STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

For Reference I have used IAR for 10+ years, now migrating to STM32CubeIDE for all future development. For clarity, my issue described below has nothing to do with transitioning from 1 platform to another.My issue is if I copy project A to project B, (with cut/paste option in STM32CubeIDE) I then have two MIRRORED copies of this project. Now if I make changes for testing purposes, etc on project B, all of these changes are in also reflected in project A !! What I really want are different versions, wherein I can test changes while maintaining a "base-set" of code as project A. Additionally when copying/pasting to create project B the included files (*.h), are not included in project B, and I have not figured out a way to include them. (no pun intended)Any assistance, even if it is referring to a manual that I missed reading would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance for all comments and offers of assistance,

I am using stm32CubeIDE and stm32f103.Suddenly, the modified source code is not reflected in the download.The cubeide says "Download verified successfully".

Hi,I'm debugging a STM32F765 application using STM32CubeIDE v1.3.1 with ST-Link/V3 debug adapter via OpenOCD.The Memory window shows a gap of 800 RAM bytes in a valid RAM area (see picture below). Any idea what can cause this ?ThanksDave

I want to import all files related to one project , such as DCMI_snapshot to another place, so any modification I made will not touch the original ones. Is it possible to do it? thanks

Hello,i use STM32CubeIDE to program STM32H753 and i now got this error in my disassembly (attached).The Code Piece is attached too.I tried a bit and have seen that the error only occurs when i add the for-loop. Without it, its all ok. When i move the for-loop out of the if-break, its ok too.The error occurs because the debugger tries to read from address 0x00010000, which doesnt exist physically (ITCM ends at 0x0000FFFF). But i dont know, why the debugger accesses that address.I attached the debug log too.Anyone an idea?Greetings

Summery:My aim is to run my board with external clock of 8Mhz with i2c1 enabled, However automatic CubeIDE Clock configuration code generate run time error.The details:Board with STM32F401RTE chip, New STM32CubeIDE project default clock configuration works fine. Board have external 8Mhz Crystal, which I want to use. I first enabled Crystal/Ceramic Resonator in the High Speed Clock (HSI) selection box, then I entered 8 in the input frequency box, then  I clicked on PLL source Mux to select HSE and on System Clock Mux to select PLLCLK. Then a few conflict (issues) showed up so I clicked on the: Resolve Clock Issues button. This resolved all issues in the graphic clock configuration tool BUT trying to run the program resulted error when the generated code try to configure the clock. here is the code resulting a call to Error_Handler() in the call to SystemClock_Config() as follow (both calls to Error_Handler() was invoked):

Hi, I am using STM32F446RET6 programming in stm32cubeide. In my project I want to write and read data on internal EEPROM.I could see library file working only for STM32L series. I found a user created library file from github. But the problem i faced was after every time I run the program i need to erase the whole chip and update the firmware. If didn't do so so I couldn't upload the program.It comes as this error

I keep getting the following failures when I try to run/debug a simple blinky program on my dev board. This is a fresh install of stm32cubeide, new project started with all peripherals NOT set to default settings. Instead I just set pin N3 (GPIOA, Pin 0) to an input and then a pin toggle loop starts when that is activated. I get a "debugger connection lost". Hi guys,I am using STM32CubeIDE so I use the generated code to initlialize my STM32F030C micro (clock configuration code below). When I hit debug from my C perpective the software compiles and launches the debug session ... everything works flawlessly. But if I want to reset the chip and restart de debug session as I used to do with Atollic I get a hard fault interrupt if I just hit the Resume play icon (F8).The HardFault_Handler is triggered normally in the first while loop Wait till HSI s ready although sometimes if I debug step by step it can be stuck in other while loop. Eventually If I debug step by step sometimes it get through the system clock configuration, and the pogram execution starts fine...The work around this is to use terminate and relaunch but this involves a slow flash rewrite process which it is not needed.Any ideas why this may be happening?Thanks a lot in advance!void SystemCloc

