STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Hallo, I'm facing with a problem of IDE v.1.18.1 crash starting from early today (OS Windows 11).This version has been being used al least 3-4 months , and even yesterday everything worked fine.Once I try to open IDE, it pretends to look for some updates and crashes almost immediately.There are no spaces in paths; I didn't make any changes at all.Does anyone has a clue, what could go wrong?I still can run IDE 1.12.1, but i cannot update it to ver. 1.18.1.

I am using a STM32H745, STLINK-V3SET probe, and STM32CubeIDE.I have noticed that when I connect the debugger to the running core the core gets paused for ~2.5 seconds.Is there a way to connect the debugger to a running core without it pausing?Settings:Download=false,Verify flash download : Not checkedReset Behaviour=NoneSet breakpoint at : Not checked

I upgraded STM32CubeIDE to version 1.14.1 today and can no longer connect with my target.  The process  of updating CubeIDE also updated my STLink-V3PWR debugger to V3PWR V4.J3.B1.P4.  Now, programs that downloaded and ran just fine yesterday won't download with the "Target no device found" error.  The STMCubeMonitor-Power (version 1.2.1) software can take control, power on the target, get the temperature, reset my target board and can run the ULP Bench Test and report a ULPMark Score.  That leads me to believe STMCubeMonitor-Power can download and run a program and my target board is still working. I don't have any other target boards available to try right now.STM32CubeProgrammer gives a "Error: No STM32 target found!" I'd appreciate any suggestions about how to fix this issue before I try rolling back the firmware on the debugger.Here's the error I get in the CubeIDE Console windowSTM

I spent the time to learn how to get it up and running so that you don't have to. What I am explaining here was done on Win 10. My CubeIDE version was 1.6.1.Downloading and copying the files:At the time I installed it, STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.0 was current. I downloaded it from here.After extracting the zip file, open a File Explorer window and go to the directory "<extractedFiles>\en.stm32cubeh7_v1-9-0_v1.9.0\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.0\Drivers\CMSIS\DSP"In the above directory, you will notice two folders: "Include" and "Lib". Dear all, I am using Nucleo-F446RE and also Nucleo-F103RB.As you may know precise clock testing require for some application.For testing purpose always change RCC as Bypass HSE clock from STLINK on this case.Recently I have used Nucleo-F446RE as above but behavior is different as failure on startup.I have tried simple test on both Nucleo-F103RB and Nucleo-F446RE.F103RB's result is correct. Bypass clock is worked.I had reflashed STLINK side as latest build on both unit.So STLINK side has no delta. Using environment CubeIDE 1.19.0 with included CubeMX.Now I am looking F446RE SystemClock_Config in detail.

Hello, I am using the SWV viewer successfully to output messages from the microcontroller at runtime. This is a nice tool and usually it works fine.  When I run an application for a longer time (e.g. over night) I get this errorI did consider the trace buffer as a buffer like outputting to a UART. What is happening there?regards Alexander

Hi all,I keep running into a circular include problem in STM32 CubeMX projects:main.h is auto-generated and contains pins and peripheral handles.main.c must include main.h (CubeMX forces it).User modules (i2c_user, adc_user, etc.) need access to pins/handles, but including main.h in them causes circular dependencies.Workarounds I’ve tried:Creating a board.h wrapper — but CubeMX regenerates main.h, so it requires constant manual updates.Passing handles/pins as function arguments — clean but cumbersome.Including user modules only in main.c — works, but feels messy and unclear.  My question: How do you handle this in real-world CubeMX projects? HiI am trying to switch a project from one MCU to the another. I made a new IOC file in MX and then replaced the existing IOC file in my IDE project with my fresh file. The overall configuration is identical except for the pinout, and I use a mix of HAL and LL libraries. The Drivers folder is giving me a boat-load of errors, but all of my user code seems to be fine.I have tried cleaning/rebuilding the project, starting fresh with just the new IOC file, deleting the Drivers folder, saving and regenerating code, and more. The errors won't go away. I have attached the output.What can I do to fix this? Are there any common mistakes or recommended fixes for this situation?

HelloI am using STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.19.0Build: 25607_20250703_0907 (UTC)OS: Windows 10, v.10.0, x86_64 / win32Java vendor: Eclipse AdoptiumJava runtime version: 21.0.3+9-LTSJava version: 21.0.3 When I include libraries into my stm32 project I drag and drop a folder (from the windows explorer) int the project predefined folder "Drivers". In a second step I need to set the paths for the C-compiler, C++ compiler and linker seperately.  To do so I open the procect preferences and add a path for the C compiler: In this case The project name is TST_CCS811. and the folder to add is DebugPrintf. I click ok. - path for this folder set. 

I am using an STM32G431CBT6. I wrote code to toggle an LED in stm32cubeide. When I build the project in STM32G431, the LED stays permanently ON. However, when I power the board OFF and ON again, the LED starts toggling. Why is this happening?

In the STM32Cube_FW now is released project using "STM32CubeIDE".I can import the project to STM tools without issue.However, I have a new client which they are using "Eclipse" and does not want to make changes for project.Is there a simple way to import or convert the project which can be used ?I tried just import the project but did not work.Orphaned configuration. Hi,I recently downloaded and installed en.st-stm32cubeide_1.17.0_23558_20241125_2245_amd64.sh.zip onto Debian Bookworm (fully updated). This proceeded without any errors or warnings.On starting the IDE, a blank (i.e. black window) was presented, within the Information Center tab, that did not list any documentation. When I used a previous version of the IDE, this tab then showed links to various documents. Has this functionality been left out of the current version of the IDE ?What do I now have to do in order to get the Information Center tab in the IDE to now show the links to the documentation ?Stuart

Hi everyone,I am currently working on the STM32N6570-DK board and trying to interface a camera to display the output on an LCD screen. I have run the provided example projects, and they are working fine.Now, I am creating a project in STM32CubeIDE and configuring peripherals in the .ioc file. However, I am facing an issue with the DCMIPP and CSI peripheral in the multimedia section. When I change certain parameters, such as the Physical Bitrate in CSI from 600 MHz to 750 MHz, the changes do not reflect in the main.c file.It seems that these parameters are being configured elsewhere. Could someone clarify where these settings are applied, or is this a bug?Also, I noticed that some configurations are present in the MX_DCMIPP_Init() function in this

I was using STM32CubeIDE 1.10.1 today, and something went strange with the .ioc editor. I was clicking on a pin to set it as GPIO_In, and suddenly the editor seemed to reset as if it had just been opened afresh (frame sizes reset and view position of the pins diagram changed). After that the editor was completely unresponsive and I noticed 'java' was using 100% of the CPU.I killed the java process and tried to restart, but it remained stuck on the splash screen. It has been a while since I updated the IDE so I downloaded 1.12.1 to see if it would help. I found that 1.12.1 will run ok if I set the workspace as an empty folder, but if I try to use the original workspace, then 1.12.1 will also freeze at the splash screen.
