Hello, everyone:​I just migrate my development job from MDK to STM32CubeIDE. But I've got a little problem, details as follows:​1.environment STM32H750 + SDRAM(FMC), with bootloader in the AXI flash,but app was copied from spiFlash to AXI SRAM by the bootloader when system starts.​2.problem when I DO my job on the MDK, i can define an huge array in the SDRAM using the statement like this:unsigned char MemoryEx_Pool[MEMORY_EX_MAX_SIZE] __attribute__((at(SDRAM_BANK_1_ADDR)));where SDRAM_BANK_1_ADDR is defined as the start address of FMC 0xC0000000. Then nothing left to do, the compiler tools can deal with this automatically well. But on STM32CubeIde, it seems not that easy to get this work, I made some changes while migrating from MDK Project:1). I'm sure it's something silly and I can't believe I'm the only person who has seen this message but searching this site doesn't yield any clues. Can someone point me to what I am setting up wrong, presumably in the Debug Configuration menu ?

It seems like the example projects that are included in en.stm32cubel4 don't have versions for STM32cubeIDE. Maybe I just don't know where they are. Can anyone help guide me on how to import the default example projects or templates?

STM32CubeIDE doesn't seem to support project generation for dual-core STM32H745 MCUs at this time (as of version 1.0.1). Is support for these MCU's planned for some time in the future? Is dual-core debugging with visibility into all the registers of both MCU's going to be supported?

STM32CubeIDE v1.0.1 deletes all my project files when I'm generating code with the integrated CubeMx. This only happens when theres a wrong path set in settings under firmware update.It then shows me the following error. When I then click on OK, I see all the files of the project disappear in project explorer.This isn't a mayor problem as setting the path wrong only happens for me if I'm syncing it with another computer with Nextcloud and then generating code. But still this shouldn't happen.

Hi, I am trying to manage a BLDC motor using the P-Nucleo-IHM001, so NucleoF302R8 and X-Nucleo-IHM01M1.I would like to upload the firmware version with the example X-Cube-SPN8.When I launch the building, it gives errors due to a different path, that actually does not exist in my computer.

Hi,I am new to STM32CubeIDE but I decided to move some projects to brand new IDE, refresh them in the terms of used libraries etc.Initial version was prepared in AC6 SW4STM32 and was using FreeRTOS v9 and USB CUSTOM HID library that was generated by AC6, lets call it v1.I have generated new project in STM32CubeIDE, defined peripherals via CubeMX, added FreeRTOS (with CMSIS wrapper) and of course USB library (lets call it v2). It took some effort to glue all that new code with "old flesh" but I succeed and everything seems to work stable (excluding debugging initialization which very often refuses to start because is unable to stop the core - I have to erase chip in Utility and then it can flash it without problems..).The problem is that response of USB CUSTOM HID library is delayed. With GPIO I monitor execution of request being pushed from library to task queue (callback function that passes handler to 64B report buffer) and then with another GPIO

Serial wire viewer is not showing since STM32CubeIDE version 1.0.1. It has worked before in version 1.0.0.I'm trying to use it with a STM32F103RBT6 but also tried it with a Nucleo F103RB.The live Expressions work perfectly fine, but not the SWV it just does nothing (no I havent forgot to press the record button).

Hi everyone!I am trying to create a new STM32 project (not based on STM32Cube) that uses my supplied Makefile to build the project. This means that it should not use the CDT Managed Makefile way of building the source, but should use a user supplied Makefile in the root of the project (in the same directory as .project and .cproject).I create a new STM32 Project and specify the Targeted Project Type as "Empty":I then close STM32CubeIDE, delete the wizard generated source files, copy my source files into the project directory, restart STM32CubeIDE and press F5 to refresh the project.

Hi everyone!I am able to successfully create a new Makefile project in a directory containing existing code. It work seamlessly and I am able to build the code without a hitch but when I try to debug the actual hardware target (e.g. STM32L072RBTx) I hit a brick wall and I don't know how to proceed further.When I launch the "Debug Configurations" dialog, I get an error dialog: "Project setup issue: Not able to get mcu target. Reason: Build configuration is not valid. Described mcu target is not supported". See attached screenshot:How do I specify the HW target (after creating a Makefile project)? Any hints / tips / links would be much appreciated

I am contemplating a move over to CubeIDE from another commercial compiler and keen on the RTOS aware debugging (Using FreeRTOS) features.I have created a test project in CubeIDE but cannot see all these features (debugger views etc ) listed in the previous atollic release detailed here:http://blog.atollic.com/how-to-debug-freertos-projects-on-arm-cortex-m-devicesAm i missing something obvious or has all this now changed? PS. I have enabled Thread- aware RTOS support in the debug configurations.

I have cloned a project into ,y system and I opened the main.cpp file to build and check the code but I'm unable to find the build option. Also I nedd to debug using segger. Can someone please help me pout as I'm new to this and I'm very keen on learning

Hi, I'm evaluating STM32CubeIDE version 1.0.1.It has started badly, the file startup_stm32l151xc.s is missing in the generated code for STM32L151RC, I found it as an external reference in mx.scratch.Also the linker script STM32L151RCTx_FLASH.ld is missing.I won't ask why anybody dislikes to have them in the project folders, I'm just asking if there's a clean way to generate them with the rest of the code.Thanks

I started one of the sample projects about LwIP for an STM32H743ZI Nucleo boards in the CubeIDE. This project is by default only compiling C source files, so when I tried to make it compile both C and C++ source files by performing the project conversion "New->Convert to a C/C++ project (adds C/C++ Nature)", I am having trouble debugging.Instead of being able to set breakpoints in the source code, or even finding the first breakpoint in "main", I get a file tab with the address "0x8000f12".Inside the tab it reads:"Break at address "0x8000f12" with no debug information available, or outside of program code."My guess is that the project gets confused about what kind of source file it wants to look at, but how do you get around that?SOLUTION:Before making the conversion, the sample project is only C-based, which gives the project settings for using the "MCU GCC Linker".After conversion, this i
