STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Hi all, I am currently writing a program that uses the STM32L432KC board (nucleol432kc) and a thermistor to obtain a temperature and then display that temperature on an LCD, a terminal screen, as well as turn an RGB LED on with different temperature ranges corresponding to different colours (ex. temp lower than 20 degrees C, blue led on...etc) Each component is currently working perfectly, the only extra thing I cannot figure out is how I can use PWM (and how to set up the configuration for it) to change the colours to different mixes of RGB. I have each leg of the RGB LED set as GPIO_Outputs, but I do not know what pin I should be setting as a timer if I want to use the PWM. I am using STM32CubeIde.I have attached the current configuration for my board, which does work perfectly fine (so ideally I wouldn't want to make any huge changes, mostly because whenever I do it gets rid of all of my code and even when I copy and paste it back there's usually some errors).

Hello, I'm working on low power application based on STM32H7A3 and I'm not able to get to work debugging together with STOP mode. When the MCU finish the STOP mode, next time I click on resume button the debugger give me message "Program received signal SIGTRAP, Trace/breakpoint trap. 0xa05f0000 in ?? I tried to setup ETM Trace using STM32CubeIDE on STM32F769I-Eval board  with J-Trace Pro, but IDE does not seem to support ETM trace, If it is, can you provide instuctions to setup ETM trace on STM32CubeIDE please?

Hello,I am new to stm programming so please bare with me. I got a STM32L496G-DISCO board and I have downloaded the examples for the board from: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF4/tree/master/Projects/STM32469I-DiscoveryI downloaded Cube IDE but the build button is greyed out. I thought - hey I need to select a toolchain and build tools but having used eclipse when I click on project properties those options are missing (I have attached some screenshots). I think that I am doing something wrong - can anyone help?:D

After update of STM32CubeIDE from 1.0.2 to 1.2 or 1.3 (or installing from the scratch with uninstall before) I can't run the debugger any more. I do not get any output or information in the Debug or Console window. I tried to use H7 with ST-Link and F4 with Segger J-Link, both with the same result.

Hi, ​I'm developing an application with freertos that starts from the address 0x08004000 instead of the standard 0x08000000, because at the start address I have a bootloader but I'm not able to debug the application. I changed the VTOR offset to 0x4000 in the startup file generated by the internal cubeMX, and I also added the following line in: startup - "Initialization Commands" of the debug configuration set *0xe000ed08 = 0x4000   set $sp = *(unsigned int*)0x4000   set $pc = *(unsigned int*)0x4004   tbreak main​I'm using jlink or in alternative stlink_v2 but nothing changes. The code is loaded always from address 0x08000000. Someone could help me? These settings are enough to debug a freertos application? Thanks in advance

I have had a lingering issue that rears its ugly head from time to time and is a huge productivity killer. I honestly cannot say what triggers the issue, or how to fix it. Hi, on our card with stm32L496 we have a boot partition that launch the principal application if an update is not required. All work find until i update cubeMX to version 5.6.0 ! Hi everyone,I am using a NUCLEO-G474RE and I am following the "How to use STM32CubeIDE" Tutorial:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eumKLXNlM0U&feature=youtu.beBut in the final step when I call the SWV Data Trace Timeline Graph no graph is plotted. I follow the same steps as in the tutorial. I set the SWV frequency to 80 MHz. Also, I go to the SWV Data Trace Timeline Graph settings, enable comparator 0, fill in the Var/Add field with LED_State, the "Access" field to Read/Write and the "Generate" field with Data Value + PC. Then I click on "Start Trace" and on "Resume" icon for the LED to continue blinking. What am I doing wrong ? Thank you in advance.

Hi...Here the problem so far: I have a well running debug configuration, everything runs fine on target. It´s programmed into memory (using internal and external flash via qspi) and now it comes to play around with the connected (custom-) hardware. Testing different input-settings, moving around jumpers and dip-switches, connecting different motors with (of course...) different settings, changeable via my software and so on.Of course i need to stop debugging, switch off the target, change my (hardware-) settings and restart debugging.If you have to do this for around 100 times per day, it can be very annoying, that EVERY time, i press the "debug"-button, the cube programmer starts and is flashing the same code again and again. I changed to CubeIDE recently and i really miss that feature, i´ve had in Visual Studio with VisualGDB on top: To flash the board only, if rebuilt since last time.Now the question: Am i just to stupid, to find it or is there even a

I want to use some C++17 new features. But current STM32CubeIDE with gcc version 7-2018-q2-update only support g++14.If I replace gcc tool chain with the latest version, could I get what I want?If yes, how to replace it?If no, is there any way?Thanks.

STM32CubeIDE live expression can not be changed in real time, this is a very useful function, ST engineer should consider it, because ST's competitor TI's CCS IDE are much better in this, ST should catch up

Hi ST Team,I'm working on a project with STM32CubeIDE and STM32F302 as target. I'm trying to add Segger System View but the preprocessor macro (__ARM_ARCH_7__) is missing.This preprocessor macro should be defined by IDE in base on the MCU target.Could you explain me something about that?
