STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

There seems to be a bug that causes you to lose your files. I'm running version 1.0.1 of CubeIDE (build 3139_20190612-1256). When I tried to create a new project in my C:\Projects folder, I thought the IDE would create a new folder inside C:\Projects based on the project name I gave it. Instead, it erased all my files and folders in C:\Projects and errored out while creating my project directly in C:\Projects. There should have been a warning explaining where the new project would be created. And no files should have been deleted in the target folder.

Windows version in title. First fresh install v1.0.0. After install update to v1.0.1Programs starts and crashes with Stack Overflow and returns to Windows.Only minor difference during install : Workplace at a different drive and directory.Note: Program not used yet.Clean cash in install dir but no solution.

i am using ministm32f103rbt6 hardware. in stm32cubeide it is showing nuleo to geenrate a project. which board should i select .  please guide me for this controller to work on stm32cubeide. for can communication program how to configure. i am new to this . please guide me.thanks and regards,K Subrahmaniam

Hello everyone, just I want to know a little detail: when I’m debugging my program (C file) I suppose it goes to the flash memory! I want to know if it’s possible to debug to SD Card?

I first used a stm32f103 board,after generated code and configurated usbd_custom_hid_if.c and then download the code,my computer cant recognize the usb device.Then I changed to a f407 board, after done the same work,my computer can recognize the device as a hid device.But unfortunately the funcation "USBD_CUSTOM_HID_SendReport(&hUsbDeviceFS,sendbuffer,2)" seems not work,my computer cant receive any data from the board.

Hello.There are some problems with the repeatition counter (TIMX_RCR).The problem occurs when I enable the OPM setting to use the feature and enter a 16 bit value in the RepetitionCounter setting.I think that it is correct to change uint8_t RepetitionCounter declared in LL_TIM_InitTypeDef structure to uint16_t.I'm a newcomer, so I don't know if it's right to report a bug here.I wish somebody moved it to a suitable place.Thank you.

Hello,I have tried to set up GCov in STM32Cube IDE using this tuto:https://mcuoneclipse.com/2014/12/26/code-coverage-for-embedded-target-with-eclipse-gcc-and-gcov/I am using a STM32F413 and when I compile I got an overflow on RAM section by 150Kbytes.I am not sure it can be done so I wonder if someone already tried it. Maybe I have missed some init somewhere. I would appreciate some help.Kind regards,A.

HiI am evaluating the new STM32CubeIDE .When trying to create a new project (based on an existing project done using eclipse + GNU ARM Eclipse) i am encountering a problem when accessing the project properties to define include directories; Preprocessor defines, etc...When assessing "Project -> Properties -> C/C++ Build -> Settings" i am getting a "java.lang.NullPointerException". The error log is in the PostThe project was created as a new C project, I then copied to the folder the respective source code. Using TrueStudio we have a post build step which modifies the generated binary file, but using STM32CubeIDE doesn't work because the post build step is executed before the binary file is generated. I have several projects in a workspace that I share between two development computers...a laptop and a desktop. Last night I worked on my laptop. This morning the projects I worked on are not found in CubeIDE on the desktop. The files are in the workspace folder but CubeIDE does not see them. So I tried all the various flavors of import. Some didn't do anything but the ones that did all had this error when I tried to build: *** No rule to make target `all'.Of course the web is full of people complaining about this problem with CDT, but none of the answers work for me. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have managed to get reading and writing of SD card to work, however I still don't really get how does reading the SDIO's FIFO work. From tracing the code, I reading the FIFO is done by the SDIO_ReadFIFO() function in stm32f4xx_ll_sdmmc.c./** * @brief Read data (word) from Rx FIFO in blocking mode (polling) * @param SDIOx Pointer to SDMMC register base * @retval HAL status */ uint32_t SDIO_ReadFIFO(SDIO_TypeDef *SDIOx) { /* Read data from Rx FIFO */ return (SDIOx->FIFO); }The function simply returns the value at the FIFO address and every time this function is called, the value changes simply from reading it. Supported attributes are changed respect Truestudio and I didn't find anything about headless mode in the user manual. We would like to implement in our CI build server in order to use the same version in production and debugging on our local machines.Thanks in advance!

If I double click on the supposedly missing include file CubeIDE finds the file in the project path just fine...I seem to have to recreate the project in MX / clean-re-build to get the libraries to re-figure out that they exist. Very strange.Is there another non-buggy compiler that I should use that integrates with Cube ? Im on the Stm32L4 so I think I need to pay for the Keil IDE.

If I create an empty project instead of a Cube project, the options to manage the embedded software packages are grayed out and I therefore cannot install any SDK for the MCU.My only workaround is to create a dummy Cube project so I can download the necessary SDK, or use the CubeMX standalone software.I would like to file this as a bug.Also, on a similar note, when creating a new project (non Cube) - it would be nice if the required CMSIS files were added to the project

Created a simple project for my vldiscovery board in STM32cubeIde. try to compile and get this error message. It seems that the compiler can't find directory Startup in path. Added it to the path list - the result is still the same. Whats that? how to solve?

Using Atollic true studio before I used the headless option to build my project on the build server, where no IDE can be used. The build needs executing automatically on a git push.So far I'm unable to locate any way to build the project on the server.I want to carry on using the CubeIDE for development and able to build as it is now, but need a solution to build without the IDE.
