STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

I created a static library using STM32Cube IDE and included it in a non-library project. Both projects build with no errors or warnings, and the application that uses this library runs correctly. My next step was to create an additional static library project and include the original static library in it. I can find no way to do this in STM32Cube IDE. Can anyone point me to project properties for a static library that will allow me to use a different static library I created?

Hello EveryoneI am using the latest STM32CubeIDE i.e. 1.10.1, and I am facing a strange problem.In the register view of the Special Function Register, I have a problem.As can be seen above the RCC->CR register value is 0x30006783This means that Bit 28 and Bit 29 are set, these bits are PLLSAIRDY and PLLSAION, but here it looks like some wrong mapping is done, these two bits are not shown in the SRF view

Hi all,I'm trying to create a new STM32CubeIDE project for the STM32N6570-DK board and use the BSP drivers. For now I'm just trying to do something simple like display camera output on the onboard LCD (or something simpler like displaying text on lcd). I’ve already added the driver files and their dependencies to my project. I just started to look into this chip for a new project, so I decided to try to build a sample program in the Cube IDE. It seemed to work until I tried to enable I3C. Now the build system is complaining about missing files. The missing file is 'stm32h7rsxx_util_i3c.h', the error is '.../Drivers/STM32H7RSxx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32h7rsxx_util_i3c.c':20:10: fatal error: stm32h7rsxx_util_i3c.h: No such file or directory'. Where can I find this file and where do I put it? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hello All, I am trying to use the SWV Statistical Profiler in STM32CubeIDE while debugging a stm32H7. I am also using ThreadX RTOS for the project.  I am getting debug output from the SWV Trace Log.  But nothing is appearing in the SWV Statistical Profiler.  The RED button is not grayed out - but it also does not log anything after pressing record when debug is paused. and then resuming.I have ITM Stimulous port 0 checked and PC Sampling and Timestamps checked, as well as EXETRC checked. I am wondering is this something that is disabled when using an RTOS?  I understand that the output will be spread between tasks. I am also running STMCubeIDE on linux. Any Help/Tips AppreciatedThanks,-Trevor         

Hello all.Im starting to work with the Nucleo L476RG board and am now at the stage i would like to bring up the CAN bus. I haven noticed there are CAN bus examples available for other Nucleo baords but not in the current STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.18.1 for the L476. Is this available or been ported to the L476?Many thanksRich

I am successfully using all the SWV debugging functionality in STM32CubeIDE except for the ITM functionality, as described in UM1609 and in the advanced debugging videos on youtube from ST.I have both tried overriding the "_write " function in main.cpp or replacing "__IO_putchar" with "ITM_SendChar" in syscalls.c, but I don't see any output when using printf and ITM port 0 (described in video 4 and section 4.3.5 in UM1609).I have further tested sending output to ITM port 31, as described in video 5, but still cannot see any output.Some details and further questionsSWO is left unconnected - Do I need to connect the SWO to some other pin to make ITM work?I am running at 180 MHz clock speed - Is this too fast for ITM?Does it matter if I compile for cpp rather than c?Are there any benefits to updating an ITM port, like in video 5, rather than updating a global variable and observing the execution order by l

My autoomplete shows "no default proposals" when plrssing CRTL+Space and do nothin when typing "." or "->" or any other trigger...Some people solved this enabling "Parsing-based Proposals" in the "Content Assis -> Advanced" tab but mine is enabled and not working... I am encountering a persistent flash programming issue on the STM32L452RE microcontroller using STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeProgrammer. The device is connected via an ST-LINK V2 debugger using the SWD interface. The problem occurs during firmware flashing: although the flash erase operation completes successfully, the subsequent write operation fails consistently with the error message “Error finishing flash operation”. I have a FreeRTOS project but I cant use xTaskCreate even though its in the paths list (see image below)Frustratingly this is the exact same set up I was using last week in a similar project that worked but today.... no dice.Why isn't the compiler finding the references? They all exist in the directories in the paths & includes list. In fact if I right click & ask to find the definition Cube quite happily opens the correct file, so why cant the compiler find them?I check that the flag for the xTaskCreate define was set correctly (it is).EDIT :: User error, I forgot to delete the GCC folders for all the other ARM_CMxx processors that I'm not using. Hence I was getting what were in fact multiple define errors.