In STM32CubeIDE I created a C++ project. But the `main.c` is still generated with the .c extension and is compiled with the C compiler. That is why I cannot include the C++ headers to `main.c` (because the C compiler does not understand the keyword `class`). Thus I cannot create in `main.c` the global instances of the C++ classes.I can tell the IDE to use the `g++` (C++) compiler for this file rather than `gcc` (C compiler). But among the language standard options still only the C options are available (e.g. "GNU11 (ISO C11 + gnu extensions) (-std=gnu11)"). The compiler will still compile the file as a C file rather than C++.On the other hand I'm afraid to rename the `main.c` to `main.cpp` because it is regenerated during the code generation (after an update to .ioc file).So how to make STM32CubeIDE to place the `main()` function to a C++ file, e.g. `main.cpp`, rather than to a C file like `main.c`?---My current idea is

Atollic TrueStudio has some nice support for Micrium uC/OS-III RTOS development which allows a developer to view Task List, Semaphores, Mutexes, Message Queues, Event Flags, Timers, Memory Partitions, and System Information. This does not appear to be available in the STM32CubeIDE.When might we expect an update to the IDE to bring back some of this lost functionality? Alternatively, is there a good workaround for uC/OS-III ?I saw a similar question for the same type of support for FreeRTOS and there, at least, appeared to be some form of workaround there.

I've not modified the code, anf now I can't enter in Debbug mode.​I​ tested the ST-Link with other of my projects and it is working fine, the problem is with this new development that I'm trying. I am using STM32CubeIDE, version 1.2.0. I want to convert the elf file into an srec file with a particular format. I have tried editing the command line in the Post-build steps to read:arm-none-eabi-objcopy.exe -O srec —srec-len=28 —srec-forceS3 “$(BuildArtifactBaseName).elf�? “$(BuildArtifactBaseName).s19�?A file is generated with the .s19 extension but the file contents are in the Intel hex format.I have also tried to select the box in Tool Settings/ MCU Post build outputs window labeled “Convert to Motorola S-record�? and I get the same result. The generated file has the .srec extension but the format of the file is Intel hex.Has anyone figured out the correct way to do this?Thanks

In the Debug Configuration under the Debugger tab there is an option to add external QSPI loader .I have a custom external loader that is working with CubeProgrammer and STLinkUtility.I want to use this custom loader from within the CubeIDE.How can I add it to the list of available stldr files?

I tried to compile and run arm_rfft_q15(STM32F030R8) .In STM32CubeIDE, I'm using libarm_cortexM0l_math.a, the file is in STM32Cube_FW_F0_V1.11.0\Drivers\CMSIS\Lib\GCC, one of the functions I'm using is arm_rfft_q15. Build error: undefined reference to `arm_bitreversal_16'.The function that it is referring to is an assembly function found in the file arm_bitreversal2.s and I have made sure that file is in the source file.I have added .h files which are in STM32Cube_FW_F0_V1.11.0\Drivers\CMSIS\DSP\Include and the source files which are in STM32Cube_FW_F0_V1.11.0\Drivers\CMSIS\DSP\Source to my project .Is there any solution?

Eval Board STM3210E-EVAL with MPU STM32F103ZGT6.I'm trying to get the interrupt handler triggered upon reception of the character over UART1.For that I got the code generated by STM32CubeIDE, fixed a bit the Rx line setting, and got the hardware reception working (the char comes to the data register UART1.DR, the "Byte Received" flag RXNE gets set (to 1) in status reg USART1.SR, the interrupt is enabled with bit RXNEIE in control reg USART1.CR1). The interrupt is enabled in NVIC.ISER1, bit 5 (corresponding to interrupt 37 of USART1 global interrupt). But the interrupt handler USART1_IRQHandler() is not triggered.I see that the USART1_IRQHandler() handler's address is 0x80007f8. And I expect that address to be in the Interrupt Vector Table (vector at 0x0000_00D4, see the STM32F103xx Ref Man RM0008, Table 63, position 37). But at address 0x0000_00D4 I see the 0x80007f9 (instead of 0x80007f8) - the address of the handler is off by 1. I see the same (off by 1
