are two subfolders named "Device" and "Include". The subfolder "Include" contains a lot of header-files like "core_cm4.h". This project works fine and i have no problems.Now, in my mainproject i've choosed the controller STM32F405ZGTX. But there is no subfolder called "Include" in the folder "CMSIS". So this subfolder is missing with the header-files. Building the project bring errors, cant find core_cm4.h. But why is this subfolder missing? Do anyone have an idea whats going on?

I want to bink a led on NUCLEO-G474RE, I used CubeMX and CudeIDE.Since I don' t want to use IAR or Keil, so I select CubeIDE toolchain in CudeMX.The code generated and has been opened as project in CubeDE, and the two lines has been added in main():    HAL_GPIO_TogglePin (GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_11);    HAL_Delay (100);While, when I start to build, this info prompted:Building in: E:\Blink_G474RE\build\defaultmake -f ..\..\MakefileError: build command 'make' not foundError: What's wrong with it ?Should I set the gcc environment variable manually?I have heard gcc is the default build tool for CubeIDE, is there something I misunderstand ?

I'm just getting started with the STM32CubeIDE and trying to build a motor control projects. I can compile with 0 errors but when I go to run debug it says 'no program file is specified'. If I have a C project named "my_projects" what will the name of the program file be and where is it located?

I am writing C++ projects using STMCubeIDE and running into a problem when using classes or other C++ features.Even when choosing that the project be a C++ project, I can't build the code. Manually changing the file extensions to .cpp makes the code compile, but then breaks the link to generating code with STMCube. If I want to make changes to my pinout configuration I have to manually change the file names back to .c and then build the code, then manually change back to .cpp.Is there a better way to do this?

I'm using ADCs on a STM32F3 MCU. The program is reading the ADCs, alternating between continous and single mode.If I run the program without breakpoints, it works properly.If I insert a breakpoint before the read instruction, the program works properly.If I open the SFR window, the program still works properly.If I try to display the content of ADC1, then the CPU freeze.

I need some assistance in setting up a valid debugging environment in STM32CubeIDE using a Neucleo-64 STM32F103RB board.I have wide experience in C, C++, and C#. I have also experience in the Arduino IDE, having made several projects there. I generated the code with cubeIDE.PB12 would be a digital input. I pulled down this an 100kOhm resistor to GND.I don't connect any else to this pin yet.I measured this pin around 2,6V-2,8V.I tried several panels and the promlem is the same.Somebody met this bug before?Thanks

Hi,I am using STM32F405, CMSIS RTOS V1, and STM32CubeIDE. I want to create a timer interrupt that periodically release the semaphore to signal the execution of a task. The issue is that it gets stuck after osSemaphoreRelease is called in the interrupt. Please refer to my source code.How do I troubleshoot this?Thanks.

Fresh installation, when I try to create a STM32 project a zip file with firmware is downloaded and unpacked, but I still get this error message:"Code generation could not be done because necessary firmware package is missing. Not able to complete STM32Cube project."I tried to download and unzip these files manually with no luck. I have this issue on my both PCs with windows 10. Also the same thing happens regardless if I try to create a project for my Nucleo F030R8 or Nucleo L053R8.

It seems like the various import mechanisms are making incorrect assumptions about file locations. Just tried to import from filesystem one of the example programs from Cube H7 V1.6. I set the import to copy files so I wasn't going to corrupt the source.Import seemed to work but when you try to look at the source files they aren't there because the path is completely wrong. e.g. Looking here:D:/Middlewares/Third_Party/FatFs/src/option/syscall.c Actually imported here:D:\Dropbox\STM32CubeIDE\workspace_1.2.0\FatFs_RAMDisk\Application\User\Core\syscall.cWhen I tried to import a known good Atollic project the import failed with an error when trying to back up the project files.Cube H7 V1.6 ( for STM32H7A3) no longer provides Atollic project versions and the CubeIDE versions are apparently completely useless and won't import into Atollic - THANKS !!!!

Hi,I am unable to update embedded software packages.To update I select "Manage embedded software packages" menu item. Packages manager window opens. I see "Check Firmware & Software. Download File updaters.zip" but progress bar stays at 0 bytes. After a while error "Problem during Download of File" is shown. I would like to remove STM32CubeIDE (v1.2.0) from my Mac (os 10.14.6).Removing the IDE is straightforward, just drag the .app to the trash. But how do I remove the ST Link Server from my machine? The ST Link Server Installer doesn't specify where it is putting files on my Mac, and I would like to remove these too.Thanks!
