Hello everyone,why the wifi doesn’t initialized? I use the IoTA1i added these 2 lines to enable the WiFi but the LED doesn’t turn on! The problem when I change WIFI_STATUS_ERROR it doesn’t turn on too. I added the CRC calculation, and left the config of CubeMX :thinking_face:can someone help me please

Hi.CubeIDE doesn't generate the HAL_EXTI for STM32L152CubeIDE 1.2.1STM32Cube FW_L1 V1.9.0Nucleo F152As a result, using HAL_EXTI Type or API will cause compile error. Attached nucleo-l152-exti.zip is demonstration code. You can see compile error. The other nucleo-g431-exti.zip is for the comparison. You can run it on the Nucleo G431 (64). It just work.

Hi,I'm wondering if there are any libraries developed by ST that test STM32 (and STM8) hardware (a library that can test if all GPIOs can be set/reset, if PWM is as accurate as expected, if ADC is ok too etc.)Any clue ?regards,AJT

I am sort of new to using STMCubeIDE/MX, but can use functions relating to timer use and configuration, as well as interrupts.I am working on a project on the STM32F103Cx medium-density microcontroller platform- my application requires a serial data stream be buffered, and output in specifically timed bursts at another clock frequency, probably dictated by one of the internal timers (I am already using the advanced-function timer TIM1 for generating PWM, but a general-purpose timer TIM4 is free.) I have 2 data streams (that are going at the same rate) that I want to store in memory, with DMA (so the MCU core can conserve its clock cycles and interrupts for other (somewhat concurrent) functions.) I've tried to do something similar by taking the GPIO input states of the data stream pins, shifting them right by the lower GPIO pin number so they are the 2 LSBs of the byte, compound bitwise ORing the byte with the contents of a particular address of an array,

I am trying to reproduce a project that was published on 11/23/2017, but I do not know the IDE (STM32CubeMx) version used (maybe v4.23), I was able to find this image reference, which shows the package version. Hi,First post here. I've been using Eclipse previously with SystemWorkbench for STM32 and now the STM32CubeIDE.I'm working on an embedded project which uses multiple microcontrollers and need to use the same .c and .h files for both (with different configs depending on which micro is being targeted).I've been using symlinks in windows with the shared files located in a separate folder, however this isn't ideal due to having to setup new symlinks for new projects and iterations.Ideally I'd like to have a separate folder with all of my different "libraries" (.c and .h) files which I can import into any project, and changes made in any project will update the files, and hance, their usage in other projects.I've been trying to do this using paths and project preferences, but no luck so far.Any thoughts?

I just started to work with a x-nucleo board, downloading and unpacking the provided ZIP-File with libraries and samples.I want to use one of the provided samples, to start a new stm32cubeIDE project from. When someone does a tutorial, it is possible that the person will forget to show the version of the tool.So if it is possible to show the software version along with the window title, it can be useful for tracking in the future, when someone else is trying to reproduce the project.

Hi there!Each project I've migrated from the previous version of STM32CubeIDE to 1.3.0 can no longer debug properly.When launching a debug session I now always get the following:But if I create a new project from scratch everything is fine.Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?If so is there a setting I can set that will correct this?Also my code no longer seems to get sent to the Nucleo board, unless it's from a project made with 1.3.0. Basically migrated projects seem broken.Thanks.

I am trying to design a tool that does the same as the "SWV Data Trace" in STMCubeIDE but by using GDB and a J-Link directly instead of the IDE. I have recorded the GDB traces (appended) and they show that the IDE writes to the configuration registers of my Cortex-M4 processor in order to set up the DWT and ITM registers correctly.But then I don't understand how "tracing" data comes back to the IDE since in the GDB trace nothing can be seen anymore after the configuration. Does this even happen over GDB? or does the IDE directly access some DLL functions of J-Link to read these values? CubeIDE 1.3I have an existing CubeIDE project for F401 and I try to start anpother new project based on its IOC.After start a new project from an IOC I get this message:

I am looking for some input on this.When debugging while using an external loader for the QUADSPI FLASH, why does the debugger not start at the breakpoint in main.c like it does when not using the external loader? In fact, there's no way to "Resume" whatsoever. The only way I'm able to debug is disable the external loader.Does this mean that every time I want to debug, I'll need to program the external FLASH first, then turn off the external loader and reload the internal FLASH every time I want to debug?

