STM32 MCUs Motor control

work bench cannot support stm32g4 2 shunt any one know why which is different cannot support

I have the example ElectronicSpeedControl code Generated by the Motor Control Workbench. I then open the .ioc in CubeMX and the just hit Generate. Then, I import this project using File->Open Project from FileSystem. This works fine too, but then when building, it complains about not being about to find esc_boot or esc_pwm_control. I can see that those files are in the ../Inc folder of the project, but CubeIDE isn't able to find them.However, if I just start a new project from the Motor Control Workbench and repeat the same steps with a blank template project for the B-G431B-ESC1, then that is able to compile and be flashed.Why is the CubeIDE not seeing or recognizing those files that are present in the same folder that other header files are able to be found in without a problem?Thanks!

When I try to generate code for SMT32CubdeIDE in HAL from Motor Control Workbench, it always finishes with errors..."Unable to load or decode JSON DB file C:\Users\<user_name>\.stmcufinder\plugins\mcufinder//mcu/mcusFeaturesAndDescription.json"I am having other problems getting a motor to run. And was wondering if this is having any effect.

Hi,I installed the motor control software (5.4.1) on my computer and start my design for STM32G4. After code generation, I have numerous motor related file in the scr/ and inc/ directories but they are all empty (they only contain the classical ST header). I tried with STM32F3, same issue. I'm using the latest cube MX and libraries.What's wrong?

I installed the driver and can see it in the device manager, but have "Connection Failed Error". Anyone know what I am missing here?

Hi,I have a P-NUCLEO-IHM03 dev kit which comes with a iPower gimbal motor (GBM2804 – 100T) , NUCLEO-G431RB and a power shield. I am running the 'Speed Ramp with potentiometer on P-NUCLEO-IHM03 kit' example in the motor control workbench.My intention is to run it at very low speeds, typically 5 rpm in a sensorless configuration. The example works fine for higher speeds >300rpm. There is also jerks when it starts up and the motor starts only after the pot is moved past a minimum offset value. Kindly help me in configuring the parameters in the Motor Control Workbench to achieve the same.Thanks,Vimal

I am operating servo motor with Motor Control Workbench. I can effectively and repeatable operate same motor in Open Loop like Oberser+PLL. But when I switch to 2500 PPR Encoder as my primary sensor, problem starts. It starts some time and many times it not. controller try to run motor on rated speed of 2500 RPM and overshoots but doesn't start it successfully. See some screen shots of start up. Then Over voltage error comes in. This is happen 90% of my trials. I have some suspicion of high PI constants for such behaviors but reducing them to 100 and 50 doesn't solve problem. Observer+PLL had 300 and 500 respectively.Does anybody have encountered same issues? How you solve them? please suggest? Thank You.

Hi.I have configured the basic project in MotorControl Workbench for 36V BLDC with integrated HAL sensors, but when I try to start it the motor ripples for a moment and than I have a speed fault. In workbench integrated monitor I can see that speed changes when I rotate the motor manualy, so I have no idea what am I doing wrong. Where should I search the problem?

I'm trying to generate code so I can evaluate STEVAL-ESC001V1.However the code I'm able to generate either does not have all the header files present or when manually finding and adding those files the code compile gives just an error 1 and nothing else.Steps I have done are:Install STM32CubeIDE 1.2.0Install STM32CubeMX 5.4.0Install Motor Control package 5.4.3Configure all the correct parameters for STEVAL-ESC001V1.Press Generate code.Import the code in STM32CubeIDEObserve bunch of errors when compiling.I see other people have been also struggling with motor control workbench and there seems not the be any solution for this.

I have generated a project using ST Motor Control Workbench. I have compiled the project and downloaded to microcontroller. I can debbug the program but when I start Monitor from Motor Control Workbench and click on "Connect" I receive the message : " Connection failed! No response, check the communication cable, the power on the board or the baudrate (set to 19200 bps)."The baudrate is set to 19200 in Monitor and in Device Manager.

I need ST Motor Control Workbench v5.4.1. because my motor won't start after project generating with v5.4.3.

I have also been told that I can use NUCLEO-G431RB card as a controller. Unfortunately I am not able to setup DC Brushed motor with mcsdk. I also could not find the right driver in Motor Control Workbench. Does really any support available for brushed motor in ST librarry. If yes, what is my mistake? I will appreciate any help.

The exact same thing happens with both controller boards and both motors. I've tried different combinations of voltage, current and max speed. Hi everyone,I am using a p-nucleo-ihm03 pack to try to improve the control of the motor included. The issue I am having is that if the software already performs FOC for you. Is there any room for the user to improve the control of the motor ? Please could you let me know the areas which could be improved by means of the Workbench or any other related tools you may know of ? Thanks in advanced.P.S. Also could someone let me know if the Gimbal motor in the p-nucleo-ihm03 is a PMSM or a BLDC motor ? I have looked everywhere online but I haven't found the answer.

Help me choose a evaluation kit for control PMSM (FOC) with encoder for learning. I need used Motor control Workbench with motor profiler with examples. I need to change code by CubeID and CubeMx and build graphs (STM32CubeMonitor).I want to buy EVALKIT-ROBOT-1 but I do not undestend how i can connected to PC, because that board (STSPIN32F0A) have not USB port and have not embedded ST-Link.Help me.

Ill admit that im very fresh when it comes to ST products and software which is probably why Im having trouble.Im trying to set up a B-G431B-ESC1 essentially like closed loop servo driver. So far Ive managed to run the motor profiler and started a new project in the motor control workbench but Im getting the following error. When I set the speed sensor to an encoder some of the IO pins seem to be clashing. What I dont get is how to choose which one to use since I cant find a schematic or any reference to which ones should be used. Ive found where to set the controller in torque mode but I cant see where to set the input type.Assuming I can get past this issue what is the next step to go to to program the controller? The shear amount of programs required is proving hard to get my head aroundThanks
