I am learning to use the PWM Input mode to measure input frequency. I am using examples from the internet to help me along.In my .ioc file SYSCLK is set to 8MHz and with a prescaler set to /8 my HCLK and APB1 are set 1MhzIn the examples I studied in the callback routine Frequency is calculated either:1:   1000000 / capture_valuewhile another uses this method2:  SystemCoreClock / capture_valueMethod 1: works but in case you eventually need to change the prescaler you also need to change the constant.Method 2: sounds more robust but when I hover over "SystemCoreClock" in main.

Hello everyone, I am on Windows 11 and am using STM32CubeIDE version 1.18.0 (also tried on verison 1.18.1). I have logged into myST within the software as well (through Help->STM32Cube Updates -> Connection to myST). I can edit the pins in the .ioc file just fine, but I cannot open the code editor; I keep getting this particular error. I have tried closing and reopening the app, restarting my computer, deleting and reinstalling and downgraded the version to try to verify if the problem was in the software. Can someone help me? Screenshot of the app:   

Hi everyone.I've got a question about a strange aspect of my project and the compiling process.I have some files to be compiled for my project. The compile process goes fine, everything is correctly compiled and looking both on console output and build target, all the required file are correctly compiled.What strangely happens is that if I look to the size of the .text section at the end of compile process, it is equal to only 96Bytes which are a very small size infact my code doesn't work correctly both on debug and on release.Any suggestions where can I look to try to fix the issue? I've already given a look to the linked files (headers) and source location tab (all the required folders are into the sources list), same for .make files, and .map files Wich contains all the required files. On inspection, SCB->VTOR isfound to be 0x00000000, which causes all vector table lookups to point to incorrect (and un-programmed)memory, resulting in undefined interrupt dispatch.Technical Findings---------------

I have already updated my CubeIDE to the latest version 1.19.0 available on the official website. After writing the code with it, I attempted to download it to my F407VGT6 via STLink, but the download has never been successful. It always prompts "Could not verify ST device!" When I replaced one board with another, I was able to successfully download. The only difference between the two boards is that the silk-screening of the two VGT6s is slightly different. One has a small circle with "e3" inside and can be downloaded, while the one that cannot be downloaded has "e4" in the circle. I wonder if CubeIDE has not yet adapted to this chip. Has anyone encountered the same situation? I hope to get your solution!

 Hi everyone,I'm currently debugging UART communication (USART3) between an STM32G070CBTx and my PC using Hercules terminal (serial software). The setup seems to be working. I can see data being sent and received. I'm monitoring the TX_buffer and RX_buffer via Live Expressions in STM32CubeIDE.The issue is that when I try to view the contents of these buffers as ASCII characters, the debugger shows this error:72 '<error reading variable: Converting character sets: Invalid argument>'However, the buffer values are correctly shown as decimal ASCII values (e.g. 72 for 'H', 101 for 'e', etc.).A photo of the Live Expression view showing the error

I'm running IDE version 1.13.1 on MacOS 11.7.1 on a MBP with a dual core 2.8Ghz i7. Unlike every other IDE / CAD package that I use, STM32CubeIDE pegs my CPU really high and spins up the fans even when doing NOTHING. As in, there is no project open, no editors, no HW configuration, literally NOTHING.Why?

I am trying to debug my code, but it just ain't working the way it's working in e.g. the STM32CubeIDE intro-video on Youtube; I'm getting "No source available for main()", instead of Eclipse displaying where in the code it's actually at.I haven't changed any of the default-settings, other than where my workspace is and yes, I have build a debug-version instead of release-version and yes, I do see "-g3" - flag enabled in the compilation-console.How do I fix this?

Hello,I recently run into problem with not being able to debug my applications any more.I use STM32CubeIDE (and Atollic) without major problems for years now, but suddenly debugging does not start.I can flash the the device through the Run button. When I click debug it is also flashed but than progress stops at around 95% percent and stays there forever. Logs do not look the same every time so just some examples here.

HIi installed  STM32Cube IDE  latest version(1.19.0) in windows 10 platform for testing purpose, i got a problem that when i create a new project it cant select "STM32Cube" type (this is in gray mode), we tried with STM32F103C8T6 and some other chips , how to solve this , is it a bug in the ide ? , only we can create empty projects. please help me on this trouble , i have seen some solutions but it was not worked for me.
