STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

I have to build some projects that were developed in STM32CubeIDE using a continuous integration engine. This involves checking out the Git repo containing a project, then issuing commands to generate the Makefiles and make the relevant targets. This is a C++ project using the Gnu Make builder, and the build host is headless.The help center offers no insight into this, an Internet search was not helpful, and I could not find a mention of continuous integration in the ST communities.What command(s) should I issue to generate the project's Makefiles?Many thanks in advance,Paul

Is there any chance for a CubeIDE update that includes parsing and displaying Doxygen style documentation for functions/classes/definitions etc. in the hover tips? Currently, the IDE displays them in a very uncomfortable way, which negates the sense of creating this kind of documentation.

I see in the release notes that bug # 77518 - MCUFinder is unusable on Gnome Wayland is still going to be present in the upcoming version of the IDE (1.3.1). Is this issue being worked on? While forcing the application to use Xorg normally wouldn't be an issue, I have 4K displays and scaling does not work properly in parts of the IDE (mainly in the ST specific parts like cubemx)I use GDK_BACKEND=x11 GDK_SCALE=2 to start the IDE so at least its halfway usable.

I have two configuration, one for debug and one for release,Debug is the first one, when I change to release IDE doesn't care about that and continue to use Debug compilation parameters.It's really boring and dangerousCan you check on your side?Thank-you

I saw somewhere a very basic examples how to do basic GPIO. But now I can't find it. Most of my bookmarks for this forum do not work anyway, all though they not are so old.But could some one write examples of how to write or read one pin or several at once. And toggling of course. Hello, everyone.When downloading the code using STM32CubeProgrammer, I was able to download the code to the location I wanted by specifying the start address.What I'm curious about is how to set up to download to where I want to be when I debug and download using STM32CubeIDE. (For example, download code to flash memory bank 2 sector 0)Is there any way like this?

hi, I am using cubeide v1.3 on win10.While I am trying to generate code automatically using cubeide, I found I cannot change the firmware package name and version.Since I only installed STM32CubeFW_F4 V1.24.0, and I donot wanna update to the newest version which is 1.25. How can I change the setting, which now is not editable.

I just migrate a project from TrueSTUDIO to STM32CubeIDE. I am quite disappointed, the compilation and launching of the debug are twice as long. How is it possible ? This does not go in the direction of progress.How to recover the very practical icons of TrueSTUDIO?The "TrueSTUDIO build" action set is missing.Another thing: I already have all the STM32Cube_FW_***. I am using CubeIDE's embedded Software Packages Manager to manage the package. And I found there is a CMSIS package listed in dialog.I used Keil before which I know if I installed keil, this CMSIS package is already installed.My question is while using CubeIDE, CMSIS package need to be installed standalone here?Where can I download it since I wanna install from local?Thanks!

Hi . first of all is there any complete resource for all feature of stm32cubeIDE?Second of all in keil in debug mode we have a part for internal register of processor which show us the operating mode of processor for example thread or handler mode (as you can see in picture ) ,so in stm32cubeide I can see there is processor register but there is no internal part .

Is there any way to get the printf-style debugging enabled by SWV to output to a virtual com port in Windows?

i installed the ide and used it for 2 or 3 program. it was working fine. programming was OK. debug was OK. but after a while the MCU was always falling into hardfault.after 10 times of programming and changing the code it was stock in wierd lines of code. i couldn't even imagine the reason. at first i thought it is the code problem but i open the exact same project with cubeMX in keil and the code was working OK!!!!what is happing here???

How do I measure CPU usage for every task in CMSIS FreeRTOS?I enabled all run time and task stats gathering related definitions (GENERATE_RUN_TIME_STATS, USE_TRACE_FACILITY and USE_STATS_FORMATTING_FUNCTIONS) in STM32CubeIDE GUI.When I call vTaskGetRunTimeStats(), nothing is returned. The function uxTaskGetSystemState() inside vTaskGetRunTimeStats() returns that the task used 0 clock cycles every time.Do I need to set a timer or redefine some functions to get things working? How to do that?P.S.: I don't know if this is the correct place to ask about this.Thanks in advance.

I'm controlling the temperature of high power heaters in my project. Because ithe product can damage if the heaters stay on too long, I have added code to disable the heaters in the hard fault handler. This way I can be sure that if something goes wrong the heaters are turned off directly.However, it turns out that if the hard fault handler is entered while debugging a breakpoint is set at the beginning of the handler. All safety code that follows after the breakpoint isn't executed until I continue the program.Since the heaters can overheat in a few seconds there is a good chance I'm not fast enough to respond when this happens. Can anyone tell me how I can make STM32CubeIDE not stop there or not add breakpoints at the hard fault handler?

I have (from st.com) example project for MB1054A, but it is uVision project. Is it a way to import it in STM32CubeIDE?

Preamble: consider I have an STM32F4 Discovery Board.Hi,STM32CubeIDE offers a very good interface and opportunities. However, I am type of a person who wants to actually see each step. So, I want such a configuration that, only the minimum set of required files will be added to the project folder, and then I will code everything by mysel. I mean no HAL or LL libraries will be added etc. I just want that file in which register addresses are defined, (it was something like `stm32f40xx.h`) . And then I want to write my code into a fully clean empty(no System clock config function or gpio_init functions) `main.c` and and build the project, and load it into my board. I could not configure CubeIDE in that way. I tried somehow changing the advanced project settings of a STM32 Project in such way it will not overwrite those functions to main.c but I could not do it. Then I tried to just open a C project but this time I could not achieve to load the code into my b

Most of the time non predicted values coming in graph (very big numbers but actual sine values are unit vectors). My core clock is 170 Mhz,Timer1 period overflow interrupt rate is 10 K Hzintercafe SWD clock is 24000 K HzSerial wire viewer clock is 2000 H Hzsometimes the waveform is proper, but most of the time its not. Is there any speed limitation or extra setting i need to do ?.Surprisingly if i place sine wave code with delay of 1 milli second in main.c, its working as just as cool. But my project needs to run at 25K Hz minimum(control loop for power converters and sine wave will be generated in interrupt).so please help me whether SWV support this rate or not,

Hi I am using STM32G431 and last version of CubeIDE.When I am debugging on ADC12 Common resistor, It's address is 0x50000200.The address should be 0x50000300. How can I change that address? Or Can you change it?

Hi All,I'm using Nucle0-F429ZI board with SMT32Cube IDE. I can't debug after deleting sector 23. However, after the sector 12 deletes , there is no problem. Hi everyone!I try to install STM32CubeIDE in my MacBook Air it turns out there is a problem that is caused by macOS Catalina. When I try, it fails with the following error message: "This package is incompatible with this version of macOS. The package is trying to install content to the system volume.
