STM32 MCUs Software development tools

This error pops up everytime I try creating a new STM32 project when downloading the selected files during the first stages of creating a project. My internet connection is fine and this wasn't an issue some weeks back with the last project I created. Any assistance on this issue from anyone will be very helpful because I'm a quite a newbie to CubeIDE. Thanks.

I was trying to implement emulated EEPROM and I think I set the EEPROM page area right into the critical option bytes area. Notably, this didn't happen until I added the actual eeprom_emul.c and flash_interface.c files into the cmake configuration, compiled and flashed the program once. This obviously makes a call to "HAL_FLASH_UNLOCK()" so I think it's pretty messed up. Either way, after this, I could not flash the chip beyond 0x80000050, additionally, it would instantly lock up on boot. I believe my Option Bytes were also grenaded.  PCROP_RDP turned itself on, ESE turned itself on and the rest I am unsure of changes. Either way, I managed to turn off RCROP_RDP by setting RDP to 1 and then to 0. After this, flashing the chip, fills every line with the same repeating nonsense bytes. So I think write protection is disabled, but it's still uploading nonsesen. Notably, trying to hit "full chip erase" does not work, and just hangs. Now ESE remains checked. When try

Hi, can someone please check what is wrong here: CubeMX/CubeIDE generates an STM32WB55 linker/memory map that places .MB_MEM2 in an SRAM2 region that bus-faults after the installed wireless stack reserves/protects SRAM2. A manually adjusted linker script placing MB_MEM1/.MB_MEM2 at 0x20038000 works.  Observed: Generated/bad .MB_MEM2: 0x200301E4..0x20030A67Edited/Working .MB_MEM2: 0x200381BC..0x20038A3F The CubeMX-generated .ld file gives this fault:HardFault before main()CFSR = 0x00000400 = IMPRECISERRStacked PC = 0x080048CE, inside LoopCopyDataInitR0/R1/R2 match .MB_MEM2 copy bounds Attached .map .ld  .ioc> STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD freq=1000 mode=HOTPLUG -fusg

There does not seem to be any way of viewing a debug variable in hex.The closest workaround is to prefix (void*) before the expression in the watch window. This is no good for viewing an array of hex digits like for example a CAN bus message.

CubeProgrammer 2.22.0 under MacOS 26.4.1 is not able to connect to my NUCLEO-G431, with the log window showing:ST-LINK error (DEV_CONNECT_ERR)Strange thing is this only happens when I have a direct cable connection between the USB-C port on the Mac and the ST-LINK V3 USB on the board - it works as expected if I connect via a USB-C hub.VS Code is also not able to connect to the board to run a debug session without the hub, so I suspect this is an ST-LINK USB driver issue on the Mac.

So I have a series of PIN configured as Application and/or Boot only but, for some reason, the CubeMX generates the code on both main.h in Appli and Booti.e.I have PC0 set as Application only context but I found it in the Boot as well 

Hello.I installed a new version of the IDE, exactly this:st-stm32cubeide_2.1.1_28236_20260312_0043_x86_64The problem is that the menu option "Manage embedded packages" is missing:I checked this on two computers with Windows 10.During the installation, there were no error messages.What can be done about this? 

As in attached image, the build hammer icon is greyed out after importing project made in STM32CubeMX version -- 6.17.0 to CubeIDE version -- 2.1.1.I have selected tool chain as STM32CubeIDE in the Project Manager in CubeMX and after generating the code, i tried by opening the project from CubeMX as well as importing project to CubeIDE.MCU : STM32G474 series. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi all,What is the recommended way to not crush our repository and dynamically pull/generate the project's Drivers and Middleware folders?  For instance, our repository has both Bootloader + Application code projects in a repo (and other MCU projects/layouts for the same board).Is there something similar to Platform.IO (or C#'s NuGet packages) where the platform maintains those 3rd-party files in a volatile location and pulls them if they don't exist on your machine? Especially for the sake of not checking into the repo duplication of +15 MB worth of files for each project.Please excuse me if this was already asked. I didn't quite find a solid answer.I'm ok with making a command line script that auto-pulls them too, if that's a possibility.

Are there plans to update CubeMX to support MacOS 27 and later? I have just installed 6.17.0 under MacOS 26 and I get a warning to say the installer will not work with later versions:This is because support for the Intel translation layer will be removed (M series Macs are now into their 5th year).Note the CubeMX app itself does not get this - just the installer.

hello,When using MDMA (STM32H753), and more than one transfer, the code generated doesn't align correctly the struct MDMA_LinkNodeTypeDef. Hello, I was wondering where the installed software packs are stored on the disk? I would like to have a look at the content and the examples, assuming e.g. the HAL pack or the Nucleo board pack contains these examples.

IN short, it's not working. I normally use the standard (not x-cube) and L5 processors.  I'm going to the U5 processors for a larger project.  I've gone to Cube MX 6.17.0 and CubeMXIDE 2.1.1. I'm trying to install the ST-Link USB Drivers following the instructions here. However, the STM32Cube Resources section does not include ST-Link USB Drivers.I'm running the latest versions on VS Code and STM32CodeIDE extension. 

I have a STM32H730 Project, using CubeIDE V1.17.0. Code executing from the internal Flash.I have located some functions into ITCM,added a new .itcram section to the linker LD fileadded __attribute__((section(".itcram"))) to my functions I want in ITCMat startup I copy from FLASH to ITCM This builds and runs okay, the functions in ITCM execute as expected.But, I can't Debug Step into any function located in ITCM, it just steps over the function.I can set a breakpoint in a ITCM function, but it never halts there, just ignores the breakpoint. How can I step into functions located in ITCM?Do I need to tell GDB that I have instruction code in ITCM? Thanks.

X-CUBE-FREERTOS for STM32U0. I don't see the configUSE_TIME_SLICING parameter in the GUI. It's also missing from the generated FreeRTOSConfig.h file.What multitasking mode will be used?

Hello, I am using CubeMX2 Version 1.0.0 on macOS Silicon. Various software packs fail to install with a 404 error like this: Could not fetch content of pack-URL: https://developer.st.com/st-pack-server/api/v1/pack/STMicroelectronics.rot_provisioning.2.0.0.pack, got: 404 - Not Found The following packs where tested and failed: rot_provisioning eeprom_emulation mcuboot fileX usbX (now installed via local pack from https://dev.st.com/stm32pc/) Is this an error on my side, similar to the proxy or certification issues I saw in other tickets or are these packs just not available YET? Secondly, I see support packs for e.g. the L4 MCU series: "stm32l4xx_dfp". What is the point of having these packs if CubeMX2 will not support these MCUs?

With STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0, i generate a CMake project for STM32U073CCT6. The generated startup file has a DMA1_CHannel1_IRQHandler instead of DMA1_Channel1_IRQHandler.
