STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

An oldie but still needed, CRC in the last word of the FLASH segment. So I'm fine up until I get to the point when I tell TrueStudio my application is other than an .ELF because at Properties / Run/Debug Settings/ Edit / TrueStudio is hobbled by supporting only elf applications.Does Cube-IDE remove this limitation or is it also handicapped by an inability to launch anything but .elf files?I suspect the answer is no because ST. But might as well ask, maybe a miracle happened. There's a taunting file - STM32Cube_FW_ClassB_V2.3.0 - with examples for IAR, Keil, and even System Workbench. Nada for ST's own product. It's like every time I turn around ST shoots me in the head. Thanks guys! Hello, I am doing a UART example and I need to find the command to Enable the UART2 Peripheral Clock. I have enabled the GPIO clock: __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); // stm32f4xx_hal_rcc.hand now I need to enable the UART2 Clock Peripheral. Can anyone please help me.Thank you,Joe

Hello, I am going through a Udemy course on the FreeRTOS. The course does not use the latest version of STM32CubeIDE so I am having some troubles. I am using the Nucleo-F446RE Development kit. I have added the library STM32F4xx_StdPeriph_Driver and the library CMSIS. When I try to compile I am getting errors that I hope someone can help me find a fix. Hello all,I am using a STM32F446RE and am programming it using STM32Cube IDE. I am running it on Linux 18.04 LTS. It was perfectly working previously and now suddenly dont know what happened, it prompts the following message when I am connecting to the debugger. I downloaded the STM32CubeF7 bundle and extracted it. Then made a new folder under the projects folder of the bundle and started STM32CubeIDE with the workspace pointing to the projects folder. I started a new project blinkled and put the blink code in main.cThe code compiles ok, and I have a blinking led. Now as soon as I hit the debug button, all my code gets cleared out of the main.c folder.The file is actively overwritten, even if I keep the file open in an external editor.What am I doing wrong here?

Trouble sending/receiving UART message using HAL libraries.I can receive the correct number of data sent, but it only prints as one character ("-") I have been trying to figure out this problem all day. I am calling the following function with on a character array. I am trying to use the serial port innate in the nucleo board (usart 2, pins 2/3) to open up a serial monitor. The first times I would run it, I would get a string of characters printed out, all dashes "------------------" the length of my message. I tried messing with my gpio config, and all it managed to do was change the character that was being printed multiple times to an exclamation mark, and then a left bracket. I am using the arduino serial monitor, but have gotten the same results using minicom.I am using the same baud rate in both the serial monitor and my code, 115200. I am developing on a mac pro (Catalina),void printMsg(char *msg)

STM32CubeProgrammer installed and put an ICON on my desktop.But there is nothing for STM32CubeIDE.

I just tried to configure a STM32L021F4U and died, seems I can't initialize the devices with HAL without running out of memory. Looking at CubeMX for how to switch to LL from HAL is not apparent, down loaded 60mb of PDF files looking for the answer.

Hello,I am new to STM32 dev, so...Logic analyzer only shows a glitch on MOSI line of SPI1 of around 156 ms then it puts it back to LOW level; similar results for SPI3.Using PB3 (D23) and PB5 (D22) for SPI3; using PA7 (D11) for SPI1; Solder bridges: SB49-OFF, SB50-OFF; SB56-ON, SB57-OFFChecked with DMM for proper connectivity (MCU pin to pin socket)STM32CubeIDE v 1.3.0___The code___What is commented out has already been tried, and not only that.Help please!Thank you

I have been trying the CubeIDE recently with a couple of my own PCBs. While working on the code with the board connected to USB power everything was great, but after finalizing the program, I find that it doesn't start when simply powered on, without having the IDE trigger it via SWD (eg. by starting a debug run).However, the same boards with an equivalent program made by the mbed compiler do start ok with just a plain old power connection. Is there some setting that needs to be done for the CubeIDE version in order to have the program start when powered up?

I can't really see how the "Expression" window in the STM32CubeIDE in Debug mode is interpreting arrays. I have an array "receiveData" with 7 uint8_t elements that I receive via UART. When I check out this array under "Expressions" I see that the array has 7 elements, just as expected. But while the value is != 0, all array elements are shown with value 0! I would have expected the first to Hex-digits from "value" belonging to element 0, the next two digits to element 1 and so on.And in the detailed window at the bottom of the screenshot it only shows 6 times "\0" under details, not 7 times.So my two questions are:Why are all elements 0, while the value of the array in general is != 0?Why is the "Details" parameter showing less elements than the array actually has? 

first of all i had the FLASH problem (the MCU only has 64KB FLASH) so i brought up the external memory but is not possible to make debug aparently. As an evaluation board im a little dessapointed, couldnt find much support anywhere. i have been a couple of days traying to make it work. i comes with an touchgfx demo but i couldnt make it work with touchgfx tool either.

I have a project which uses multiple identical boards and needs them to have slightly different firmware. So I thought that having a folder for each firmware with its own main function in one project will be efficient because all boards will use the same libraries and I won't need to maintain multiple projects at one time. So is it possible to set up a project with multiple main functions in Cube IDE? If yes, how I can do it?

Using a known working project created by STM32CubeIDE for the F767ZI, I'm incorporating the NFC06A1 demo. When run, it fails to initialise RFAL. The problem appears when I execute demoIni(). It calls rfalNfcInitialize(), which calls rfalInitialize, which calls st25r3916Initialize(), and at line 136 st25r3916CheckChipID(NULL) is called. It appears the chip ID is not being obtained, so st25r3916CheckChipID returns False, and consequently st25r3916Initialize() returns ERR_HW_MISMATCH. I've spent a few weeks on this project, and now I'm getting into NFC driver details, when the problem is actually much more likely to be an environment/configuration issue with the F767.It's getting in the way of evaluating whether the 3916 will suit my project, so it would be really great to short-cut the pain and use a pre-created Cube project. So, does anyone have a F767-NFC06A1 project I could use?

Hi, using STM32CubeIDE 1.3.0 and the last libraries for H7 and FREERTOS, I have found a very big issue, when you edit the name of one existing TASK and you generate source code again, the new project is a working project, but has many parts of code removed or not completed, so the resulting compiled code is not working anymore. Using a WinMerge utility to diff files show me many source code is wrong generated! Can someone of ST investigate the issue?Has someone the same user experience?Best regards

I have a STM32F407VG DISCOVERY kit and I'm trying to load a project from C:\Users\<user>\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.25.0\ProjectsI'm using File->"Open Projects from Existing System".In the Project Explorer it shows:But the "hammer" is grayed-out so I cannot compile the code. Is there something else I need to do. I noticed that projects which I can compile have an IDE symbol will let me build, eg:

It was discussed over the web for over 5 years already, that the CubeMX doesn't have this simple feature of giving text suggestions over the most (recently) used variable names and HAL-functions etc. WITHOUT having to press "CTRL" + "Space" first. AVR Studio and other well known platforms offer this for more than 10 years already, and ST once promised to implement this finally as well. Really hoped to find this in CubeIDE now, but it's still not there, yet.

Hello.I am facing difficulties while trying to change the integrated development environment from EWARM to CubeIDE.Specifically, I am trying to import the source code of GPIO_EXTI in the example of STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.25.0.I'm checking in using the following steps, but I can't resolve the error. ・Select "File"-> "New"-> "STM32 Project" and select "32F411EDISCOVERY" to create a new project file. ・Replace Inc and Src files with GPIO_EXTI source files. ・Replace the Drivers file with the STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.25.0 file.If you have any materials or wisdom, could you help me?Thank you.
