Not sure whether this is a GDB or Eclipse behavior, or "feature" of debug info created by gcc compiler...Debugger in CubeIDE and Atollic refuses to display pointers to volatile.For example: volatile char *ptr = some_func();It always says that such pointers are optimized out.Very annoying.Debugger rightly refuses to dereference ptr - but ptr itself is NOT volatile! Another debugger annoyance: consider a loop in one source line, like this:while ( foo == 0) {}When debugger tries to step over (F6) such line and the loop won't exit, the pause button (||) becomes unavailable and it's impossible to break in.The only available action is to stop debug session altogether.Optimization is either off or "optimize for debug" - neither helpsRegards,Pavel

Hello, two warnings are generated from the '.project' file in STM32CubeIDE with the references MCUEndUserDisabledTrustZoneProjectNature and MCURootProjectNature The file was generated by STM32CubeMX. Unfortunately I did not find anything in the Internet for both terms. Do you know how the warnings are triggered and how to solve the problem?Vincent

HelloI'm new to STM32 tools and i have installed STM32CubeIde. When i build a small project it takes over 1 min:1m.504ms. Is this due to a setting that i missed ?

I'm after some advice. I've just discovered the STM32 NUCLEO boards, and I've used many MPUs (Atmel, Microchip, TI) in the past. I'm a fairly experienced software developer, but this is strictly homer stuff.I've been trying to get the FreeRTOS/LWIP demo code working, and I've read the trials and tribulations of developers like Piranha, saying that out of the box, there are half a dozen reasons why it won't work. I think I found two or three on my own.Should I persevere, and use Piranha's guidance to get the apparently buggy STM32 development software working? Or should I go to a different MPU, where I'll have less functionality but perhaps an easier ride?

Hello ! I have an STM32F446RE with an STlink, i code on STM32CubeIDE. I created my program on linux and i flashed my card with makeload (makefile project). i have no longer access to this environmet so i tried to flash my card with STM32CubeIDE, and this error came. My uploads are up to date and i am absolutely sure it does not come from the code. Any suggestions? Thanks !

Hi,my team has the intention of using the STM32H745IIK6 in one of our products.We acquired a STM32H745i-disco board for developing the firmware, which has to be in C++.The problem is: we can't get a the IDE to build a C++ project, as it always seems to be expecting plain C (not recognizing C++ symbols).Can you send us a trivial sample project, configured to build C++ source files?Our schedules are tight and we should start making the first builds very soon.Many thanks,Filipe Tavares

Hi, I know Mask/ID list modes use different amount of filter banks, How do I configure each bank and enable all of them? If i recall, 32 bit/16 scales also change the amount of filter banks per mask mode or Id mode. The filterbank # is what defines which one is being modified. Hello, I just started work with STM32CubeIDE and I have hardware with STM32F103VC microprocessor. I made a new project. I set the debugger in options (I use Segger J-link).When I clicked on the debug the program (STM32Cube) frizzed. After that I tried second time with another options but than i even can't connect to the processor and it's bricked, I can't even flash with hex.I check with J-link commander and I can't establish communication with microprocessor. The Bootloader is blocked.

I am using STM32F429 DISCO board and X-CUBE DSPDEMO to perform FFT on an analog signal. The demo code comes with ADC1 IN0 configured for PA0. It performs FFT and displays the signal on LCD. I am trying to change the input pin to PA1 by changing definitions in the global.h file, but it doesnt work when i connect the input signal to PA1. After downloading and installing CubeIDE, when trying to launch the app, Mac says the app is damaged and needs to go into the trash. Redownloading and doing it again results in the same issue. To fix this problem, open Terminal and enter the following "xattr -cr /Application/STM32CubeIDE.app" This resets all the attributes within the package to allow the app to run.

Hello everyone,Regarding STM32 H7 family:My toolchain: STM32CUBEIDE and STM32CUBEMX.Please introduce me one of the "high speed" SDCARDs(more than 50MHz and up to 100MHz SPECIALLY for READING data),which is compatible with stm32 H7 family.Is there any reference to source codes(preferably based on STM32CUBEIDE) and schematic for using such SDCARDs?Can I READ data constantly and continuously and without any delay or pause?If not,what would be the minimum amount for this delay?Is it adjustable?Is there any special point or hint to use such SDCARDS? I am unable do debug in Stm32CubeIDE 1.2.1 because I'm getting the following message:"Failed to execute MI command". It is failing download verification:Error: Data mismatch found at address 0x08002814 (byte = 0x7B instead of 0x1A)  If I use the ST-Link program, the target is programmed and verification passes.

I purchased a self-published book called Mastering-STM32.pdf. The author apparently has quite an in with ST in Italy and I am using it for my learning of the STM system. The author's book intends for you to use the Eclipse IDE and STCube HAL to learn the system. In his book, the author handles all the setup nuances for Windows for the Eclipse IDE and the toolchain for STM development including his recommendation of the use of STCube HAL. But recent posts in the author's support page indicate that his readors might be better served in the Windows world by disregarding his setup instructions for the tool chain and going directly to the STL CubeIDE. So this is the approach I have taken.Now I find myself a bit confused in the CubeIDE and in how to interact with the CubeIDE to set up the various boards and the GPIO and interrupts for ST32. The author's book targeting STCube HAL and the CubeIDE do not seem to jive. Hi there,I am new to the STM32 microcontrollers and the STM32 Cube IDE, and I'm tasked with including a binary set of data in a program. Most of the code is generated with the CubeMX program to help me with initialization. Please be advised, that I can't post the code in the forum.Traditionally I would do so by linking it into the binary file during build. However, in the STM32 Cube IDE I can't find any way or option to do so, so I've resorted to incude it as a C-style array of values. As this set of binary data can change, or may be exchanged completely a number of times during development, this is a hassle, and would be avoidable by just including/linking the binary dataset from a file, then using the symbol names.Is there a way to do this in the IDE, which I just haven't found yet?Best regards,Nils

I am using STM32CubeIDE to generate the code.The only MAC address that will work is 02:00:00:00:01. This address shows up inthe LWIP\Target\ethernetif.c file in the static (void low_level_init(struct netif *netif) function. If I change it to anything else, the board no longer responds to ping.In the /* USER CODE BEGIN MACADDRESS */ section I tried assigning another MAC address to the board but the board then doesn't respond to ping. If I assign the MAC address as 02:00:00:00:00:01 in this section it does respond to ping.There is another reference to MAC addresses at Section 1: Ethernet peripheral configuration in the stm32fxx_hal_conf.h file.
