STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

 Hey there,I’m trying to enable SPI on the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 using the Template_XIP project from STM32CubeH7RS, but I’m running into issues.First, I tried enabling SPI1 through CubeMX on the Template_XIP project, but it didn’t generate the necessary driver code. When I build, I get this error:/Users/++++++/STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_H7RS_V1.2.0/Projects/NUCLEO-H7S3L8/Templates/Template_XIP/Appli/Src/main.c:167:(.text.MX_SPI1_Init+0x96): undefined reference to `HAL_SPI_Init'collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit statusmake: *** [makefile:66: Template_XIP_Appli.elf] Error 1 So I made a new project from scratch for the same board, copied the relevant config from Template_XIP, and now CubeMX does generate the SPI code. Hello :)I am wondering if there is a "how to" for how to build the stdlibc++ library for STM32 gcc tools.  I am in need of a stripped down stdlibc++ library to link with.  Can anyone point me to a link or can you walk me through it?The reason I ask, is because my compiled binary has included things like std::__cxx11::time_get and std::time_get.  There are 8 instances of this variant each with 2.76K in size.  We are using c++ but we certainly aren't using anything related to time.  Locale is another thing we aren't using.  There are two instances of std::locale::_Impl::_Impl(unsigned it) which is 1.82K in  size as well.  These functions appear in the binary even though we are using compiler flags -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections and linker flags -Wl,--gc-sections.I need to get rid of the "fluff" that isn't used from libstdc++. I would like to build libstdc++ with -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections

I am using stm32f407 in stm32cubeide. When I tried to follow the steps in the forum to access the DSP library, I found that there was no CMSIS/lib in my firmware package. Neither in both firmware package follows.This is my screenshot in: C:\Users\dingh\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.28.2\Drivers\CMSISIn the relevant posts I found on the forum, there should be a lib folder in this folder. I‘m trying to link the dsp static library. Any idea how to find this folder？

I was creating an stm32 project for my stm32f411ceu6 dev board and when i opened the project i was not able to find the corresponding .ioc file for the board in order to configure the pins and clock for my use. When i created the project it showed the following error:Error downloading the following files:mcusAds.json._tmp_(Problem during download).   

Hi,    My project was working fine under CubeIDE and CubeMX until trying to upgrade it to 1.19 version.    My project disappeared even after tried to import it again (Got error).      CubeIDE always stayed in HOME page.    I had to uninstall 1.19 and reinstall 1.18.by doing below Action1 Uninstall STM32CubeIDE from Control Panel2 Delete C:\Users\rongw\.stm32cubeide\ :white_heavy_check_mark:3 Delete C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_<version>\4 Reboot (optional but recommended)5 Reinstall STM32CubeIDE 1,18.6 Choose a clean new workspace on first launch7 Re-import your .ioc project folder (I did autogenerate code from CubeMX before importing)  Then  IDE stayed in HOME Page,     Please help,   Thank you very much!

i tried many times to download stm32cube ide but it doesnot give me download link to start downloading , whenever i press latest download and login with my profile and press accept for terms and conditions it gives nothing, its not only for Stm32cubeide its for all others software in this website, plz help me and resolve this issue 

Hi, The timer 4 system description reports Timer 4 registers as TIM3_xxx. The original SVG file derived TIM4 from TIM3 incorrectly. i.e.<peripheral derivedFrom="TIM3"> A working file is attached. RegardsRJG

After upgradingSTM32CubeIDE from 1.18 to 1.19.0 and recompiling a project, I got thiswarning:The clock thing is an issue with SPI2 resp. I2S2The other thing I don't understand.I'm uploading the .ioc file here.

I made my own PCB, but when I connected 3V3, GND, SWDIO, and SWCLK using the ST-Link V2, the ST-Link is recognized, but my board is unresponsive.  

Currently the behaviour of CubeIDE is to always choose the same build configuration for the Run and Debug button.Is there a way to have the two seperated? Most of the time I want to flash the Debug build for debugging and the Release build with stronger optimizations when clicking Run.It got me confused quite some times already, why the current consumption of the target is so incredible high after flashing code with "Run", until I remembered that I had a debugging session before and now the build config for the "Run" button was changed to Debug config... So, is there a way to have the two buttons not change build config simultaneously but keep them separate?

