Hi, I'm a newbee in this community and my first post is related to an already existing one: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/stm32cubeide-with-svn-subversion-which-files-folders-to-ignore/td-p/253294  Usually we have \project\.settings\language.settings.xml under version control - but changes in this file seem to be not relevant to track it.  This time, my problem is not related to hardware or firmware.What happened was that when I closed Cube IDE during my lunch break, everything was normal... but when I came back and opened it again, the interface colors had changed, which I don't like, and personally, I find that appearance visually uncomfortable.As you can see in the attached image, the gray color where I write code seems to have a haze over it. How can I correct it so that it looks like a solid, dark tone like the part below? Thank you for your help. My eyes and I will greatly appreciate it.           

Good morning.Using CubeIDE both v1.19 and v2.0.0 with Debian Linux v11.11.I'm seeing very high processor usage, 300% and higher, all of it java based even when there is no activity in the IDE.  Is there an explanation available for this usage, or is there a way to bring the usage back down out of the stratosphere, or is there just a leak that's causing this?  It doesn't really appear to be affecting anything bigtime so this is just an information inquiry.  System monitor screenshot attached.Just for information, I was using IDE v2.0 for a few days then found it upgraded to v2.1.  v2.1 uses a later version of libc and doesn't run on my Debian 11.11 system. 

Upgraded to v2.  I know this is a general question and I can elaborate but I'm having issues with my project NOT finding files.  First, has there been some change in the formatting for the entries in the Include portion of the project properties, General, Paths and Symbols...?  I'm doing a project where the paths are provided in an .xml file to be imported.  Most of it works but it appears some random files are not found.  I say random because if I fix one, two or more files are not found.  There must be some formatting issue OR maybe I'm not clear of the ORDER of the includes that may make a difference.  I've gotten the errors to drop from 15 down to 2, then fixing those 2 then results in 5 more.  I'm doing something incorrectly and not recognizing the problem, most likely.   Any suggestions would help. During debugging its showing pop_up notification like  Failed to enable live expression, connection failed but when i am click ok, after that its start downloading. what could be the reason for that one.   

Hello. When I press to Run (Run main.c) button, STM32CubeIDE opens random file, possibly, from current repository, for example: startup_stm32l452xx.s, core_cm4.h etc... Code is loading successful, but this side effect bothers me. I would like to disable this function. How can I do it? If you need more information about this behavior please, ask.  Hi. I am new to STM32 microcontroller. I started with STM32Cube IDE. So far everything is good until a build of a template project failed. I changed the directory structure of template project and moved folders Src, Inc and Startup to project root and removed Core folder. Now project wouldn't build. Although it generates binaries but with errors. I have also updated the Include paths in project properties but linker keeps failing. This is not a big deal I can move everything back to its original position and it will compile and link without any issue. I am just curious that what is missing. Just want to know what is going wrong. I'm working on my first development projects on the STM32H755, which has two M7 and M4 cores. I need to display the printout on the ITM console while debugging. For example:The main.c file of M7 has the following code:..... while(1) { printf("Welcome Cortex-M7\n"); HAL_Delay(2000); } .....The same is true in the main.c file of M4 with the following code:..... while(1) { printf("Welcome Cortex-M4\n"); HAL_Delay(1000);} .....Before debugging, I configured the ITM console with SWV on the STM32CubeIDE environment, following the YouTube video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zwylu6ma9gU

Hello, I am beginner with STM32.I have some radiosonde boards with an STM32L051R6T6. I use STM32CUBE IDE V2.0.0When I start a project, select the appropriate MCU, there is no Core directory and no ".IOC" file.So, it is impossible to access to the GPIOs.I've tried some ways to do that and allways unseccessfull. Please, have you an idea ? NoticeI use also an STM32F103C8T6 board.  I've create my own GPIO lib, my own I2C lib,  and I can compile, flash, debug and run my program. I have a project where if I right click on the project in the project explorer, the IDE just hangs. I've tried opening the project in a different workspace, so it's not (I think) a workspace issue. Other workspaces/projects are just fine. Anyone experienced this? Know of a way to fix it? v1.16 on Mageia Linux, using KDE, not using Wayland. Thanks.

Hi, I am trying to debug my STM32N6570-DK board, i followed the steps listed under 4.1.3 (Debugging the application) in the getting started instruction list (https://www.st.com.cn/resource/en/application_note/an6265-getting-started-with-stm32n6-mcus-in-stm32cubeide-stmicroelectronics.pdf). When i try to debug the application, it starts normally (code uploads to the external memory), but when i click resume to start the program, the debugger loses connection and eventually exits debug mode. The program I am trying to debug was made using TouchGFX, it's configured as an FreeRTOS project. Hi I am just getting started with STM32CubeIDE for a project I am doing at my university!I have made an account and installed the software, and I got the board (NUCLEO-L552ZE-Q), I wanted to start a new project with the board to try and blink and LED.But somehow I cant find it anywhere where to create a new project that is not an empty project because I want my board automatically connected to my project, because I have read some online where they said a question "Initialize all peripherals with their default Mode?" will appear once you created a new project and want to connect the board.The alternatives I get when pressing Create/Import STM32 Project is:1. I recently updated to Linux Mint 22 (Cinnamon 6.8, kernel 6.8.0, Ubuntu 24.04) by means of the "generic Linux" version. (I had tried without success the Debian package and was advised to use the "generic" instead).The software works and compiles OK as long as you do not try to launch or debug the result. At this point it stops complaining that it cannot find gdb because libncurses.so.5 is not installed.  The problem lies in the fact that  libncurses5 is deprecated and non longer available (you can get libncurses5-dev but that is of no avail).At this point I reverted to the old 1.10 version that I still had, and found the same problem.  The only solution seems to be an upgrade of STM32CubeIDE to libncurses6.Do you have any solution or a forecast for such an upgrade? I hate thinking of switching to  a different processor line.Tranks

Hello, I installed STM32CubeIDE and attempted to set up my first project as you can see in the three attachments.Based on YouTube videos, I expected to see the MCU outline so I can assign functions to the pins.  As you can see in one of the screenshots, I'm getting a message stating that "There is no active editor that provides an outline"I did the following to try and address this, with no luck...   *  Uninstalled and Reinstalled STM32CubeIDE, including manually deleting folders that were not removed by the automated removal process.  To be safe, I used a different project folder name but this didn't help.  *  Installed STM32 on a second Windows 11 laptop but saw the exact same problemI didn't bother trying older versions of STM32CubeIDE because I read in a different post that this did not solve the problem for the other user.Any help is appreciated.

Hello,Does anyone know if there is a stack analyzer tool / plugin available in CubeIDE, in particular to analyze the stacks dynamically allocated in ThreadX Memory pools?Also, under ThreadX Thread List, there is a "stack usage" column.  This column is always blank (or N/A), is there something that needs to be done to enable the "stack usage"?