As described in this post during installation of CubeIDE on Ubuntu 24.04 an error is presented because libncurses5 is not available for Ubuntu 24.04. This can be worked around by using the generic installer. When attempting to upload firmware to an MCU, however, the same error message is given (it is shown as "Could not determine GBD version", but in details the missing libncurses5 is shown). The solution to a similar problem is given in this post, but the solution does not work for the CubeIDE as it requires a specific version of libncurses to be installed.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, I'e been working with a fw stm32 MCUs products in the last years and I want to decide which is the best way to proceed in the "update to latest version" of CubeIDE.The point is: once i start a project, I usually keep the same CubeIDE version till the end, just to avoid regressions during time-stringent situations. At the end, I feel the need to update to the latest available "to be sure to have all latest bug-fixes" before starting a new one, even though the updates might not impact on my work.This need always, and I mean it, always end up with me uncovering as we say "hot water", some bugs (as live expression bug in 1.19.0) and running to recover from the heartache, picking all modifications applied on a new project (thank you git) started in an older "more reliable" version of CubeIDE.As of today my main question might be: based on your experience, among the last couple of years releases which is the most reliable version of Cub

Dear Sir/Madam , I have imported BSP package for the stm32F429zi-disc1 board to the stm32cube ide and connected to the disc1 board over STLink Interface and then tried to start debugging ; but I could not download the executable file and I have got the following error. I have also upgraded the firmware of the STLink on the Disc1 board to the latest one. But I have got the same result. Firmware version of the board is V2J46M33 . Im wondering about these structural template. About how to import these template(like can i create a template like that, for both nested-project and structural tree like the st-model-zoo application code) in STCubeIDE?Moreover, Can you guys gimme some related documents about the hierarchical project's template and multicore template?

I have Windows 11 running on Parallels and can't get ST-Link working. Will I be able to complete the STM32CubeIDE Basics course on a MacBook Pro (MacOS) with Apple silicon? I'm asking because the course prerequisites specifically call for a Windows PC. I've been using Nucleo-F411 and F446 boards for 3rd party training exercises with no problem.

Dear community,we are using custom binary images, that need to be flashed to our stm32 controllers for debugging. Images contain some additional information not contained in elf-file so flashing the elf is not sufficient.With JLink debug launcher we can simply do this:But with ST-Link (both STLink GDB server and OpenOCD) this is not allowed.So I wanted to load the binary via an additional entry in "Load Image and Symbols" (which effectively calls STM32CubeProgrammer for flashing):

Had the same issue, pins get lost when exporting with CubeIDE. I opened the exportet symbol file and they are not there, so it must be a CubeIDE or UltraLibrarian error. However, the STM32 MCU I wanted to use is also in the standard KiCad Library "MCU_ST_STM32F1", so I just used this one. Although it is more time consuming, you can consider labeling the nets or adding comments according to the pin names of your CubeIDE project. When I try to log into myST from the IDE, it literally does nothing. I click on the button, but no window pops up, nothing happens in the browser, nothing happens in the IDE, no new windows are created. I don't even get any output on the CLI (if I start the IDE from the CLI). What is going on here? This is my version

I wish you are doing great!My problem is, I'm working on nucleo-f439zi board, in the reference manual, in register Flash-OPTCR, bit 4 is BFB2.But, when I choose the correct board (Nucleo-F439ZI), and go to debug mode, then SFRs, I only find F429 registers, no F439!In another words, if I'm correct, there's no SVD for the nucleo-f439 on STM32CubeIDE v1.11.A picture is attached, sorry for the low quality.Thank you in advance.
