STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Hello,I am trying to get FreeRTOS and SEGGER SystemView (3.1) to run on an STM32F103RCTx. I used the appropriate manual from SEGGER to include all the necessary folders in my project. Although I have included all the new folders in the Include Paths I get the following error when compyling:When searching for help with google, I often read that I have to update the Linker to see this new folder as a library. When I do so in the C/C++ settings I get the following error:

Hi all,I'm trying parse a large string stored on internal flash (up to 100 KB). Error is occurred around 60 KB.I tested the same string with cJSON on Visual Studio, and it work well.I think the problem is mcu doesn't have enough heap ram for cJSON.I have tried to modify Minimum Heap Size in Linker Settings, but nothing changed.jsonstr length 112393 [Bytes]Error before: 60760Error at: 60760Can anyone help me please. After choosing Help→Manage Embedded Software Packages and selecting from the list F3 package I get "Error downloading the file" (more details in attached picture). Tried downloading the file manually and installing using local copy, but also get an unzip error (see second picture).Is this a know issue? Or am I doing something wrong?

Hello, When debugging with a JTrace connected, "Segger JLink" selected as debug probe, RTOSPlugin_FreeRTOS as RTOS variant , I can't see tasks in the debug window.I'm using SWD.Basically, that's a bug report (how to fill one).I was thinking that cubeIDE would have been built on top of atollic adding new features. In fact, many features are missing in cubeIDE vs atollic. I'm a bit disappointed...best regards.Jullien

Hi everyone,how can i change the stm32Cube to Dark mode (black background) without change every single colour? If i change only background -> some letters will unvisible because it's black yet. I am working on FreeRTOS based firmware on a STM32F103 MCU in STM32CubeIDE. I have the NXP Task Aware Debugger installed, which works fine on displaying the Task List info, but the Heap Usage display does not work. No matter which LED port/pin i toggle, only one specific LED blinks. Also, the time delay in the code is not reflected. It would be great if someone can please help me out with this

Hi,I use HAL library to build code in CubeIDE. I use TIM1 channel 1 and 2 to output PWM.Channel 2 is changed pulse value to change PWM duty. When I repeat to set up this value. Sometimes, the register CC2P will be changed. But, I don't change polarity value. Compiling with a Release configuration seems to be correct because when connected via j-link, activating "Run" the console now prints "Starting target CPU" and "GDB closed TCP/IP connection" and the CPU starts. But disconnect SWIO and reset power and nothing happens. Assuming boot0 and NRST were wired correctly, would my CPU be expected to start when power is applied?

I am trying to learn the in and outs of the STM32 Nucleo. I made my own .h and .c files to control an LCD screen atteched to my nucleo. However in these files I am trying to use HAL_UART_Transmit to write to the screen. I included the HAL.h file but the uart1 instance is declared in the main.c file. Hi,I am currently using the Nucleo H743ZI board to interface with an SD card to Read/Write some data. I am using SDMMC in 1 bit mode to achieve this. I wrote the generic code (given below) to perform the write function. While using STM32CUBEIDE V1.2.0 however, I am unable to write data onto the SD card. During debugging I paused the program to check where the problem occurs. It appears as if the program never comes out of the f_mount function and is stuck there. Only a couple of days ago, I startet to work with STM32cubeIDE. I'm new with STM32 and also new with the cubeIDE, but I do need this in future for product development. I'm using a nucleo-L053R8 board.After starting a very simple test script to let blink a LED, I downloaded this a few times onto the board, using F11(Debug), which worked fine a few times. At any time, cubeIDE crashed an had to be killed by using task-manager. Invalid Input: Must be IFileEditorInput is the error i get when i open .ioc file Let's a i created project did generated code and saved it and closed the system. Say the next day i need to use it. There's no project file like in Keil MDK we have .uvprojx file format. Same way there's no file to access entire project explorer. I noticed that some documents about STM32CubeMX mentioned that, but I don't know how to use it with STM32 CubeIDE.

I feel like a complete ***** but darned if I can figure out how to do it.If I should be reading a tutorial somewhere let me know. Flames accepted gratefully.I am using Segger J-link, on a custom board. Debug configurations work fine, programming via SWIO. It works almost too well, because I haven't learned how it works.Possible alternatives are STM32CubeProgrammer or Segger J-link commander loadbin, but the CubeIDE must be able to just load a release binary and stand back. I have seen that a large part of the code used in STM32 uC examples comes from projects made with an Atollic compiler, and this can be one of the main problems for those who are trying to use STM32CubeIDE, since not all configuration windows are the same, in addition a manufacturer of hardware that provides an IDE without dedicated examples ends up hindering development, and as a result, the abandonment of products, in search of other manufacturers that provide better support to obtain the final product in less time.

HiI cloned a STM32Cube project that was developed on a windows 10 machine to my 18.04 ubuntu machine and opened the project.When I click on the .ioc file (and expect to get an overview of the CPU) I get a blank sheet and the laptops fan increase it's speed (so it does something).Do STM32Cube need a special version of Java for example?If STM32Cube need the latest Java, how do I tell it to use a specific version ?Do I need a special version of eclipse or Qt ?Regards

I'm using .c and .S (for assembler) files in my project. I also using '#include' in the .S files as the GNU compiler pre-process the .c files same as .S files. If I change a #define in a C header file, wich is included in a .S file, the affected .S file is not re-compiled. It worked in my previous IDE 'CooCox', but not in STM32CubeIDE. What do I need to change in the options?