Is it possible to edit the objcopy command emitted by the Stm32CubeIDEIDE? I need to make some adjustments to keep some RAM addresses from showing up in the hex file. Advice on the internet seems to thing this is easily adjustable in the IDE. However, I do not see any place where this can be modified. Thanks,Carl

Hello,Is there a trick to get the Build Analyzer to produce data every time the code is compiled?   It seems like the only way I can get it to update the window is if I change something in the linker script file and recompile again.   Is there an easier way or a setting that needs to be set?thanksMatthew

 FDCAN Clock Divider can silently change your actual CAN bit rateI ran into an issue on an STM32G474 where FDCAN3 would not receive any messages on a 250 kbps CAN bus. Hello,I am currently trying to develop for the STM32H573RIT6 microcontroller, however after generating a new project I run into an issue where I am unable to compile any code due to main.h attempting to include "stm32h5xx_hal.h", but it fails to compile as it fails to locate that file. The only file that I was able to locate was "stm32h5xx_hal_conf.h", but replacing that in the "main.h" file still fails to compile as it cannot find "stm32h5xx_hal_spi.h" and "stm32h5xx_hal_gpio.h". system_stm32h5xx.c also attempts to include the "stm325xx_hal.h" file as well and as a result errors. 

I am using an SD card with STM32F415. The MCU periodically enters STOP mode.Currently, I observe the following behaviour in the IDE related to SDIO:- Before enabling SDIO for the first time, the current consumption in STOP mode is as expected (around 180 µA), and the 48 MHz clock is greyed out in the Clock Configuration diagram in the IDE.- As soon as I enable SDIO in SD 1-bit mode, the 48 MHz clock becomes active in the Clock Configuration diagram, and the current consumption in STOP mode jumps up by 1 mA. This is true even if I disable the call to MX_SDIO_SD_Init() in main().- When I later disable the SDIO interface in the configurator, the 48 MHz clock remains active, and the current consumption in STOP mode remains with the additional 1 mA introduced when enabling the SD card for the first time.I see no way of disabling the 48 MHz clock, either temporarily (before going to STOP mode) or permanently (by disabling the SDIO altogether in the IDE).

Hey all, first and foremost I'm new to the embedded systems space, I've been trying to get my feet wet with a hello world project but for some reason with Cube 1.17.0 I'm missing the "MyST" login tab at the top of the screen. I've tried Re-installing thinking I had done something wrong during the original process to no avail. For further context I have a Linux system with the IDE installed and code generation worked properly on it however I found endless issues with the debugger and decided it might be an issue with Linux so I gave up and installed it into my windows machine to see if that helped with anything and now this is my new issue. To get around this issue as the ide suggested I navigated to "Help->stm32Cube Updates->Connection to my ST" and logged in through there and tried to create a new project and still it gave me the error as if I wasn't signed in, tried the same method again and it told me my session had expired, I haven't tried code generation just yet because

Hi everyone, I am trying to program my board but suddenly I am getting Target unknown error 32 Error in initializing ST-LINK device. Reason: Unknown. Please check power and cabling to target.this error. I tried connecting my board with STM32CubeProgrammer and it successfully connectedThis thing is only happening with IDE, I also updated the STLinkV3 firmware, restarted my PC several times and also changed my cable but I am still getting the error. Kindly help. 

I’m using STM32CubeIDE v1.19.0 (Build: 25607_20250703_0907) on Linux, and I’ve run into a recurring issue when creating a project from an existing .ioc file.When I go to:File > New > STM32 Project from existing .iocand select a valid .ioc file (that opens correctly in STM32CubeMX and works on real hardware), the “Targeted Project Type” field changes automatically from STM32Cube to “Empty”, and the resulting project has no .ioc linked and no code generated.This issue happens even with:- Fresh .ioc files- Clean, empty directories- New workspaces- Verified CubeIDE 1.19 installationHowever, if I open the same .ioc in **STM32CubeMX (standalone)**, perform a **Save As**, and generate the code with toolchain set to `STM32CubeIDE`, then import the project manually into CubeIDE — everything works fine.This same issue had occurred in CubeIDE 1.18.x and seems to persist in 1.19.0.Importantly, this workflow **used to w

I have an STM32G474 project that has been working for some time but the latest update doesn't generate code from the .ioc config GUI.If I make I make changes in the editor and select generate code, the pop flashes quickly and goes away but no code gets generated. I've tried this on a couple of Windows computers with the same result. 

Hi All,I started to have issue with CubeIDE. It "crash" / "close itself" after few moment after startup. Log is attached.
