STM32 MCUs Software development tools

I can't seem to read the OTP bits on the stm32N6 with any of my boards with 2.22 of the stm32CubeProgrammer.   But i can on version 2.21 Everything else works fine with the chip. 

Hi,Having just updated to STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1, I've created an STM32CubeIDE Empty Project (the only apparent relevant option) targeting the STM32F072 Discovery Kit as I want to experiment with the touch sensing capabilities, however when the project is created I don't see an IOC file. Has the workflow reverted to using STM32CubeMX to create the IOC file etc. please?Kind regards,Al

So I have the STM32 CUBE suite - and I remember there is a means to select example projects to start from.HOWEVER - I cannot find that any more :(Mr Google tells me to do this:Start STM32-CUBE, select FILE->NEW->OTHER->Create New STM32 ProjectThis does not provide me with ready made examples to choose from. These are very stripped down, not even hello world, just a main() with a endless for(;;) loop. With the default oscillator/clock.I'm sure you have seen the BOARD selector, you select the chip, the board and you can pick examplesThat is what I am looking for.  Where is that?

In my application I would like to read and write to the SDcard using the MDMA as indicated in the reference manual of my micro-controller. Hi,using STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1 and STM32CubeMX 6.17, I'm a little confused on how to import an existing ioc-file created by CubeMX into an existing project in CubeIDE. And to later modify it.Confusion is drawn from this tutorial: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/stm32cubeide-2-0-0-workflow-tutorial/ta-p/864831 At the end, it is somehow saying to use the import function of CubeIDE for an ioc-File which is located (physically) on a different location than the project itself (ioc-file in §2.3 tutorial c:/users/ST/Documents while project is in workspace 2.0.0, from which I assume it is stored in a different folder).Then, later on in §2.5, MCU gets some modification (added I2C in the example) and code is newly generated (in c:/users/ST/Documents and CubeIDE requires a refresh (F5) to capture the updated MC

I am using a stm32 F103RCT6 mcu. It has 256 Kb of flash memory. But when i connect it to cube programmer, it shows there are 256 sectors of 2K size which equates to 512 Kb flash.  I was even able to go to that last page and write data to it. so is the linker script generated by HAL wrong?

Hi,I’m trying to use VSCode extensions but i find it hard to understand and debug my workflow constantly. When i want to create new project i first generate code scaffold in CubeMX. Then i use VSCode extension to configure the project, then i try to build or flash my project to the board and im met with huge amount of errors with cmake, toolchains etc. I Think im missing something here becouse it’s impossbile to work like that. If you have any ideas what am i doing wrong please leave your suggestions. Id be happy to provide any additional details too.

I have a complex product where I am running multiple micros with firmware that needs to be debugged. I have 2 stlinks plugged in. But I am stumped at trying to get the VSCode STM32 extensions to target a specific stlink. My launch.json is using stlinkgdbtarget as the debug type."serverArgs" is where I have tried ["-i","<stlinkserial>"] but the debug session launches and in the debug output it prints multiple stlink devices detected, so the session fails. Is there a way to debug if the serverArgs are even being used?Is there a different way to select a stlink?

Split from this thread. Hi mƎALLEm, Thanks for this reply and confirming that the OSC_OUT can be used as GPIO when HSE in bypass mode. Can  you please advise I do I set this as a GPIO? CubeMX does not allow me to configure this pin. Should this be hand coded to make this possible? Thanks. Regards Billy

When using the IOC file in the attachment to generate code with an operating system, MDK-ARM V5.32 is selected. It is found that the directory ..\Middlewares\Third_Party\FreeRTOS\Source\portable\GCC is missing, resulting in compilation failure in Keil.

Hello, I noticed that when showing differences between the current and the previous generated source code the width of the source code window does not even show 80 characters even though there is plenty of room in the application window (see screenshot attached). I spent quite a bit of time looking at the HAL source code when debugging and the source code is not formatted to 80 character lines anyway. Sometimes it exceeds 80 by a wide margin.  Would it make sense to show the source code window as a popup or as wide as the application window allows?Thank you,Gil

Created a STM32H743II prj with I2S2 enabled, half-duplex slave receive mode, and DMA1 S0 bounded to SPI2_RX, to work with an ADC in master mode. Can't get data from the ADC ( DMA linked mem area always zero ), while my oscillograph can properly decode the ADC I2S data output pin ( CK & WS pin also connected between the ADC board and the H743 board, and the oscillograph ). In cube, the SDI pin is mapped to SPI2_MISO, PB14. But as a slave, shouldn't the correct SDI pin map to SPI2_MOSI, PB15? So I modified the cubeMX generated code manually, by changing PB14 to PB15 in the I2S2 GPIO initialization sector, and it worked, the DMA linked mem area shows the same value on my oscillograph. Is this a cubeMX bug?