Tried to update to STM32CubeF0 V1.11.0 for the STM32CubeIDE v1.0.0 that I used.From the Help -> Manage embedded software packages.Getting an error about zip-file not available.Installing a new instance of STM32CubeIDE v1.3.0.Getting the same error for downloading when I try the Manage embedded software packages.OK, it says that I can load them manually with "From Local".So I found the STM32CubeF0 v1.11.0 on ST.COM site and download it.Hitting the "From Local" button and get this instead:

Hi !I succeed to build my makefile project on stm32cubeIDE, but i can't flash mu board (STM32F446RE) with my STlink. When i choose to debug as STM32 application it sends me this message. How can i flash otherwise?Thanks for your help !

I'm trying to learn some coding and STM32, and have been using STM32CubeIDE for some days now.But today it did an upgrade, and after that I can't download (or debug) my code.I have tried both OpenOCD and GDB-server.In OpenOCD it says:"Failed to execute MI command:target remote localhost:3333".And in ST-LINK GDB server I get the error below:"Failed to execute MI command:target remote localhost:61234".Both filas at around 89% (almost no SW in it, only toggling the LED).During this download phase, the SWD-LED is toggling between red and green (like it's downloading/communication).I have STM32 ST-LINK Utility installed as well, and there I can connect to the board.Any ideas on what in the update, that could have done this?(I can also mention that I'm a newbe on this, so I guess it's a quite simple solution).

Hello, With atollic, I can select segger-JTrace as debug probe. I can't do that with CubeIDE.Basically, this is a bug report as I did not find how to set one.Julien

I use STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.0.2.I chose STM32L4R5QGIx for MCU Reference. I did generate code. However, after that, I want to change the MCU Reference to STM32L4R5QII6 by operating STM32CubeIDE. Is it possible? What should I do if possible?

Hi,I wanted to start learning FreeRTOS. I'm working with a L082 device, using CubeIDE. In the config file, I only can select CMSIS-RTOS v1 interface, v2 is disabled. But there's no explanation why.So, I don't know if the device is unsupported by v2 or if there's something missing. I assume I can get it to work with v1, but...Regards

Hi, I am using an stm32f091rc board and I am trying to configure the systick settings so that I can run Freertos on my board. However, I get the error shown in the picture. Does anyone know a fix for this? I am hoping that it is not a limitation of the F0 architecture, but that may be the case. Any info is much appreciated.RESOLVED: needed to update ide

When I select the following options from the Project Explorer using "New->STM32 Project":One would expect that the project would be set up as a C++ project, especially considering that the option is presented to the user.However this is not the case.Choosing C or C++ produces exactly the same main.c and other files.This option seems to serve no purpose.Is there anything else I need to do to have the entire project work as a C++ project, or do I have to continue using the usual 'extern "C"' work-arounds that I'm currently using?

Using STM32CubeIDE version 1.0.2, I can create a "local C/C++ application", in this case, "hello world" that simply prints to the console, and it will create the proper file structure and compile a working x86 executable. I can execute this program under Windows 10 with no issues.When I try to debug the application from within STM32CubeIDE, I get a an error:Problem Occurred:'Launching hello-world.exe' has encountered a problem.Error with command: gbd --versionWhen I click on the "Details >>>" button, I see:Error with command: gdb --versionCannot run program "gdb": Launching failedIs there something else I need to install or configure to get this debug functionality in STM32CubeIDE?
